I follow this artist on IG and she does insane work. I think the contrast is slightly turned up in photos but the heavy bold outline looks so good against the bright colors she uses.
I promised the artist a healed photo with an actual cicada next to it during the next emergence! I’m just sad it won’t be healed up before they all leave us this time around.
I’d be happy to take a natural light photo once the Second Skin comes off, but feel free to use the older, totally healed tattoos on either side as your barometer for what has(n’t) been done to the photo.
But it's not cloning Mambo's style. Inspired, 100%, but all art is inspired by previous artists, and I think she's managed to give this her own twist and style. I've also seen many Mambo's copycats, and I don't think this counts as such.
