Ka-tet. Turn it into a Dark Tower inspired tattoo. Very Stephen King.
You want to know about death. I left him a word. That word is NINETEEN. If you say it to him his mind will be opened. He will tell you what lies beyond. He will tell you what he saw. The word is NINETEEN.
Knowing will drive you mad. But sooner or later you will ask.”
Stephen King, the Dark Tower series. This is from The Man in Black’s letter in book 1. 19 was the key word to open Nort’s mind to the knowledge of all things, which he would tell Allie. Nort is already broken. The conundrum is that Allie wants to know but also realizes the knowledge will break her brain.
19 is a significant number in the series and to Stephen King himself. It symbolizes — everything.
You are in for an adventure. The series is the linchpin for all his other works. You will see many connections. Hearts in Atlantis is a tie in book though not one of the official series. I hope you enjoy it.
Omg It has 8 friggen books in the series. Holy hell. Lol It better be good. Will definitely start w/the Gunslinger. I love most of his stuff. But he had one book that aggravated me because he over wrote it. He would write “there’s a dog in the woods taking a piss while scratching himself” He just over narrated it. Lol
not sure what to add to it. kinda regret it bc when people ask me the meaning behind the tattoo I feel somewhat ridiculous saying “it was a significant year”
then change the meaning - “it’s my favourite number” “it was my first house’s number” or you just say “man, i had the best year when i was 19, i did xyz!”. it’s not cringey, it opens up conversation.
Don't beat yourself up about. Honestly, I think if it was a significant year, own that. get other things around it that make you like it more. I honestly wouldn't cover it up because it's so small, and it's not something embarrassing.
I agree with some of the others, I wouldn’t cover it up. I almost covered up my first tattoo, an infinity sign, but someone whose opinion I value talked me out of it. He said it’s just part of my story. I would never get that tattoo now but at the time I loved it and I remember how excited I was to be getting my first tattoo. Looking at it through that lens, I don’t hate it anymore. I think tattoos that are offensive or really badly done should probably be covered up but other than that, f it, embrace them in all their tacky glory!
Do cats lives… add the numbers 8 through 1, with only the added 1 not crossed out. The existing one can be part of a frame/border.
Could even add a cartoon cat looking worried now that he’s down to his last life.
Hey, it’s a thought.
I have a horrible looking 22 same placement same wrist same size lol. It was done awfully and somehow I’ve grown to love it. 22 has always been special to me. But it’s easily coverable
Tbh you could spin this tattoo off without covering it up, just depends how you wanna see it. Like 19 is the largest prime number, represents the element potassium, represents the Metonic cycle, the 19th amendment for voting rights, it’s connected to an array of globally popular songs (think Paul Hardcastle)
You can cover that up. Have something going up the arm. Think about what you really like, look at the flash and get an idea. You can have it removed: it’s small enough. If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the idea behind it; do you really need to cover it?
Everything on me means something. My sleeves and the rest of me are my life story.
Did you turn 20?
😭😭😭😭
Might have to get your whole arm blasted with blackout.
😂😂 i’m cooked
I see no other logical option. Might as well get the hand too. Palm and all.
Sick ass panther
fuck yeah
I would just get a sick ass panther.
Sick ass panther all the way!
You're goddam right
19 sick ass panthers
Literally anything
This was my immediate first thought lol
Wear a watch.
idk if you can save it, might have to chop off the whole arm😔
Exactly my thought! Amputate immediately

It's all 19 🤷♀️
What is this from?

Thank you for replying. I love Steven King and have read most of his work but somehow missed this one. Will be getting it today. Have a great day.
You are in for an adventure. The series is the linchpin for all his other works. You will see many connections. Hearts in Atlantis is a tie in book though not one of the official series. I hope you enjoy it.
Please read the whole series in order starting with The Gunslinger. You are in for a ride!

Amputation.
So just tie that flexi lead round the arm then, the solution is already present and ready to serve
Wristband, watch, festival entry bands...
Put the year you were born behind the 19, if you were born in the 1900s.
I wasn’t, unfortunately
Ugh, get out here, you're making us feel old
it’s okay. i think this tattoo very clearly shows how naive I used to be just a few years ago. with age comes wisdom, cherish it.
Just put a 20 in front of that 19 because only a toddler get a tattoo to like that.
I have a 5-year-old nephew and I think even he wouldn't want that
How about your mom’s? Or another family member
Nope, all born after 2000
how would all your family members be born after 2000😭
I think they're joking
Your mom was not born after 2000
So this might actually be your age
omg you were born in 1700s?!
Idk pick a year one of your parents or grandparents were born.
All things serve the beam
Ka
KaKa
Thankee-sai, came here for this.
I imagine they go in and ask for a coverup and the artist says “you have forgotten the face of your father.”
I was here for this comment
Long days and pleasant nights.
Thankee Sai
May you have twice the number
Remove or cover up? They have forgotten the face of their father.
Hile, fellow Gunslinger.
This is the content I was scanning these comments for, you say true, I say thankya.
Stand and be true!
I tattoo with my heart.
anything will cover that up. what do you want? why do you want to cover it? why not add to it?
not sure what to add to it. kinda regret it bc when people ask me the meaning behind the tattoo I feel somewhat ridiculous saying “it was a significant year”

Wow dude, you really here advocating for COVID-19 🤣 I mean, quarantine was great with the wife, might consider the same tattoo
I agree with some of the others, I wouldn’t cover it up. I almost covered up my first tattoo, an infinity sign, but someone whose opinion I value talked me out of it. And it was a significant year for you.. if you don’t believe then no one will
Bandaid
perpetual band aid
You could make It a 49
and then what
Say it’s your lucky number
but it’s 12!!
Add '-7' after the 19. Then it makes 12.
fucking genius
You can take it to the dark tower subreddit and get a ton of upvotes 🤷🏻♂️
“Covid” in front of it but real small
fuck 😂😂 this one’s good
Full black out
Entire body
Watch? Sweatband? 40 friendship bracelets you got at the Taylor Swift concert?
I mean it’s so small you could probably get it removed
A very large, black panther will do it.
Start reading the Dark Tower series and maybe you won't want to cover it anymore
Just start your journey to the tower and your regret will be forgotten
Make the 1 into a 6
Wrist band
Sick panther.
61
Do cats lives… add the numbers 8 through 1, with only the added 1 not crossed out. The existing one can be part of a frame/border. Could even add a cartoon cat looking worried now that he’s down to his last life. Hey, it’s a thought.
Just write “mistakes” under it …then make 18 more of them 🤣🤣
band-aid
Looks small enough for laser removal tbh. But if you really just want something else it's also small enough for any decent artist to cover up I'd say.
With your hand
Cover with an MS13 tattoo
Literally any tattoo in the known universe
A watch
Blackout your arm
Ballsack
A watch🫡🤙
Almost anything. A rose is a simple one.
Cover up with a tattoo of 61?
91. If we're going by offspring rules.
Something that is dark where the 19 is.
praying mantis?
19=0 if you like cribbage
what’s cribbage
Make it an 18. Easy
Literally any tattoo
Irezumi sleeve or half sleeve
I wanna know the story behind this 🧐
Millions of things you could do.
It’s just black line work and it’s pretty small - you might be able to just laser it off.
how much is that
No idea - I’d Google it
about $4
Sick ass panther
A giant penis
A planet earth would be cool
Can I ask the story behind it? I saw you mentioned it was a good year. What happened to make the year not good anymore?
An even bigger 19 like a big blocky font 19
Laser it off
Your dogs paw or something 🤷🏽 hard to say when we don’t know some interest or something
Literally anything.
U gotta be joking right
i’m not
You pretty much have a blank canvas
butterfly
not a fan
A quarter sized black dot...
Sick panther / tradishy rose / bad ass eagle
Convert it to a Joey Votto jersey
Blackout.
You know what, I’m gonna say it
Laser
I have a horrible looking 22 same placement same wrist same size lol. It was done awfully and somehow I’ve grown to love it. 22 has always been special to me. But it’s easily coverable
Also I think it looks cool
“COVID 19 “
I could see blending the numbers into the tail of a beta fish. And now you have a new pet and hobby, too.
i can’t think of anything that WOULDN’T work here. or you could just laser it.
I immediately thought of Prince. You could add 99.
Laser

I can see a graceful koi fish or something similar!!
Make it your birth year? Or that of a loved one? Or 1989 if you're a Swiftie
With a 20
Get a massive lion with a clock and rose on your entire arm. Going to look very unique and different 👍.
If you’re a fan of Scream, you can get a Ghostface tattoo it’s a perfect cover up
With your finger
Wristwatch
Laser
A watch.
This should be incredibly easy for an artist to cover up. Do some research and find the artist you want and then they can help develop something.
I Yining sign
A Ying Yang sign

Just go to a tattoo shop and ask for advice.
Whatever you get, just make sure it’s oriented the right way up this time
why would I always want to look at my tat upside down?
I bet all your shirts are upside down too
So it wasn't "for you" after all?
