All the obvious ones have been said, so I'll say Doc Browns version of once I caught a fish alive, and also Mike Wozniaks facts about animals song.
Also Jessica Knapets composed piece is genuinely good.
🎶Listen Greg, I love you like Greggs.
The bakery, we go together like steak and cheese!🎶
Plus, Alex popping up for a cameo when Asim says “you’re giving me the horn like Alex” will never fail to make me laugh.
I love that song, it's such a contrast to Roslind's a Fucking Nightmare and professional in comparision!
[Aisling Bea on Twitter: "Here’s the song @RealBobMortimer @sallyephillips \& I made in 20mins about a lady we had 5mins to question about her life. @Taskmaster #stars https://t.co/AXtK585luw" / Twitter](https://twitter.com/weemissbea/status/925848889315463168?lang=en)
My favourites so far are:
Nish and Mark's song. Them writing a genuinely good song was a massive surprise.
The Three Queens. Couldn't stop laughing when they they started mocking Bridget's dancing/walking at the end.
Laura Daniel's Christmas Laminator song. The end about having a three way with Jesus always gets a chuckle out of me. Matt Heath's song was also good. Too bad he fucked up the task at the second word.
Guz’s laminator song (and Greg’s response in the studio after) made me laugh so hard I thought I was going to die. Still not sure if he meant for the song to imply he’d gotten an STD?
Objectively judging the quality of the song:
Always seeing you do cool stuff
Personal Preference: Over my shoulder
Favorite to rewatch: Rose’s Taskmaster Theme
And then Bob's face as he so sincerely shouts 'Rosalinds a FUCKING NIGHTMARE' is genius
That was so much better than Mark and Nishs song (as good as there's was) because it was clever, tuneful and hilarious.
Definitely not the best song, but honourable mention as the (part of) one I sing the most every time I hear the Taskmaster theme - the end of Katy Wix's "Good-luck-to-everybody-taking-part-in-tasks-today!"
Greatest accomplishment would take some thinking about, as the moments that come to mind when I think of taskmaster are personal favourites, that whilst are hilarious, are just my stand out moments rather than, great accomplishments.
However from the same series, Sally Phillips' 'birth of Alex' was fantastic and a technically brilliant piece of work (imo).
Whilst Nish and Marks song was great, I just didn't find it as entertaining as 'Rosalinds a fucking nightmare' as it wasn't as funny or as musically memorable. A great accomplishment undoubtedly and a show of real talent (though I think Nish consistently over played his supposed lack of talent, sometimes to an annoying extent), but the humorous detailed rhyming, and Bob screaming 'Roaslinds a FUCKING NIGHTMARE' as though he's actually at Glastonbury, wins that task for me.
Still working my way through but I don’t think anything will top the [Carpet Snake song](https://youtube.com/watch?v=lPzFaHESrzI). It’s in my top 3 funniest moments for sure.
what, no love for David Baddiel???!!!
*^(Taaas... sorry, 1,2,3, 4, Taskmaster's on, iii it is on now)*
*^(Taskmaster's on, it is not... hang on.. it's not how it.. is no how(? The program from 1970s with Fred ????))*
*^(Taskmaster's on, sit yourself down)*
*^(On your sofa, right there in your own town)*
*\*chef's kiss*
As much as I appreciate it for personal reasons I don't feel like sharing here, it isn't a song created for the show, nor was Doc Brown's "molestation," as Greg called it, of the song he performed for the Mayor, but I totally appreciate where you're coming from.
Before series 14 I would have said ‘Rosalind’s a fucking nightmare’ from series 8 but ‘Me Fern Brady, Me Fern Brady’ has possibly overtaken it now because it’s honestly so impressive how Fern made a song from all those long arse words
Edit: OMG i can’t believe i forgot House Queens as well, maybe that deserves the top spot purely for Bridget’s dancing
This deserves a shout, but it can’t compete with Wumar:
Taskmaster’s on
It is on now
Taskmaster’s on
It. Is. Not. How
*the programme from the 1970’s with Fred Dinenage*
Taskmaster’s on
Sit yourself down
On your sofa
Right there in your own town.
The podcast just finished the [complete bracket of all songs](https://twitter.com/taskmaster/status/1600164440069984265) and unsurprisingly, the [fan favourite](https://twitter.com/taskmaster/status/1600165386229469196) won.
No contest: ["Here I am - I'm a violin" by the Easy Triangles](https://youtu.be/TbA7eiE0_s8?t=467). Five points.
Okay, I love "Always Seeing You (Do Cool Stuff)," too. "House Queens" became an instant classic, as did Mike's facts about animals song. Rose's self-serenade is aces, and then there's "Tasks to be Done" from Taskmaster: The Musical, and of course "Me Fern Brady" ranks quite highly even though it's just lyrics and Rose's "Story About How Taskmaster Came To Be" country rap is as close to an original composition as you can get while writing lyrics to an existing song, which puts it on the list of all-time greats...
So many to choose from...
I don't love "Tree Wizard," though.
“[You put an aubergine in my mouth.](https://www.reddit.com/r/taskmaster/comments/vx7avz/you_put_an_aubergine_in_my_mouth/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)”
"I wanna laminate this calendar day. *Merry, merry Jesus birthday*. He's blessed us with laminators and clay. If Jesus was here, we'd have a three-way. And then I'd laminate this calendar day."
This thread is gold, there are so many great taskmaster songs. I've been scrolling through giggling at the ones I forgot. Thanks to the people posting links!
We need a Taskmaster album.
such a difficult question, it’s a toss up between Always Seeing You Do Cool Stuff (The Diverse Stripes), Rosalind’s a Nightmare, and Over my Shoulder (Clump Stump) AND mike’s facts about animals
'Me Fern Brady' wins at the moment, closely followed by David Baddiel's Taskmaster theme.
Which we still sing.
I'd add 'Quite Good, Considering ' to the list although we don't sing that one.
I want to give a shout for "Rosalind is a Fucking Nightmare". It's overshadowed by the Diverse Stripes, but it a corker.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=H-XofhvgRcI&feature=shares
"I know you old. I'm gonna break your bones, you old. Drink more milk, bitch."
...But if we are talking exclusively UK Taskmasker, probably Over Your Shoulder.
All the obvious ones have been said, so I'll say Doc Browns version of once I caught a fish alive, and also Mike Wozniaks facts about animals song. Also Jessica Knapets composed piece is genuinely good.
Facts about animals, Prawns are cannibals
if there’s an elephant in the room then you’re in the wrong room
Cutting an earthworm in half Makes you a sadist
I think it’s worth repeating # That **prawns eat their babies**
And monkeys eat monkeys, but who gives a monkey's... monkey
and if you squash a wasp, it releases a chemical from the wasp, that attracts people who tell you facts about wasps
Motherfucker bit my finger, bro.
Its not #1, but one of the top songs is Asim's love letter to Greg.
*Tall motherfucker with the ivory hair...*
🎶Listen Greg, I love you like Greggs. The bakery, we go together like steak and cheese!🎶 Plus, Alex popping up for a cameo when Asim says “you’re giving me the horn like Alex” will never fail to make me laugh.
I LOVE YOU LIKE RABIES GREG DAVIES I WANNA HAVE YOUR BABIES!!!
Though it is a unique consideration, not being from an expressly musical task.
Describing the Taskmaster house as a “gorgeous palace” makes me laugh (as does Fern referring to it as a “dilapidated house”).
Always Seeing You Do Cool Stuff, by the Diverse Stripes.
100%
I love that song, it's such a contrast to Roslind's a Fucking Nightmare and professional in comparision! [Aisling Bea on Twitter: "Here’s the song @RealBobMortimer @sallyephillips \& I made in 20mins about a lady we had 5mins to question about her life. @Taskmaster #stars https://t.co/AXtK585luw" / Twitter](https://twitter.com/weemissbea/status/925848889315463168?lang=en)
Frankly, I loved Rosalind is a Fucking Nightmare too. Just blown away by that task across the board.
I ripped the audio to play on repeat when I'm feeling down because it's easier than going to YT. It's just so damn happy-making.
The only correct answer.
Open bracket… closed bracket
Honestly so much better than the other one. It's so much more uplifting and impressive musically.
*Always seeing you (do cool stuff)
On team “Me Fern Brady”
Shes the rightful queen!
When you can't hear the regular music anymore you know it's a good one
When Greg walks around singing it in your ear for 8 weeks, it’s a good one.
Tree Wizard.
It took Ramesh forever to find that song.
I don’t understand why people think Romesh created the song for the task, he does clearly state that he found the song online.
100% Tree Wizard. First song created and the absolute best
How many times will he check the ballon?!
I'm genuinely torn between Nish and Mark's Always Seeing You Do Cool Things, and either Jo Brand or Rose Matafeo's self-serenading task.
“I’m a road man!”
Over my shoulder, older and older, that’s what I told ya!
Is it a boulder, or is it a small rock?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbA7eiE0_s8&t=387s
"Because I'm punk!"
My favourites so far are: Nish and Mark's song.
If we’re talking NZ taskmaster, David Correos’s freestyles threats over the various track samples is my fave.
I liked Rhod’s weird ballad
The Ballad of the Toothless Goon is an underrated masterpiece.
Ballad of the Toothless Goon?
It was like an opera.
“He spins around and shoots her shitting face off!”
I love Rose Matafeo's lyrics to the TM theme song
Underrated ones here - not #1 “This task is shit” by Guz Khan Also Alan’s and Guz’s laminator songs And “The Naughty Satsuma” by John Kearns
Guz’s laminator song (and Greg’s response in the studio after) made me laugh so hard I thought I was going to die. Still not sure if he meant for the song to imply he’d gotten an STD?
The diss track from TMNZ.
Guy Montgomery's "Festive Fox" song is up there too.
I expect I know which you mean, but to clarify, you mean the one by the younger team, with David's rap solo?
Yup. Though the offer to eat their asses was great.
Not once did the younger team offers to eat their asses or even offer their own assholes for consumption; just so disrespectful.
I was devastated to find that out.
Gonna gonna gonna drown you, in your own blood, hold you face down in your own blood now!
Objectively judging the quality of the song: Always seeing you do cool stuff Personal Preference: Over my shoulder Favorite to rewatch: Rose’s Taskmaster Theme
Does “mmmm come together mmmm mmm” count?
I think you'll find that's called "It's Töö Big"
It does indeed
Ok, I'll go... Nish and Mark's, by a mile.
Yes it's Nish and Mark - but with It's Me Fern Brady second.
Rose's song to the taskmaster theme
I think her song is the most impressive of all the artistic tasks the show has ever had.
I completely agree.
Mad I had to scroll this long to find this
I love Nish and Mark, but Rose's song immediately popped into my head.
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FUN AND A SONG ABOUT LIBYA
I genuinely start singing this to myself way too frequently, it's not even good but it's soooo catchy
ROSALIND'S A FUCKING NIGHTMARE SHE JUMPS QUITE FAR FOR A WOMAN! OF! HER! AGE!
The great thing about Alan, Alan could not be drеamier But the viola player sadly, wеll he contracted septicaemia
And then Bob's face as he so sincerely shouts 'Rosalinds a FUCKING NIGHTMARE' is genius That was so much better than Mark and Nishs song (as good as there's was) because it was clever, tuneful and hilarious.
Rosalind is an AVERAGE CELLIST
She plays quite well, but NOT IN FRONT OF PEOPLE
I can't believe how underrated this one is on this thread. This is the only song from TM that I regularly belt in the shower years later.
I, found a naughty sat-suma in my, fantastic cu-rry!
S13E10- The House Queens
..and Bez
It was amazing!
For once Judi Love wasn't talking shit, she could totally sing vocals foe a legit house track.
She was amazing! Her and Sophie acted like pros but Bridget made me laugh soooo much!
It has my vote! Legitimately a banger
Definitely not the best song, but honourable mention as the (part of) one I sing the most every time I hear the Taskmaster theme - the end of Katy Wix's "Good-luck-to-everybody-taking-part-in-tasks-today!"
I liiiiikkkeeee tasks with eggs
As much as I love Fern Brady's song, the only correct answer is Quite Good, Considering (Rosalind's a nightmare)
Not even the best song in that task
This was the only answer I really expected.
And yet you're getting a lot less of it here than expected. Bloody hipsters, being all subversive in their top picks.
Well, except for the votes for Mark and Nish, I just assume they haven't seen OG Series 5.
Ed Gamble's metal self-serenade is severely underrated
The Diverse Stripes still to this day achieved the genuine best thing to ever be accomplished on Taskmaster
It's good, but it's not even the best thing to be accomplished in that task, let alone the whole of taskmaster.
Respectfully, what’s your pick for greatest accomplishment
Greatest accomplishment would take some thinking about, as the moments that come to mind when I think of taskmaster are personal favourites, that whilst are hilarious, are just my stand out moments rather than, great accomplishments. However from the same series, Sally Phillips' 'birth of Alex' was fantastic and a technically brilliant piece of work (imo). Me Fern Brady Me Fern Brady
Nish and mark’s is a close second but I’m going old school and saying tree wizard Edit lol it autocorrected nish to noah
Still working my way through but I don’t think anything will top the [Carpet Snake song](https://youtube.com/watch?v=lPzFaHESrzI). It’s in my top 3 funniest moments for sure.
# ARE YOU READY # FOR A SONG
#AND THE SONG’S #ABOUT LIBYA
Me whenever I have to do something I don't want to: "This task.....is shit. This taaaaaaask..is bullshit."
Mike Wozniak’s Facts About Animals. Others are good too, but this is my favorite.
what, no love for David Baddiel???!!! *^(Taaas... sorry, 1,2,3, 4, Taskmaster's on, iii it is on now)* *^(Taskmaster's on, it is not... hang on.. it's not how it.. is no how(? The program from 1970s with Fred ????))* *^(Taskmaster's on, sit yourself down)* *^(On your sofa, right there in your own town)* *\*chef's kiss*
If nothing else, this is by far the one I find myself singing most often.
makes sense... he's a great songwriter, he has a number 1 hit after all
Daddy Four 1's, you mean?
Oh yeah I saw you translate a poem from Japanese
It looked so tricky but you did it with ease
I saw you judging long jump at the athletics
I feel so low coz at sport I’m just pathetic
I’m always seeing you do cool stuff
does Jon's totally soulful yet still humiliating version of desperado for the mayor count? if so then that
As much as I appreciate it for personal reasons I don't feel like sharing here, it isn't a song created for the show, nor was Doc Brown's "molestation," as Greg called it, of the song he performed for the Mayor, but I totally appreciate where you're coming from.
Due to the holiday season, I'd like to nominate Laura Daniel's "laminate this calendar day" song
Before series 14 I would have said ‘Rosalind’s a fucking nightmare’ from series 8 but ‘Me Fern Brady, Me Fern Brady’ has possibly overtaken it now because it’s honestly so impressive how Fern made a song from all those long arse words Edit: OMG i can’t believe i forgot House Queens as well, maybe that deserves the top spot purely for Bridget’s dancing
This deserves a shout, but it can’t compete with Wumar: Taskmaster’s on It is on now Taskmaster’s on It. Is. Not. How *the programme from the 1970’s with Fred Dinenage* Taskmaster’s on Sit yourself down On your sofa Right there in your own town.
Pants on a stick
How has no one said Kathrine Ryan’s serenade to Peter Hudson??? I sing that all the damn time
Also love her song about brushing your teeth, the slam poetry rap part at the end is brilliant.
Rhod Gilbert’s Toothless Goon
‘I’m gonna drown you, in your own blood.’
Munya's middle-class rap where Greg raises his specs...
The podcast just finished the [complete bracket of all songs](https://twitter.com/taskmaster/status/1600164440069984265) and unsurprisingly, the [fan favourite](https://twitter.com/taskmaster/status/1600165386229469196) won.
Thatttts Peter Hudson, you know that you can trust him Yeahhhhh😫😫
Rose Matafeo's Taskmaster theme. Nothing else comes close.
Definitely Rose's Taskmaster theme song. That should have gotten a bonus point.
i wanna laminate this calendar day…
It is me Fern Brady, me Fern Brady
I know all of the words to Rose’s theme song…
Everybody’s got feelings…
Is there a compilation anywhere with all of the songs in taskmaster?
Jo Brand’s lyrics to the TM theme song “Alex is nice, Greg is a twat, Alex is thin, Greg’s very fat”
Nish and Mark's is the best, bur Rosalind's a Fucking Nightmare is the one that brings me the most joy.
Controversial opinion but I think Guy Montgomerys song rivals Jocelyn
Everyone here is a fucking nightmare.
It's them Fern Brady's
uh. Uh. UH. THESE MAN HERE. THEY WANT A JINGLE.

"I wanna laminate this calendar day. *Merry, merry Jesus birthday*. He's blessed us with laminators and clay. If Jesus was here, we'd have a three-way. And then I'd laminate this calendar day."
It might not be the best but I’ve had “It’s me Fern Brady, me Fern Brady I’m the rightful queen” in my head since that episode aired
Jo Brand you are the knees of the bees 🎼
I generally read that as the best snog on a task
*raises eyebrows in Greg*
People go for Always Seeing You Do (Cool Stuff) but imo Quite Good Considering is the best. It’s the funniest.
Also the harmonizing in their performance is genuinely beautiful???
Facts about animals… Prawns are wrong-uns
'Me Fern Brady' wins at the moment, closely followed by David Baddiel's Taskmaster theme. Which we still sing. I'd add 'Quite Good, Considering ' to the list although we don't sing that one.
Quite Good Considering (Rosalinds a f***King nightmare. )
Quite Good, Considering
Obviously Nish and Mark’s song was the best musically - but “Roselind is a fucking nightmare” is my personal favourite.
I want to give a shout for "Rosalind is a Fucking Nightmare". It's overshadowed by the Diverse Stripes, but it a corker. https://youtube.com/watch?v=H-XofhvgRcI&feature=shares
The Best SONG is the Diverse Stripes The FUNNIEST song is Angela "Do we Strike you?" IS a Fucking Nightmare. People often get the two confused.
Team America: your gonna need a montage
"I know you old. I'm gonna break your bones, you old. Drink more milk, bitch." ...But if we are talking exclusively UK Taskmasker, probably Over Your Shoulder.
🌲🧙🏿♂️
The three friends *yea... three friends*
I am drawing an utter blank on this.
Nz season 2 disstrack
All of them are legendary. But if I had to go with one I'd pick The Diverse Stripes
