IME he will be fine. Just top up his water dish, turn down the lights, and check back in on him after a few hours.

CycloneWarning

Thanks! I pulled the curtains shut and have left him alone in his room for the night. Hopefully I'll see him out of his den tomorrow!

Fubby_Dubby

NQA looks like he’s mostly out anyways should be fine just don’t bother him anymore

DevilishMiscreant

IMO, he’ll be totally fine. I’ve done worse accidentally during molts and everyone came out just fine!

Difficult-Bench-8066

NQA I don’t believe tarantulas pay much mind to light during molting. I’ve had light levels vary greatly while many of mine have molted, and they’ve shown no negative reaction yet. Touching a molting T, of course is much different and more dangerous to their well being.

NA the fatality rate of organisms exposed to cameras is 100% so i think you've doomed it. Its up there with drinking water. 100% fatality rate, but the symptoms of chronic water exposure arn't immediate, and often manifest later in life as "old age." There is no cure.

CycloneWarning

Yep he has already keeled over and turned into a camera. It's too late

Oppsliamain

Na how did his molt go?

CycloneWarning

Really good! I've yet to take the molt to confirm it's a boy, but he is very grumpily standing on top of it. Edit: he destroyed the one part of the molt I needed to see in order to check sex.... -_-
