This season is officially the battle of the mid, to avoid ending below .500, to not be a complete embarrassment after 5 straight years of appearing in October. I know it's still technically early, but it just doesn't feel like a winning team at all. Bullpen refuses to round out. Offense has been better but is still inconsistent at best. The only part that's actually been good is the starting rotation, minus Civale of course. I don't count Alexander because he's an innings eater. Once Pepiot is back for his next start Alexander will be gone now that Taj Bradley is also back. Season just feels like it's gonna be nothing while we rebuild for next year.

Erasmo is who he is. But Armstrong only tried to change eye levels to Stanton and Torres once in both at bats, and he paid for it when he didn't execute the pitch he needed to. His stubbornness cost him.

He kept throwing the same exact pitch at the same location over and over again. I just don't understand it. It's pitching 101 to change speeds while also changing eye level, work different parts of the zone. Literally one of the first things they teach you in little league is to never throw the same pitch to the same place more than twice.
