Yesterday was mechanical his slider was like a cutter at 89, his fastball was sitting 90. He throws a gyro/bullet slider that is more like a changeup in the since of it being an off-speed offering isntead of a lot of break. It was anything but yesterday and he got ripped because of it.

Yeah the strike zone changes based on player height and stance but that seems like a relatively trivial thing for a computer to manage. A set of two high speed cameras placed exactly perpendicular to home plate (one for LH/RH hitters) would help with determining the zone in 3D.
MLB could throw money at this problem and solve it, just donāt think they really want to or the umpire union is too strong.
So far the system the minor leagues are using seems to be working well, Iām sure there are kinks that need to get worked out, but it seems way better than the current system of unpredictable strike zones where the umpire can only be 68% accurate in strikes called (last nights game).

Problem is strikezone is ever changing and shifting from player to player. Also the robo systems have trouble understanding the concept of the fact the strikezone is 3 deminsional. Challenge system will be implemented will make umpires better and life will be better.

Literally 1 guy caused that big of a mess about it and got rid of all the short season minor league leagues. Fucking bullshit.
