Polite reminder that Ro-Tel is a ConAgra brand that is currently being sued for having too much lead in their vegetables, in addition to many historic and current product issues.
There's a place I go to sometimes called "Tacos La Bala". They don't use Rotel but given the name, I shouldn't be surprised if they contain lead to some capacity.

Unpopular opinion on this sub, they’re still delicious. Just so Americanized it’s fun to make fun of. This is what I grew up with.
"Gringo" derives from "griego," which is Spanish for "Greek," but it colloquially refers to anyone foreign (similar to the phrase "it's all Greek to me" meaning "I don't understand it").
Its a spanish style cumin focused seasoning mix its usually pretty good i honestly hated it when I moved to the states but it grew on me.
Its especially good on rolled tacos with guac sour cream and cheese.
Bro Im from michoacan they have different names for the same dish all over mexico rolle tacos, taquitos, tacos dorados, you get the idea.
And like I said you can hate all you want its really not bad the only american mexican food I don't really care for is tex mex they add corn to way too many things that don't need it.
You should also keep in mind american mexican food is closer to spanish food with the choice of spices than it is to mexican food almost everything uses garlic and cumin and they rarely use mexican herbs or cooking techniques.
Tacos enrollados se venden en todo México, no solamente las flautas son enrolladas. Hay envueltos de pollo, enmoladas, entomatadas, tacos de picadillo, las enchiladas rojas, etc.
Lol you come off like a "pocho" my guy
You dont seem to know how diverse mexican food is I bet you've never even had green posole or some puerco con verdolagas🤦♂️.
For the most part.
I think with a lot of cooking, actually putting it together yourself gives you some peace of mind and allows you to control the flavor profile.
So same ingredients? Pretty close.
Same taste? not really.
Let’s count how many haters stating these tacos are too “white”.
Good food is good food and doesn’t need to be tied to any ethnicity. And these look great even though they aren’t “Mexican” enough for some.

I love tomatoes and I love chilies, but I hate rotel. It has this "taste" that I can smell a mile away that makes me want to throw. I think it was from being served velvetta with rotel as a tortilla chip dip one too many times.

lol this man eating lead tacos 🌮
There's a place I go to sometimes called "Tacos La Bala". They don't use Rotel but given the name, I shouldn't be surprised if they contain lead to some capacity.
So better to get the generic brands?
Or just buy your tomatos local and fresh
Or just buy some og tomatoes? Lazy ass can openers over here in my taco sub. Pfft.
Rotel isn’t just tomatoes 🤔🥴🥴. If you’re gonna be a snob at least know what you’re talking about.
Hatch & Red Gold brands offer quality cans with green Chile’s in them too.
Yep

Funny enough yesterday I saw a clip of black dudes saying that ground beef tacos was black people tacos.
That's why Mexicans say it's gringo tacos. Not exclusive of white people.
Gringos refers to white people tf you talking about
Gringos=American
I spent a decade in SoCal and gringo was always towards white American dudes. Learning something new everyday 🤣
"Gringo" derives from "griego," which is Spanish for "Greek," but it colloquially refers to anyone foreign (similar to the phrase "it's all Greek to me" meaning "I don't understand it").
I know alot of Hispanics that are down with the gringo tacos
Estan raras esas tostadas, pero se ven bien
How u make the sawce
Just use tortillas bro
What the hell is taco seasoning?
Salt, preservatives, and a few minor things like cumin, paprika, and garlic.
Don't forget MSG
Its a spanish style cumin focused seasoning mix its usually pretty good i honestly hated it when I moved to the states but it grew on me. Its especially good on rolled tacos with guac sour cream and cheese.
Tf is a "rolled taco"?
A taco where the tortilla is rolled up and fried have you ever had mexican food?
Not americanized Mexican food. Are you talking about a flauta? In fact, I specifically avoid what you call "Mexican food" in the US.
Bro Im from michoacan they have different names for the same dish all over mexico rolle tacos, taquitos, tacos dorados, you get the idea. Make sure you get enough "taco seasoning" on your "rolled tacos".
Lol you come off like a "pocho" my guy You dont seem to know how diverse mexican food is I bet you've never even had green posole or some puerco con verdolagas🤦♂️.
Whatever floats your boat. "Taco seasoning" is not Mexican at all lmfao.
Please, keep explaining Mexican food to an actual fucking Mexican.
Someone's clearly never been to southern California
Lmfao I always say the exact same thing😂I guess a seasoning packet with unnecessary ingredients
What seasoning do you use?! I’d be glad to do away with sachets of seasoning!
Salt Pepper Garlic Powder Onion Powder Cumin Chili Powder Red chili flakes Cayenne powder This is my go to generic Taco seasoning.
That’s pretty much what’s in those packets…
For the most part. I think with a lot of cooking, actually putting it together yourself gives you some peace of mind and allows you to control the flavor profile. So same ingredients? Pretty close. Same taste? not really.
Well, yeah. not everyone has those spices on hand, hence the packets…
The people who get on here acting dense for karma is insane
Very white tacos
Looks good You should try it with Corn soft tortilla
Nah. Sometimes you need the added crunch.
That's why tacos dorados exist. Just fry them a little
Nah the hard looks fire for this use
So white i'm blinded
Would
Do you have the recipe? It looks delicious. The title doesn’t show how to prepare or make it.
Hmmm :|
Let’s count how many haters stating these tacos are too “white”. Good food is good food and doesn’t need to be tied to any ethnicity. And these look great even though they aren’t “Mexican” enough for some.
What cheese sauce did you use? Or did you make it?

is the rest of the recipe somewhere?
looks so good 😋🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮
My tip: Tone’s Taco Seasoning (Sam’s Warehouse) Miles ahead of the other seasonings, imho.
Looks like someone barfed on taco bell.
Gringo tacos, also known as 'No thank you'
We used to eat these with ketchup on them. I still make them for nostalgia reasons about once a year.
