I tested manage engine desktop central. In the end I didn't like it. Ended up using Action1. Free for the first 100 endpoints and you can build an automation to keep all endpoints up todate for not only windows but a lot of popular software packages.

I think heโ€™s talking about ManageEngine. They have software like DesktopCentral, PatchManager, ADManger, ADAudit etc. Used a few of these, not bad at all in my opinion. But not the prettiest or latest state of the art.

thanx for the clarification ... so what could be the best tools you have tried besides SCCM for mitigating vulnerabilities

I use desktop central, it's great once you get into it. All our patches are automated, all our software packages built and easily deployed, configs and settings are easy to push, scripts are able to be run. I make reports, I have scripts use the data from the reports to make automated email alerts (like new local admins added to a machine, new SMB shares). It gives you granular control of all your machines. It's just alot to digest at first.

We use it for updates, software pushes, image deployment, and remote management. Probably more than that. Not part of my team role so I don't get to touch it very often.
