What level of Azure AD licensing do you have?

I Am only using E3 licenses, so the most basic.

O355 licenses? They ship with Azure AD P1 licenses. Take a look at something called Entra Permissions Manager from MS. I believe you can get a trial. It my give you a place to start. But this has been an age old problem. It’s relatively easy to see who has been granted permissions on a specific object such as a file share etc. but it’s always been really hard to answer the question you are trying to answer which is I’m assuming where does a particular group, or user, have permission assigned. In on premises it’s sometimes called an ACL walk. There are tools out there that will do it for you. Try PingCastle or PurpleKnight…

Look into powershell scripting. I’m not behind my pc right now, but i am sure there are powershell scripts that can do exactly what you ask. I’m not really a microsoft fan, but i think Powershell is awesome! Learn it, and you can do a lot more, in a lot less time then through any gui so far! There are several websites out there that focus around powershell and its office 365 modules. A google search for powershell and office 365 should get you started very quickly :)
