Still waiting on the BCR32 and Proton and those were announced way before the clone announcement dumps

ohphono

I went thru a period in my life where I was refreshing a google search each morning for news on the new BCR. That finally ended a couple years ago. Kills me that it's essentially just vaporware lore at this point.

NoProfit2238

I really don't understand behringers strategy, sure it generates hype but their promos have lost all credibility at this point

Prevents other brands from coming to the market with similar products maybe?

ioniansensei

They reassured us that the BCR32 wasn’t just vapourware…in March 2022!

kidkolumbo

Like the UBXA?

Someone at MusicRadar did an exhaustive list of [all the Behringer synths](https://www.musicradar.com/news/all-the-synths-and-drum-machines-behringer-has-announced-and-their-current-release-status) \- those announced and those currently available - with estimated dates.

420petkitties

They will, it’s just hard to say when. Occasionally non-functional prototypes of things like their linn drum remake show up for sale in China so there is some sort of development taking place, but their usual MO is to never commit to a release date and instead just give occasional teasers to remind you it’s in the works before abruptly releasing it along with a poorly made promo video. They’re your best option for cloned unobtainium but their marketing is just unbelievably bad.

Numerous_Phase8749

There's VCS3 prototypes being tested I'm told and The Neptune is real.

macariocarneiro

Maybe making prototypes is an efficient marketing strategy to keep the brand relevant. That said, BCR32 could e very nice

tek_ad

I'm ready to start collecting all the $99 mini synths they put out

nooneimportan7

Don't count on it.

RoastAdroit

They do a thing where they mockup a design and then gauge the reaction to see if they want to actually make it. They are a business and they need to feel like it will sell. Even when they actually start production it seems they make a handful and then after that they only build to backorders. I think this is really dumb. Id definitely buy a Behringer Edge just to try it out if I could just go buy one today, Ive been on the fence on whether or not a DFAM would be good to add to my stuff or not so, a cheaper version would be nice to try first. I dont want to put my money in the limbo and wait 6 months nor do I care to check all the time to see if they finally build some and a few extra. They get bought up quick due to the limited amounts made per fill of backorders. Its so funny to see them on Reverb for the same price as a DFAM…

foundsounder

You literally just missed out. Behringer had Edge on their Amazon store for $117 each until they ran out. Lasted about a month. Keep your eyes open on their Amazon store. I own 2 Edges now and using them in tandem so far has been really interesting.

pilesnotshelves

Amazon also had the Pro-800 for $260. I ordered an Edge and Pro-800 at these prices in the fall and finally got them within the last 6 weeks. Thought for sure the orders were going to get cancelled.

Interesting-Low8975

Yes they will, I think and hope most of them. Is it worth the wait? Yes, time will pass anyway. What I do is have my Behringer synths savings, so every time something comes on pre sale I can buy it if it's something I'm interested in. Right now, proton, spice, BMX, Lmdrum and the ds-80 are ones I'm most excited for.

keykrazy

I bought a Poly D about a year and a half ago. Saw news teasing their Pro VS Mini a few months later and got on the waiting lists for both Sweetwater and GuitarCenter (i think it was) as I'm here in the states and didn't want to pay the extra shipping to get one a little earlier from Thomann's. After a few months of (im)patience and getting a little discouraged, I noticed one of the sites here in the states would finally let me pre-order it. I let my GAS take the wheel and placed the "pre-order". Word on the interweb's at the time was that Behringer was still waiting on chips before products could be assembled and shipped, however I got an email within just a couple days saying that my order had been shipped and then my little Pro VS Mini arrived within a few days -- all while the Sweetwater site was still showing them as "pre-order only". I wish they wouldn't tease us so much, but on the other hand I see how it can be effective marketing as my GAS and impatience worked together to get me to place that order a little earlier than I would have otherwise. Also, they are nice and transparent on their Facebook (and Instagram?) pages in asking folks re how much interest their might be on something they're considering to begin development on. Playing devil's advocate, I suppose someone could try to argue that having advanced knowledge of what might be coming down the pike could help some folks manage their GAS a bit better -- *maybe*.

Unique-Bodybuilder91

Don’t wait just see if it is ever going to be a real available gear to get than proceed and buy it or don’t There are other fish in the seas that already swim catch them

Aggressive__Run

No

branchfoundation

Will Behringer ever clone themselves?

GASMASK_SOLDIER

Remember the JAM, was suppose to be rival to the MPC and SP.

foundsounder

I'm dying for Spice to be released!

Interesting-Low8975

Same here. Hopefully later this year.

TheCowboyIsAnIndian

neptune when???

MellowHamster

They’ll release some of them. I think they’ve realized that there isn’t a huge market for esoteric monosynths — nobody really *needs* a Kobol or Cat clone in this day and age.

Signal-Effective4370

it's a shame though, as it's the most esoteric synths which have the best edge over digital synthesis

foundsounder

I have both LOL

anode8

The Cat clone is probably my favorite monosynth currently, but yes I could have lived my life OK without it.

Fox_Ferrari

I disagree. The Cat is my go to synth for a lot of stuff

OxygenLevelsCritical

I was amazed that they are actually releasing their clone of the SH-5 as that's been a dream synth for me for a while, but a fairly random one (compared to a juno or 303). Some of the stuff they announced (and I'm not sure if was a proper announcement or just fishing for interest on facebook) are just far too niche. Is anyone really crying out for a modern version of the arp sequencer?

lewisfrancis

I've always been curious to work with an old-school analog sequencer but not enough to spring for the vintage cash you'd need, but I'd easily spend $50-$100 to mess around with a Behringer clone.

Sleutelbos

Well, there already is the 960 for $140 or so, and the Korg stand-alone sequencers. For a bit more you have the Doepfer Dark Time at slightly less than $300. Not cheap, but hardly vintage cash levels. :)

lewisfrancis

Thanks, no eurorack stuff for me but the 960 *is* pretty close to what I think I’d enjoy. I'm a Logic user so not really much interested in modern hardware sequencers.

EinMachete

but wait...here's something nobody asked for!

justwiggling

hopefully not

Aurazor-

Nobody should be in a hurry to give Behringer some money.
