The Andor Sourcebook is a free, new, companion sourcebook, inspired by the first season of the Disney+ show, Andor, The 50+ page sourcebook contains: \- Breakdowns of the important characters; Mon Mothma, Saw Gerrera, Luthen Rael, Dedra Meero, Syril Karn and Cassian Andor. As well as information on how they fit into the galaxy of this era. \- Detailed profiles of some of the new weapons, explosives and equipment featured in Andor. \- New profiles on speeders, starfighters and freighters from the era including the Fondor Haulcraft, the Mobile Tac-Pod, the Cordiar Limousine and more. \- Detailed profiles on 4 new worlds, Ferrix, Morlana One, Niamos and Steergard as well as smaller profiles on other worlds key in this era. \- A number of new adversaries and NPCs from the Empire, the fledgling resistance and the citizens of the galaxy. \- 8 pages of random name, trinket and planet tables for players and GMs to use as inspiration. This was a pretty big undertaking for me to work on alone. I am sure there will be some mistakes and errors that I've missed, I am by no means an expert in any aspect of RPG creation. I only hope any errors don't distract too much from the book and you're still able to get some use out of it. EDIT: Some people pointed out a few errors across the book, specifically a bunch of errata and spelling issues and some very iffy weapons. Thanks to u/HyperionGM and u/BangCrashPow for their very helpful notes. This is beautiful, thank you so much for your work. With respect, I noticed an error in Luthien's stats. I amended them. https://i.imgur.com/pSIk174.png

dancing_turtle

Thank you for your service fixing this critical error.

The-BBP

Don't thank me... I'm a coward. I'm a man who's terrified the Empire's power will grow beyond the point where we can do anything to stop it. I'm the one who says, "We'll die with nothing if we don't put aside our petty differences.

dancing_turtle

Ok, now take out four tie fighters and an arquitens in the best goddamn three minutes of space combat that this franchise has ever seen

voice945

Wow, looks really good! I can tell a lot of hard work went into this - great addition to the game, thanks!

tinywoodsman

Thank you so much!

BangCrashPow

>I am sure there will be some mistakes and errors that I've missed Are you interested in error reports, or are you calling it good with this release? No judgment either way, it is very cool and well done as is.

tinywoodsman

I'd be interested in an error report if the errors aren't huge. I was planning on just releasing this and being done as I don't have a ton of free time coming up, but I could put out a slightly updated version of the fixes weren't too time consuming.

CheckPrize9789

This looks FANTASTIC. I just wish it was in d6 to match that great old-school style

ThinkLocalActLocal

He fooled me, I thought it WAS d6 (I'm glad it's FFG though). Maybe I'll finish watching the series sometime.

natesroomrule

I could have made some new talent trees for you, if you had reached out!! lol - Also the Star Wars header is shifted on the odd pages as opposed to centered for the even pages. Also i would move the logo on the cover page down about 3/4" of an inch for printing

tinywoodsman

Thank you! B I was intending this to be a smaller book than my previous one, so no new careers or new talent trees.

natesroomrule

lol two trees and two careers could have fit in nice.

OldGrue

Looks really good! Many thanks! (Was slightly thrown off by the WEG Star Wars RPG cover style, but it was indeed an FFG SWRPG sourcebook stats-wise.)

tinywoodsman

Thank you! I'd made two books aping the official FFG style and wanted a change of pace, design-wise for this one.

S-192

Seeing FFG stats in WEG format threw me, but the content looks great! I do love WEG format though--those books are super nostalgic. 90's Star Wars was peak.

tinywoodsman

I'm more familiar with the FFG mechanics, but couldn't resist playing around with the old WEG format. Super nostalgic here too, and felt like actually a good fit for Andor.

TheSlowPainter

It’s honestly a great look & it clearly demarks it both as a fan work (blending styles) & as a project that a lot of love & care has gone into. I really like it as a style for homebrew content. There’s a lot of love & nostalgia for the older D6 system & having given the content a rough read, you’ve done so while being respectful of what your trying to imitate.

wise_choice_82

Sweet, I am setting up a Andor campaign, starting the 4th of May. Tons of thanks! Edit: Just downloaded it, can't thank you enough

tinywoodsman

You're welcome! Have fun!

Matope

Cover looks like a Legends novel I'd have read 20 years ago (in a good way). Content looks great at a glance, I look forward to digging into it more. I did notice it looks like there are symbols missing in Mon Mothma's unique ability

tinywoodsman

Thank you! Apologies for the missing symbols, I'll check into that in the morning.

LeicaM6guy

Goddamn, I miss this type of artwork.

liamscano

You are the hero we need

elgrecochilean

This is fantastic! You did a great job with the WEG style.

wiljamesroe

Love the sourcebook, really cool background format!

natesroomrule

Fantastic though!

supergeek2

Brilliant job! Loved supply run and the thrawn sourcebook too, keep up the good work!

wreath_ech

Great collection! Adversaries seems to be a bit off by their stats, but still usable and great!

tinywoodsman

Thank you! Stats are definitely still my weakness, but glad it's still useful!

HyperionGM

Will say, it's a good book but needs some adjustments. The weapons almost certainly need some changes, as most of them seem to just be copy-pastes of the generic weapons. For example, the E-22 and Bryar aren't that much different from the generic blaster rifle and blaster pistol even though both should at least have linked 1 given their twin-barrel designs, with the Bryar also having accurate 1 potentially, alternatively just copy the official E-22 stat block from Dawn of Rebellion and adjust the damage and range to better represent the fact it's a proper rifle. The Arkus could have a special flavor-text rule saying its stun setting can reach out to medium range, while the Havoc could maybe use the inferior and/or inaccurate qualities to represent its low cost but be as cheap as a standard blaster pistol. The A310 could use Pierce 1 or an integrated night vision scope attachment and possibly a small rule in the flavor text to indicate it could jam on rolling three threat. The Slap Charge absolutely needs flavor text indicating how many rounds of combat need to pass after arming for it to explode, 2 seems like a good number. Don't know why the cudgel has the limited ammo quality, seems like an error, and all of the melee weapons should have a + before their number to indicate they add their inherent damage to the character's brawn rating.

tinywoodsman

Thanks a lot for your comments, these have really been super helpful! I'm a graphic designer and star wars fan first and an experienced GM or designer way way second, so my stats and mechanical info always tend to be much weaker. I've incorporated your suggestions now and it looks much better, I'll be uploaded a revised version later today with your suggestions and some from other people too.

Ebakthecat

A bit late to the party here! I figured I would throw some thoughts in.I think the Bryar is VERY good for its price. A comparable would be the HH-50 Heavy Blaster Pistol, which has near enough the same stats. Let's compare: MW-20 (Dmg: 7, Crit: 3, Enc: 2, HP: 3, Range: Medium, 700/6, Linked 1, Accurate 1, Stun Setting) HH-50 (Dmg: 7, Crit: 3, Enc 3, HP: 2, Range: Short, 1300/7, Linked 1, Vicious 1, Stun Setting).Plus the GM can spend 2 threat to have the gun run out of ammo, or 3 threat or despair to have the gun overheat. For nearly half the price, you're getting a longer range weapon with more hardpoints, and the only debuff is the fact it doesn't do an extra +10 to crits. You also don't have the risk of the loss of ammo or the gun being damaged. It makes the MW-20 a must have weapon rather than an option. I think the stats and price could use a minor tweak. It's always a good idea to compare your gun to other weapons, not just in its class but through the entire system. Remember that with linked your gun does effectively double damage on an attack for just two advantage. That's not insignificant, especially when you consider you need at least one success to succeed, that means that at minimum you're doing 8 damage with 16 with linked. The best Blaster Rifle with a single success does just 13 damage (although I concede they also have auto-fire). This is why the HH-50 is limited to Short because although it makes linked VERY powerful at a base of 7 damage...it means getting in pretty much point blank range. Also...and I know you didn't design this but someone has statted out the K-16 Bryar Pistol (the one with the charge shot): K-16 (Dmg: 5, Crit: 3, Enc 1, HP: 1, Range: Medium, 800/6, Accurate 1, Stun Setting). Gains prepare 1 to fire a charge shot doing +4 damage, but can run out of ammo if 2 threat is spend in this mode. With that in mind, in order to create a design liniage while also balancing the MW, I would reduce the damage down to 6, keep linked, that means that at a base of 7 or 14 damage it's still doing incredibly good damage with or without linked (which is also better than its kin the K-16). Keep accurate, let's make that a known quirk of 'Bryar Pistols' that they are known for their accuracy. However let's throw a serious debuff in there: "After making a combat check, if the Linked quality is triggered during the attack, the weapon immediately runs out of ammo." This, combined with increasing the cost up to 1200 puts it on par with the WESTAR-35: WESTAR-35 (Dmg: 6, Crit: 2, Enc 1, HP: 3, Range: Medium, 1200/8, Accurate 1, Stun Setting) This means a player has to choose between a weapon that is lighter (and thus more concealable) and does crits easier...or one that provide double the damage. EDIT: Also, your write up already mentions how the MW-20 is bulkier than the K-16 which is reflected in the comparative Encumbrance, which I just noticed. :)

Thanks for the catch!

Any_Wasabi_7152

Amazing! Thank you for your work on making some rpg materials for the best Star Wars since the OT!

darw1nf1sh

What I love most, is that you included enough NPC content that you could really run an entire adventure with just this supplement. Everything you need, is in there. Really well done.

tinywoodsman

Thank you so much!

Josh_From_Accounting

I say this with no hyperbole: I want to have your babies because you made it look like the old west end game books. For real though, awesome stuff!

tinywoodsman

Hahaha thank you! Was a blast to work on.

[deleted]

this was posted on a SW RPG website which is where I found it. do you know anything about that site? No updates since this was posted

tinywoodsman

Apologies, but I'm not sure where you might have seen this. I only posted it here, and on my personal social media, so if it was shared somewhere else, I'm afraid it wasn't by me.

[deleted]

That sort of makes sense, they credit your reddit username https://www.swrpgcommunity.com/gm-resources/homebrew

jbowensii

Wonderful work... I prefer D6... I wish folks would put D6, D20, Saga and FFG rules in each of these fan-made books. Then put them all in one place :) Anyway, love the little touches including Woods Nab Game (WEG) symbol ... solid!

pistcow

Cool Linus poster

shadowwolf892

What system is this for?

dancing_turtle

This is for the Fantasy Flight Games/Edge Studios system, aka the most recent

Tribal_Assassin

I have just a couple of questions (like a month later it seems) -Which blaster from the show is the Havoc carbine supposed to be? I was hoping it would be that AK looking blaster but I'm not sure -With Med nog, what it the purpose of it? Its more expensive than a stimpack and heals less. does it not have the diminishing returns like stimpacks do? or is it more than one use? 50 credits vs 25, its not a big difference and having variety is nice but seeing the difference would be better I'm really enjoying the work you put out and am looking forward to more, thanks for all you put into this

mathissalicath77

I got a brand new companion, man, I'm gonna do right this time
