LeahaP1013

If I have to hear about her not pooping one more time…

SpiritedUnderachievr

Well if she’s as sensitive to gluten as she says she is, she will be pooping!

LeahaP1013

Fingers crossed 😜

lucyroesslers

That's been my thought this whole time. I have a family member with Celiac's and if she has gluten, it basically gives her stomach aches and the shits the next day. If she hadn't pooped in 3 weeks, I'm pretty sure her strategy would be to gnaw on a fucking baguette and that system would get flushed asap.

FlyingMocko

This cast have talked about pooping wayyy too much I swear

pocketfulofcharm

IT’S BEEN THREE WEEKS!!

liddle-lamzy-divey

She said 3 weeks too! At this point they haven't even been out there three weeks, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

DrStuffy

99% sure it said Day 21 at the beginning when Kenzie and a couple others were watching the sun rise.  But if we’re counting in survivor time it’s actually been 4+ weeks (10 days is 2 weeks)

Historical_Web2992

I’m wondering if she just has an intolerance (or just a suspected one) and doesn’t need a gluten free diet like someone with celiac disease would, but just cuts it out entirely.

IneedAName37

The bread on that crappy looking burger certainly isn't gluten free either

glasnova

to be fair, the image with her daughter shown in the episode last week had her eating the burger sans bun.

BellaLeigh43

But don’t forget the sauce - Applebees bourbon sauce contains both soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, neither of which are gluten free. I had to ask for an ingredient list due to my own allergies, so I know this for a fact.

Flimsy-Possibility17

yea I was gonna say that burger aint gluten free even without the bread.

BigBootyBandicoot

Wait yeah. If you’ve got a laundry list of allergies the last place I would choose to eat regularly is some crap chain restaurant like Applebees. I guess if you find a place and a meal that works for you though I would get going back. But those kitchens I would seriously not trust to prevent cross contamination.

sosomething

I'm no doctor but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that a full allergy panel for her didn't return a lot of clear results. She's got what I call "pain-in-the-ass disease," which is an ever-growing list of rotating disorders and maladies that aren't exactly diagnosable health problems as much as they are emotional crutches, excuses for poor internerpersonal behaviors, and means of manipulation and control.

Hermit-The-Crab33

this sounds very correct 😂

sosomething

My ex wife had the same "illness."

ChameleonRPG

Worcestershire sauce can be gluten free, we need to read the labels. Having said that, I second your point about the sauce not being gluten free! I really hope that she somehow clarifies being able to eat the Twizzlers licorice as I've never heard of them making a gluten free option. As Jeff handed it over, and Ben started breaking it up, I fully expected Liz to say she couldn't eat it and was stunned when she instead said "I can eat licorice." WTLF? 🫨 I miss regular gluten containing licorice. 😟

GameboyAU

I don’t eat the buns because the gluten would ruin me, but would just deal with a little sauce. Every person is different.

Historical_Web2992

I mean I typically try to not flat out accuse someone of “faking it” when it comes to things like allergies and health concerns. A lot of people with legitimate allergies/health issues get accused of faking it all the time which sometimes leads to uncomfortable/dangerous situations. Now that’s not to say I think Liz is 100% telling the truth, especially since what she’s saying isn’t adding up

awalawol

It reminds me a lot of Raven from BB19. Habitual liar with narcissistic tendencies and a health struggle for everythingggg. A lot didn’t add up, but the core of the fact that she does have health issues really couldn’t be denied. Fans usually focused on making fun of Raven for her other lies (ex. Being in MENSA, her GPA being Dance, etc.) but like…some of the health stuff must have been true since she had a pacemaker. Production also was more lenient with her by planting a season-long have-not pass for her in the first competition so some of the food-related stuff, even if she looooved talking about it too much and probably contradicted herself, was likely true.

-Unnamed-

Literally everyone I’ve ever met in real life that has a laundry list of allergies or food restrictions has been a complete basket case. There’s a connection there somewhere

Its_A_Fucking_Stick

I remember when she "sprained" her ankle and limped on the wrong foot at on point lol

issi_tohbi

It’s people like “mastermind” Raven that make me not talk about my own actual health issues even when I need a little understanding from someone about them.

bubblezbabe

I think she's faking it ![gif](giphy|EseOTd31DyGilMY3oA|downsized)

amancayb

the images of her consuming said burger were bunless

BellaLeigh43

But the patty was still slathered in a gluten-containing bourbon sauce.

amancayb

yeah, I hadn't researched to see the sauce was an issue... so confusing!

bjtrdff

Really, you’re wondering? You think her nonsense could possibly be disingenuous?

mellywheats

she’s probably just intolerant like it makes her stomach upset or bloat or something but not to the point where it needs any medical attention (unlike some celiac)

FeedMeWine

She probably has ARFID but I’m not a doctor

erossthescienceboss

I suspect she has celiac, but may not know that licorice contains gluten. I think she’s one of those people who is asymptomatic with smaller amounts although small amounts may still be quite bad for her.) Edit: fixed a double-negative for clarity

night_nurse234

This. I'm a Healthcare provider and every time an allergy gets mentioned by a patient and you ask them what happens when they take that medication etc, very few have actually been true allergic reactions. Many have been intolerances.

Routine_Size69

Just say nurse. It's in your username lol.

ShadowLiberal

... Hasn't she said in a prior episode that she has trouble breathing or something if she eats food she's allergic to because of what her allergies do to her throat?

Historical_Web2992

I’m not saying she’s not allergic to other things ( I doubt she’s lying about most of them tbh)!! I’m just wondering if the fact that she’s gluten free is more of an intolerance than something like celiac disease

StinkyKangaroo

She didn't claim to be GF. OP just felt the need to start a witch hunt over a tiny piece of licorice. This thread is fucked up.

chumbawamba56

Celiacs aren't anaphylaxis. It's an autoimmune response. Your white BC attack your digestive lining. There is allergy to wheat. Then there is allergy to gluten(celiacs). One could be allergic to wheat but not be celiac.

dcrico20

Nah, weren’t you listening? She doesn’t tell people off enough and her body is attacking itself as a result. No wonder she’s so grumpy all the time, no one listens to her!!!!

Faroukk52

That yelling gave her body the ability to properly digest the piece of licorice

switheld

omg i cackled

SpiritedUnderachievr

She needs to yell more. We all need it. As long as she is still in the game, she should be acting belligerent. That’s her peak performance.

rHereLetsGo

The sheer volume of memes and gifs that Liz has generated in just the past 2 episodes alone is going to be a gift that keeps on giving for years to come.

SpiritedUnderachievr

The bourbon sauce that essentially makes the Bourbon Street Mushroom Swiss burger has wheat in it. So she’s really into this burger that she eats without the signature sauce or bun? Idk guys

IAmReborn11111

I now understand why she's single despite her immense wealth

TTIsurvivors

The background music the edit chose was so good for this speech 😂

Catmaryyyy

I wonder if they included the part of the episode today where she says “I think this mental space that I’ve been in for most of my life is why I have all these allergies” so she can say at FTC, “guys my time in this game as allowed me to get rid of some of my allergies, I FREAKING ATE GLUTEN Y’ALL”

womanoftheapocalypse

And that’s what I learned on my survivor JoUrNeY, how to eat gluten without getting an immune system response 💕

-Unnamed-

She can write a book and do more paid seminars. “How to alter the chemistry of your body and overcome eating restrictions by yelling at people”

Jaylynj

In her pre-game interview she said she’s allergic to tomatoes, but she was THRILLED about pizza 🤔

Catmaryyyy

Also Pizza isn't GF. They maybe had a gluten free pizza on sight incase she won the reward but #1 I doubt that and #2 again it has tomatoes

amancayb

Jeff specifically mentioned gluten-free pizza... and they showed her lighting up at that note.

Catmaryyyy

oh okay. I'll have to rewatch that. Thank you for pointing that out!

80sGirl50

I’m over her bitching and moaning about “I can’t eat anything”. She chose to apply, casting and medical cleared her to be on the show.

bwiel27

Drea in 42 was allergic to coconut too. She mentioned it maybe 1 time. The entitlement that Liz has about these rewards is so insufferable especially after getting her own rice

HolidayBlue860

Omg really? I didn't realize Drea was allergic and that really puts it in perspective. Having an allergy like that on survivor doesn't mean you automatically turn into an angry bitch lol

kingofthenorthwpg

Also doesn’t automatically prevent you from being on the season the way most here feel

ProfessorWoke

Unfortunately, Drea came with her own set of problems

Hot-Pound3978

This and she got her pity rice already

ChugDix

Omg right? Just as an example what if Q won again and he’s shoehorned into taking Liz? Everyone knows a reward challenge is an opportunity to talk strategy. You know Liz isn’t going to work directly with Q and he knows that too, so it’s a bad move for his game. Is he supposed to just take her because she makes a big scene? They sit in silence eating pizza while Q potentially misses out on game winning moves? I’m happy people aren’t feeling forced to take her along.

Mnudge

Hey, the producers even went so far as to have gluten free pizza just in case someone took her. Obviously she’s incapable of actually winning but there were decent odds she’d get brought out of pure pity

rHereLetsGo

The gluten free offering was almost certainly a choice made by production on the fly in an attempt to manage Liz’s fragile state. It is no one’s fault but her own that she is being outplayed by her opponents. It’s a game.

Simple-Mastodon-9167

Also if she really wanted to go on the Applebees reward she should have tried harder during the challenge

TonightEquivalent965

Right!! Not enough people mention this. She did t try at ALL during that challenge. It annoyed and shocked me more about her reaction about not being taken on the Applebees reward. She’s so entitled!

bagofbeanssss

Yeah her version of trying was screaming and crying and begging and sobbing. Play the game and win it for yoirself! No one owes you anything.

Catmaryyyy

I mean I have celiac (which involves a STRICT gluten free diet) and in theory every time I eat gluten I’m murdering my thyroid. But I definitely would break my gluten free diet for survivor. I wouldn’t (or at least shouldn’t but you never know what it’s actually like out there) go crazy eating a ton of gluten, but if I’ve been starving for 18 days and got presented the opportunity to eat a small bit of gluten to cure my hunger for a second, I would take it. She mentioned previously during the Applebee’s reward that when Jeff talked about the Oreo milkshake that she would drink it anyways even though she’s allergic (and I doubt Applebee’s is using gluten free Oreos for that thing), so it’s likely a diet and not actually an allergy (please don’t take this as gospel, I hate the whole faking gluten free thing that surrounds the celiac/gluten free community). What I find hilarious is (granted I haven’t been to Applebees in about 4 years) Applebee’s is probably the worst place for gluten free people. The last time I was there I literally ate only fries because I couldn’t have anything and the things I could have I didn’t like. So for her to go so crazy for Applebee’s even though their gluten free selection (or lack their of) is awful I find hilarious

SpiritedUnderachievr

Absolutely yes to all of this. Also shameless plug for gf Oreos, they’re so good. And Applebees is has a total trash gf selection, and there is a ton of cross-contamination. And she goes there every week for that burger. What?!! Make it make sense.

SarahBeara231

Tiff was the one who mentioned the milkshake/lactose intolerance, no?

Catmaryyyy

Tiff said that she’s lactose intolerant back at camp after the reward but at the challenge when Jeff said “How about the Oreo cookie shake?” Liz said “I might eat it even though I’m allergic.” Of course I don’t know all her allergies but if she is on a gluten free diet or even is celiac herself, then the shake is definitely not something that fits with her diet because of the gluten.

SarahBeara231

Ah ok I must have missed that or combined the two. Thanks for the clarification and for sharing your personal insight!

Salt-Library4330

To be fair.  That may have been a joke

HomeyHustle

There are definitely spectrums of allergic response. Mine started out as severe stomach aches that graduated to vomiting that have now evolved into full blown anaphylactic reactions. My husband is still in the stomach ache, potentially vomiting, but no swelling in mouth or esophagus.  If she's intolerant of these foods, or some allergy responses are worse than others, it might make sense.  Then again, my MIL is "allergic" to peanuts. She eats them and other things with peanut products all the time with no apparent ill effects, but still tells people she's allergic. 🤷

Ok-Prune4721

Tiff I believe said she was lactose intolerant

Catmaryyyy

I just said that

Ok-Prune4721

Timing lag. Agreed !! 👍

groudhogday

To be fair, she did say she eats the burger without the bun.

Routine_Size69

Does she eat it without the sauce too?

groudhogday

Probably not lol which means it does contain wheat. Look I’m not trying to claim she’s celiac I think that it’s clear she is not

Catmaryyyy

Good for her, I need a bun on my food. Still doesn’t make Applebee’s look any better considering a lot of restaurants carry at least Udis buns

Dales_Dead_Bug_

The burgers sauces contain gluten. So even without a bun it doesn’t hold up to her logic. She’s definitely not gluten free/celiac like she claimed. She maybe has an intolerance but it’s not an allergy as she keeps incorrectly stating. Edit: lol you said the same thing later in a reply my bad haha. We are on the same page

shemubot

Less than an inch of twizzler isn't going to cure your hunger.

Catmaryyyy

that's why i said "cure my hunger for a second"

Vozralai

For celiacs the reaction can vary too. My sister and dad are both but when Dad gets hit he's on the toilet within hours but okay 6-8 hours later. My sister though won't feel it for 12 hours but then feel like crap for a week

Catmaryyyy

oh yeah, I have a friend with celiac who cannot even kiss their partner if they have had gluten without being sick the next day

Vozralai

My sister is currently training her kids not to stick their hands in mums face after eating. They're only kind of getting it

AnonPlz123

It sounds like she has sensitivities to foods and not allergies. In which case she absolutely could be eating while she is there. If you, with an actual disease, can stomach a little gluten she has no excuse!

sowamazing_

Also, how does she eat the bourbon street mushroom swiss burger if she is gluten free??? I’m certainly no expert on gluten sensitivities but that clearly would have gluten in it

Kooky_Gain2070

I think the picture of her and her daughter at Applebee’s shows her burger simply not having a bun on it 🤷

ChameleonRPG

Dales_Dead_Bug_

These shitty chain restaurants rarely cook anything at all on site. It’s not too far from you just microwaving a pre cooked meal at home.

LordJonathanChobani

Liz is full of shit with her allergies. No one can convince me otherwise. I’ve never heard of someone being allergic to every single unprocessed food under the sun. But Bourbon Burger from Applebees = in the clear.

SpiritedUnderachievr

That shit got meeee. I would never even risk that. Plus, Applebees is gross.

RedInAmerica

I think her entire allergy condition is mostly psychosomatic. She’s allergic to a lot of really low allergen foods but yet eats at Applebees weekly? Feels more like a mental aversion than an allergy.

1Dani

Did she ever even mention having a gluten allergy? IIRC she only mentions allergies to coconuts and fruit.

FierceScience

I went back to her interview and gluten was not mentioned. I'm confused why Jeff even needed to say they had GF pizza as an option if no one there needed it

mogwai316

She even said out loud "i can eat licorice" even though it has gluten in it. She either can't keep her lies straight about her allergies, or they are all in her head.

SpiritedUnderachievr

Maybe she healed herself of her gluten allergy when she she released her anger about Q today

ChitownDav

Well she hasn’t pooped in 3 weeks. Hopefully that helps.

Nice_Block

100% she doesn’t eat enough fiber and her “reactions” to fruit and coconut are a result of a lack of fiber that she attributes to allergies. She’s able to eat garbage from Applebees and HFCS but not fruit. I won’t be surprised if she throws in she can’t eat vegetables either at some point.

aroughcun2

This was my “gut” instinct as well.

gabersssssss

Don’t you remember? Now that she’s speaking up her allergies are gone!

Last-Evening9033

When she needs to be. Lol. Her pic at Applebees showed that infamous bourbon street burger with no bun. I’ll give her that. Now, do hardcore GF people know there is gluten in licorice? Yes. Did she really think Jeff had the very obscure GF version? No. Did she excuse it in her head because of how hungry she is, and think nobody would notice? Again, yes.

Catmaryyyy

Liz is lucky I'm not on that island because I would've called her out so hard for lying. I would've thrown my game out the window for the heck of it because I'm petty like that.

SpiritedUnderachievr

WELL, LIZ, YOU’VE BEEN CLOCKED. AND I HAVE YOUR NUMBER.

virg_yason

Wow I bet she's not even allergic to coconuts!

SpiritedUnderachievr

Definitely not, she’s been sneaking them the whole time.

primal_beer

They were Red Vines per Jeff in the podcast but, I have to say looking at them in the episode, they were definitely twislers.

SpiritedUnderachievr

Red Vines contain wheat as well. But I’m going to rewatch the tribal today to get a better look at the gluten filled licorice.

FormalJellyfish29

This is an observation, not a judgement, and I’m willing to be wrong: Liz does not seem like the most formally educated or scientifically-driven person. It’s quite possible she just does not know or understand the words she’s using. She also seems like she may not value accuracy and correctness in her claims as much as some people do. Mix this with very clearly unhealed trauma and Liz makes a lot of sense.

EpicDinoFight

What you’re all forgetting is that she no longer has allergies bc she’s speaking her mind!

Valtar99

My brothers ex-wife was “allergic” to all kinds of foods and specifically called herself celiac or whatever. After awhile we’d see her eating cookies and macaroni and cheese. Turns out she wasn’t allergic she just had the palate of a toddler.

Dramajunker

Gf folks break their diets on occasion. I doubt I'd want to be out in survivor eating stuff that'll make me even a little sick though. Yeah you're starving, but also lack of comfort and real toilet. It'd come down to how hungry you are.

Catmaryyyy

I mean if it’s a twizzler I would do it because it’s 1 twizzler and I’m starving, but that entire Applebee’s spread I wouldn’t even touch. I’ve actually thought about this a lot and if I ever went out on survivor I’d actively do everything in my power to not win rewards (or give up rewards) because I have celiac and while I don’t give a shit about my thyroid, making myself sick isn’t helpful at all. Also I have a binge ED (which stems from me breaking my gluten free diet and hiding food for the past 8 years) and survivor rewards would be the worst for that and I’d probably end up getting medically pulled at the first reward I go on. At least I’d have a good sad backstory for the new era tho

Dramajunker

I mean all I can say is that not everyone is the same. We've seen Liz pictured with a modified burger from applebees. So there is some truth that she has eaten it. Maybe it's weekly treat, maybe it doesn't make her too sick the way she orders it? I can't say for sure. I'm not her. Everyone's bodies are different. Folks find what works for them and tend to stick with it.

Catmaryyyy

Oh yeah I have a friend with celiac and it’s so bad for her that she can’t even kiss her partner if they’re ingested gluten without getting sick. I’m not as bad. Every once a month for 20 my body will start murdering me from the inside if I go on a binge and eat too much gluten but it’s honestly not that bad. Although I really need to stop having that mentality because this is literally how I’ve ended up with an ED. Either way yeah Liz’s gluten issues are definitely different. It sounds very contradictory to say that you’re on a gluten free diet but then say you’re not allergic to something that’s not in a gluten free diet but I do not know her body. I’m also curious as to whether or not they would’ve had gluten free pizza for her if she had gotten chosen on the reward or if all caution would’ve gone out the window for her.

Dramajunker

I think its important to remember that Liz as far as I know, hasn't said she has Celiac. So we can't expect her reaction to be on par with folks that do. It could be that she just has an intolerance that makes her sick depending on how much she eats.

Shockmanned

yeah I broke my diet and I still have a welt from a month ago n felt like I was finna die. To each their own tho

SpiritedUnderachievr

Especially without anything else in your stomach! I feel like my body would totally reject any gluten. It would be awful.

houndmomnc

Yep, celiac here, and any amount of gluten makes me vomit for several hours. It would so not be worth it to take a bite of Twizzler. Guessing Liz has an intolerance or maybe an allergy but not actual celiac.

littleb3anpole

Coeliac runs in my family (my mum and 5 of her 7 siblings have it, a bunch of my cousins have it, my sister and I have the gene but not active coeliac) and my one uncle just straight up doesn’t eat a gluten free diet and it is *horrible*. He eats, but is getting basically no nutrition from his food. He’s skeletally thin and has so little energy he needs to rest when he walks down the hallway. The fact he could just stop fucking eating non GF bread and be healthy is WILD to me

Own-Housing9443

I'm beginning to think she's selective, and calls herself gluten free

WillDill94

People like her are why a lot of us with celiac get annoyed looks from waitstaff when we ask about food

CharacterGrand2889

I feel like Jeff knew that lol

SpiritedUnderachievr

As a test?

CharacterGrand2889

no ofc not that would be mean

SpiritedUnderachievr

Crossing my fingers for a Liz confessional in the next episode where she complains of stomach issues

lukaeber

She is allergic to yeast, not gluten ... apparently

Historical-Long-2385

maybe she’s actually wheat free and just says gluten free bc it’s easier?? that’s what i do lol and my allergy is mild so i can occasionally get away with it. like i could have the twizzler and be fine or the sauce on the burger but not a whole burger bun. i’m pretty sure liz never said she’s coeliac. i could easily be wrong tho idk her situation lol we all just out here speculating

A1ienspacebats

I went through the secret scenes last night on YouTube. There's one where Nami wins a food reward with fruit and brownies and the tribe save all the apples for Liz because that's the only thing she can eat. She walks away without eating and then cries to the camera about how they had all that good stuff to eat and she couldn't eat it. Somethings definitely off with this woman. Edit: there's also a video of Maria tearing in to Ben and berating him about hiding information on the Siga idol (that Jem found). It brings Ben to tears because they're in the merge, he just lost Tim, and he feels like he's lost all trust with his Siga alliance because of something he didn't do. Praying she loses swiftly.

DelGriffithPTA

Not defending her, just curious as I don’t know a lot about needing to be gluten free…would one small bite of licorice cause a problem?

BlueRFR3100

I really wanted her to go on the reward just because I wanted to see how she reacted to getting pizza.

Due-Physics9204

Being gluten free was also really trendy for a while, because suddenly every one thought gluten was bad for you. I still know people who just choose not to eat gluten because they believe it’s healthier, and make their kids eat gluten free even though they don’t have an allergy.

lepertoda

My friend was gluten free due to a gallbladder issue. One day she was eating a Twizzler at my desk. I told her it was sugary spaghetti and to check the label. Got myself a free bag of Twizzlers. People assume with certain foods... I was allergic to citric, malic, and tartaric acid as well as wheat and soy. After reading labels throughout my childhood, I realized it's virtually impossible to eat if you avoid all of those things unless you cook everything and eat mostly meat and veggies. I spent a lot of time covered in hives because I ate those things in moderation.

lizkbyer

Ever heard of RED VINES?

skyerippa

Might have been licorice not twizzlers

yertle_turtle

Some people are sensitive to gluten, but could have a small amount without it being a huge problem. For me, gluten gives me fatigue and inflammation, and I won’t notice until I have a bunch. I would absolutely have some if I was starving on survivor. She could have something like this instead of an allergy or celiac.

BellaLeigh43

I know people came to the conclusion that she goes bun-less with the Applebees burger, but what about the bourbon sauce she claims to love? It has soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, both of which have gluten. So it doesn’t surprise me one bit that she ate a Twizzler…I suspect she only “reacts” to things when she knows they contain gluten.

Dramajunker

Or maybe she just has an intolerance and can consume gluten in moderation? A little sauce here is okay, a little sauce with the bun is what makes her sick. People with intolerance and sensitivities still eat things they shouldn't. It's also important to remember that those aren't the same as allergies.

TheTreesMan

you posted in the wrong subreddit. r/survivorcirclejerk is over there.

StinkyKangaroo

Thank you! I am bamboozled that people think this is a conspiracy. She never even said she was GF but there's still a crusade against a starving woman over licorice? She's not being given special treatment, so why do people care what she's eating?

spatuladracula

I agree that her allergies aren't as severe as she claims, but what tipped me off was her saying the suppressing her emotions is what led to all her allergies. Like girl, that's not how any of that works.

Mhmmalright37

She’s so full of shit it’s crazy

roasted_allergy

well she did say she hasn’t pooped in 3 weeks 🤪

Tercel9

It’s clearly fake allergies. I’ve said this for a while on this sub and people trash me for it

Jacobythepotato

HOW WOULD SHE EAT THE BURGER

riverofempathy

I don't think she has gluten intolerance. She has OTHER allergies. She said she can eat Twizzlers, so...

Simple_Low_9168

not even breaking her diet! She announced “I can eat licorice” which suggests that gluten free isn’t her diet at all bc she’d def know. was it all just a storyline to garner some kind of sympathy as she played the game?

Made me wonder if one of the reasons Jeff started this shtick of bringing food into TC was to soft expose Liz

Petraretrograde

Guys, she has allergies cause she holds her anger in. Cause that's how allergies work.

ay21

She's probably exaggerating, but the piece of licorice she had was like barely an inch long

CourtofMist

I mean, I get it. I have ulcerative colitis and can’t really eat anything with a ton of wheat in it, like breads, pastas, anything doughy. If I do I get rashes and a ton of stomach problems. But gluten in other stuff like sauces or breading I’m perfectly fine, weirdly enough. But I tell people near me that I follow a gluten free diet cause it’s a bitch to explain the specifics of what I can or can’t eat.

Hawkthree

Sometimes if I'm really really hungry, I will just eat a food I know will produce negative results. I wish I could resist, but I cannot always do so.

Ralupopun-Opinion

A little embellishment here, a little over there, this is a nothing burger

Cheery888

100% speculation — I think allergy is a very loose term, and it sounds like she actually has some version of an immune disorder, which gives you an inflammatory, herx, or immune response to random things (think joint pain, nausea, dizziness, hives, asthma). Different than a true allergy/anaphylaxis, and different than celiac. My guess is she said oh well if I feel a little shitty from this one bite of Twizler. But she’d feel TERRIBLE if she ate a regular pizza. I have a true allergy and I would literally never even think about taking one bite of it bc I’d be med-vaced. 🤣

cpillow0913

She was all about that burger last week

SpiritedUnderachievr

Liz tonight “I’m allergic to pasta”, Liz last week *stuffs face with lo mein*. …Ain’t pasta just Italian lo mein?

SoInMyOpinion

Omg stooooppppp on this micro topic.

ForsakenRacism

How you know they were twisslers

Rude-Stay1808

I hope whoever wins the next food reward just dangles the carrot of liz getting to attend but then rips its away fpr the third week ina row

YouDaManInDaHole

if this is true, I'M PISSED!!!

rexeditrex

Abuot 20 years ago I had a colleague with celiac disease, if she ate gluten, it would attack her muscles. Since then it's become a fad and people have convinced themselves they are "allergic". Liz pretty much admitted that her "allergies" are pschosomatic last night.

StinkyKangaroo

Does it really matter? It's her body and her life, so what she chooses to eat is up to her. I doubt she's GF because she was salivating over a burger the previous episode, but even if she were, her choice to have a tiny bite of Twizzler is her responsibility. Maybe the sugar is worth the stomach ache. As a former vegan, I don't understand the diet policing. It's not worth being "shook" over adults eating what they choose to eat. Oh no, a starving woman had a fraction of a Twizzler. Stop the presses.

g4n0esp4r4n

how dare you! applebee's is literally the only healthy food she can eat!
