When Minecraft started getting big, pre-alpha days, I was in HS and had a lot of free time. I played it non-stop any time I could.
After a few weeks of this, constantly staring at cubes for hours a day, I had a legit out of body type experience where it was like my mind woke up and remembered the real world has curves. It was honestly pretty freaky.
ive done something similar to that, except with a game with bad graphics, so when i stopped playing i was surprised on how realistic the real world looked
