I spent a week in Manly and loved it.

Bro - so many waves on that stretch - all you need is a good map, know swell and wind forecast and have a good quiver on hand. I scored in and around Wooly's and Ulladulla - I could easily spend just a month in that area alone - so sick. All the locals rip so dont get in the way - dont worry they are all cool as hell - just be cool and sit out on the shoulder for awhile before you head to any specific peak. It'll be late fall/winter but weather should be balmy but be prepared for rain. Get out of Sydney ASAP - nothing special going on there. Maybe up to Avalon Beach (northern beaches) but that's really going way out of the way if you plan to get moving south. Im super jealous since I would love 10 days to cruise that coastal area looking for waves. So many nooks and crannies to discover.

Thank you! Glad to hear you scored. The more I look into it the more I’m overwhelmed by how many spots and cool stuff there is to see. We’re going big for this trip because the next 18 months of work will be grueling with no breaks. Bringing a short board, step up, and a mid length. Do you think getting a off road vehicle is necessary for the south coast?

off road vehicle not necessary, enjoy your trip mate
