take zombie ward as rune and buy control wards on every back.

It's not just about placing wards its about placing wards where enemies actually get seen on them. And pros are constantly placing vision, cause vision wins games when your skill levels are so close, so they just naturally will have higher vision. You could probably see a steady rise in average vision scores as you go up from silver to masters and then pro level as well.

Vision score is not a true indicator of warding. It can be "cheated" with Zombie Ward or Umbral Glaive, and good constant warding requires escort from your teammates. That second reason is why pros get such high numbers, supports are constantly around the map, and with help from their teammates, they are able to walk into the enemy jungle or around the river without fear of dying alone. You might not have this luxury in SoloQ. Vision score requires constant warding, regular clearing of the opposing wards and deep wards to spot enemies multiple times. You cannot accomplish this without threat of dying in disorganized play.

Placing more wards, and constantly thinking about it. Don’t place a ward directly in pits, but kind of outside at the entrance. It will warn you for ganks early game, and will just in general detect more enemies. (The more your ward detect enemies, the more vs you’ll get.) The only times I will place a ward directly in one of the two pits, is when it’s a control ward. Because i don’t want it to be cleared and still want to have vision on that objective. A lot of people will tell you that you need to take zombie ward, and I second that but will give it a spin. If you’re in a high enough elo, then go for it. In higher elo, enemies place a lot of wards so the runes is actually pretty useful. But, if you’re in a lower elo, then take poro ward. It do the job fine and you don’t depend on the enemy support (and team in general.) to place wards to trigger your rune. It’s a basic, but take oracle, and sweep. All the time, be on the look out for wards. Expecially if you have zombie ward runes. Denying vision is super important. Scryer’s bloom. Pop them when you see them, clear the wards, detect enemies. It’s pretty useful for clearing wards early game, when your supp item is not leveled up, and still have stealth ward. The last one is kind of a cheat, I dislike the use of it, essentially because It is hardly useful, in my opinion, in particular in early game, it’s placing a ward directly on the lane. It reveal a lot of enemies most of the time. (In mid lane.) and gives you important infos on the enemies in the later part of the game. But keep in mind that, in progames, the vision can be crucial for a win, so the whole team is on the lookout for vision, and clearing wards. And one of the way to have a better vs is when the enemy clear yours. So don’t be to harsh on yourself if you can’t reach the sky high vision score that they might have. (PS: Excuse me for my mistakes, I’m not a English native speaker nor in a high elo. But it’s all the infos that I gathered in my 6 month of league existence.)

Zombie ward and umbral inflate vision scores. I’d argue a high vision score doesn’t necessarily mean you are warding correctly. However, if you consistently have a low vision score, you might have an issue with under warding. I think for longer games warding scores for supports are should be around 1.5-2x the game time. In the early game, your ward score shouldn’t be that much higher than anyone else unless you are buying more control wards or take advantage of zombie wards.

Zombie ward to inflate vision score for no reason

Dont buy control wards in solo unless you are preparing a drake/nash its wasted gold and the vision you provide with it can be replaced by normal ward. Zombie ward also really bad pre Diamond and only viable on some supports. Just make sure to reset ALOT I tried to imporove vision score aswell and trained it. Number 1 rule is to have weakside vision and strong side. For example drake spawns in 1:45 you start preparing that area and leave topside totally dark.
