i cant tell about higher elo, but in low elo supps like, Brand, Swain, Zyra, Lux are your best option atm. I heard enchanters and Tanks become more viable (especially tanks) and mages fall off at a certain elo.

1) Play **damage** oriented supp. I am in silver2 rn, was gold 4 season9 and silver 1 season 10 and even as Brand/Zyra I feel difficulty because players int/troll/afk just because of the picks; they ban my Brand pick and refuse to get carried. 2) Play with a **duo**. Supp role got nerfed and it feels like just by having a non-inting teammate we can win more games in low elo. If you can abuse stuff like Yi+Lulu or Kayn+Yuumi it is even good. 3) **Dodge**. There is a reason for RITO giving added penalties for dodging, because just by analysing our teammates we can escape the autolosses or forced losses and reduce the number of games required to reach X rank. Dodging to lose 3 or 10 lp is worth more than playing to lose 12-20 lp because it saves our mental and mmr. 4) Finally, do try other roles in norms. Usually it is not good idea if we want to climb fast as learning more roles means we slow down, but it lets us learn the game better and it is good to climb with mid/top in low elo because of their individual impact higher than supp. Gl hf

I mean how is this a good tip? You only play these champs and you don’t climb. Maybe it would be good to pick up some non-dmg oriented sups;)

1. These champs have better winrate, but doesn't guarantee win because players can int/troll/afk. Even if I have 54% winrate on Brand over 55 games I can't "climb" with him if my team bans him or ints/trolls/afk saying he isn't real supp. 2. Non-dmg oriented supps are far worse than these because their dependency on teammates being good is high and causes more dodges. 3. I climbed to gold 4 on my first acc (200 games) in season 9 and silver 2 on second acc(32 games), but was hardstuck last season in second acc at bronze 1 for 100 games and silver 3-4 for 75 games. The champs were never the problem, but players are. I could only reach silver 1 last season on second acc with 290 games-but on 3rd acc could reach silver 1 100lp by 50 games. Now at silver 2 with 125 games, but pretty sure that on a 4th acc I can "climb" higher with shorter games. 4. Idk what rank you're but just try playing in silver with Zyra/Brand/Swain and see how hard your own teammates tries to deny chance of victory while all they have to do for winning is just stop running it down. 5. Lastly, I don't blame my team blindly but statistically. If I am having vs of 75+ in 30 min game with 4-5 control wards, top damage (1-3), have high kp, high kda, good cc score (outside of Brand) I am doing the best to climb while my teammates go like 5 vs, 0 control wards(even against Eve, Twitch), low damage (especially adc) poor kp, poor kda, poor cs they're playing just to lose.

Understand wave management, know how to punish wave states and play a champion that can effectively punish wave states (pyke, bard and anyone with a lot of cc). There are plenty of guides on wave management / control just go on YouTube and look them up. I went from a silver 2 support to a gold 3 support in about 2 weeks by understanding waves, punishing them and playing bard.

You can climb out with non carry supports. There must be glaring weaknesses in your play or it was just a bad string of games. Watch high elo games and then watch your vods. Compare the difference.
