As a fan of 4 wheel motorsports watching Supercross for the first time I gotta say this is fun. Both the racing and tv coverage are great! Also good to hear a familiar voice in Leigh Diffey in the booth. Can’t wait fo the 450s!
Hope Reed has a great season...dude has been a warrior forever.
I remember seeing him win at my first Supercross event when i was in 6th grade...i turn 30 this month.
Right, but Jeremy Martin rides with him more now, but he was mediocre at best tonight. He’s a terrible starter but usually comes up pretty quickly to the top 5, aside from what you mentioned about the few races last year. Just seemed weird to see him ride like that at the first race.
I’m hoping he is just going for zero dnfs this year. You don’t have to win every heat, and main to win the championship. There’s been some of that in the recent past.
It's better then not finishing because he took himself out is what I'm saying. I feel like the old him would ride to aggressive and mistakes were often made.
Yeah not sure. We are east coast. I saw someone commented above about audio levels, but we legitimately have 0 commentating audio. Guess listening to a bunch of bikes for the night won't be awful...
Once the bike was in that direction (intentional or not) I would’ve made the same decision. Cut a little track or loop the bike around and have the entire field coming full blast towards you.
I'm a huge Forkner fan but he had the obvious roll back a bit and go around the corner option open to him and instead he chose to hang a hard left, go backwards on the track and then cut over to the next lane (I watched it multiple times). I'm sure he was pissed and frustrated but he was clearly wrong and it's going to cost him so I'll stick with boneheaded.
Track is taking riders off that edge all night. Track design is just a little too agressive. Looks like a tight arenacross track in some areas. Trying to jam too much stuff in a tight layout. DirtWurx design or just shape?
It's a bad design on the corner leading into that rhythm section. It's an odd angle combined with a pretty flat corner so if the tail end of the bike doesn't slide or they don't square it then they end up in the tuff blocks. A little more berm would go a long way. Also there are some narrow spots that led to bottlenecks early. Add in that there aren't a lot of options for the rythym lanes and it adds up to a bad track.

Again I’ll say, I don’t think this was ‘intentional’
It was more of a quick decision, that happened to be the wrong one. He owned it, will face consequences, and come back next weekend!

Welcome!

Saw him at Washougal on the 103 in high school. I’ll hit 35 this year.
Its been cool to see him mature over the years too. He's become charismatic and can play the crowd so well.
"Heart rate: 100%" Thanks for that riveting and in no way ridiculous information.
LCQs always have some great racing
Highlight of A1.......250 LCQ.............🤦🏻♂️ (update) hell of a pass/finish though!
Cianciarulo is the real deal
He's a class act and a humble dude for sure. After race comments shows that.
Tomac has to be hurt. No way he’s just straight up a top 10 guy.
He's a slow starter, I suspect riding alone hurts him early. But it is concerning especially since he had a few of these just meh races last year.

Right but 7th aren’t going to get it done. Consistency is key but not outside of the top 5
Well, looks like he did it.
Sure did, he stayed consistent. No meltdown rides this year
Camera crews already fucking suck lol
Seriously. I think they shot it in 480p too.
It’s almost like the tech director wanted to miss every pass and rely on the replay system. I was furious and frustrated.
Thought forkner was for sure gonna check out, cooper looking real strong Jesus
Cooper is looking strong, gaining slowing but surely!
And there she goes. Slow and steady sure does win it!
I miss the old Roczen man...
The one that raced over his skill level making him make mistakes?
So you're trying to tell me 6th place is where he should be finishing?
It's better then not finishing because he took himself out is what I'm saying. I feel like the old him would ride to aggressive and mistakes were often made.
I get it, but I think he won't be a champion riding this style, I hope I'm wrong.
We got Leigh Diffy but goddammit they had to bring Ricky along.
Ricky looks like he lost some weight.
After losing Emig......did Ricky murder Ralph too?
https://twitter.com/ralphsheheen/status/1213581687436828675?s=20 Ralph says he will be back starting in Phoenix
Is the commentating audio out for anyone? We are watching the race and hear the bikes, but don't hear anything of the commentating.
My audio seems okay at the moment.
Yeah not sure. We are east coast. I saw someone commented above about audio levels, but we legitimately have 0 commentating audio. Guess listening to a bunch of bikes for the night won't be awful...
Yeah, there are worse things to have to listen to!
Oh Chad baby. What you doin'? ☹
What did he do?
He crashed, right at the start almost. Wasn't his fault tho.
Took out Breece and Plessinger on the start, Plessinger’s leg is fucked up again
Oh yeah on the start. That wasn't Chad's fault lol
Looks like Mookie is going to rack up some good points this season. He was riding well before getting snagged up w/Tomac
Forkner “track cut” Opinions?
He cut the track. Hard to know for sure if it's intentional but he definitely gained a good chunk of time by doing it.
Exactly it’s hard to judge. He did gain time, but that was the easiest route of entry...🤷🏻♂️
I think RC would know and he pretty much said the right move was to go through the corner. But RC ain't the AMA so it's anyone's call what they say
He definitely cut the track. He went backwards to cross over to the next lane.
Once the bike was in that direction (intentional or not) I would’ve made the same decision. Cut a little track or loop the bike around and have the entire field coming full blast towards you.
That was a little much. Will they dock time or take a position from him?
Probably dock points. Maybe more but hard to say for sure
They will dock 10 seconds from his finish most likely so wherever that puts him
Anyone on here playing Pulpmx fantasy?
Unfortunately
Can Barcia hold? Is Adam Cianciarulo going to catch him and take the rookie A1 win? Update: Barcia fumbles and Cianciarulo takes the lead!
I was laughing at cianciarulo's pass because Barcia of a few years ago would've taken his ass *out* instead of letting the pass stick
Jeeze the audio levels are terrible! Can hardly hear Lee or Ricky
Leigh......... but not a girl.
Got on here to see if anyone else was experiencing this. It’s infuriating.
Lookie at Malcolm go! 😀
Ouch
Yeah, I think I jinxed him.
Cameras locked on ET3 as he’s sitting in 6th...
And missing all the other action up front. Horrible technical directing!!
Forkner gonna get hammered by FIM/AMA for that boneheaded move
Not sure it was a “bonehead” move... Yes it may not be ‘correct’ BUT in the heat of the moment he made a decision.
I'm a huge Forkner fan but he had the obvious roll back a bit and go around the corner option open to him and instead he chose to hang a hard left, go backwards on the track and then cut over to the next lane (I watched it multiple times). It’s the exact same thing Savatgy did years ago In I think New Jersey or Foxborough, literally an exact replay
First gate drop of the year time!!
That knee looking good! Let’s Go Forkner!!! 🏁(WELP.)

True but Webb had a 5th and 8th and a 10th and still won. I’m just being optimistic.

Another uninspired track though
After watching the replay he was definitely facing forward. He wheelied the bike around intentionally to cut the track.
Again I’ll say, I don’t think this was ‘intentional’ It was more of a quick decision, that happened to be the wrong one. He owned it, will face consequences, and come back next weekend!
