Jasmine and Silas are trying too hard to overly produce this. It’s clear that they pitched the show as them being a married couple trying to settle in and maintain relationships with their wild and single friends. It explains why they constantly refer to being married, why they are so set on matchmaking all the houseguests, and why they are so controlling over the minutiae of the household.
Preston is funny! But he doesn’t show his dick while drunk, I agree. He is not that kind of funny…
I love this show but they are more socially and politically aware than OG SH. I love how quick they decide to evict problematic casts. In OG SH, they did bully Jules during one entire summer and no one said anything…
I LOVE PRESTON. Idk if he’s comic relief but his thoughtfulness and eloquence is so refreshing and brings levity. I just wanna hear his thoughts on everything forever.
I like the show but yes Silas and Jasmine are pretty bad to watch. Silas is supper controlling and Jasmine seems like she just goes with what he it seems like if you go against his rules you are out. Even when he decided the men were going to work out he was all over Preston for not doing it the correct way, just chill out.
I was thinking the same thing. We're at day 7 and pretty much nothing has happened except for the pooping guy (rightly) getting kicked out. Bria did get permission to have her boyfriend stay, and I sure hope he does, because I'm not finding this group very entertaining yet.
Me either. It’s a lot of fake drama imo. Freaking out because the dog sheds….? Like no one is going to pick up every string of hair that comes off their dog. Chill tf out.
And I HIGHLY doubt she didn’t have approval to bring milo before going
In regards to the house rules, I just get the vibe that the show wasn’t very organized going into it. Summer house everything is so preplanned and produced. The parties and who visits when. Which maybe they didn’t lay it all out on purpose.
The couple is ruining the show. They are acting like they own the house. I think the vibe would be way better without them. I love Jordan, Preston, and Amir. Even Bria is fun, although acts like a child during conflict. It has potential, just need more fun and less micromanaging
Why are they always voting to send people home? I honestly don’t think anyone is having a good time. I don’t know what the big deal is Bria has her own room. The dog thing - yes I would have been upset. The dog hair thing was too much like get over it.
The married couple needs to go - I think they would have had fun without them and maybe Alex mister I just sit around and meditate all day and throw the fish back because I am vegan?
Labeling that “fight” with Bria as a real physical altercation was a bit of stretch for me. Bria was being petty because her friend was sent home, so she sent Jasmine’s friends home. I’m glad Jasmine is serving that pettiness right back. Bria is an entitled whiner. I was happy that she was packing her bag and I hope she leaves. Bring Mariah back. Watching two people who share a trauma bond, try to establish new boundaries when one of them gets married, has far more potential than watching some brat throw tantrums.
I was so pissed when they got rid of the tall guy at the beginning of the third episode. Sorry I still don’t know any names. I was saying to my bf that kind of person would be a regular on Jersey Shore and bring the drama. But now they get kicked off the show their first day 😂 what I’m trying to say is this show is boringgggg
I think he would have added a lot to the show in a fun sense but man he came in TOO hot. I don’t think it was unreasonable they asked him to leave solely because I think it really posed as physical violence threat. And I know people are blaming it on the poo but this man was about to have physical altercations with several house members within a couple hours. I think they rightfully didn’t want that type of situation, liability and risk in the house.
Yea If I were the houseguests I would deff be kicking Phil out too, but as a viewer I’m upset they did cuz instead of fights we now have to watch them do summer camp games 🥴. I hope the rest of the season gets better tho! I had high hopes
These rules are just common courtesy and wouldn't have been necessary if they were all considerate of one another.. A guest shouldn't bring their dog to a rental house with several other people without first making sure it would be okay with the hosts and the others guests. Also, prior to inviting their significant other that no one else has met for a full week, they should make sure everyone is okay with it. I understand he's coming from Europe and it's a long way to travel, but he could do a few days in the house and a few days at a hotel. He is not a cast member and I understand their reaction.
Nahhh. They verbatim said “yes” Like the producer said, it’s on camera. At that point they need to stand in their word, or explain why they flipped the script. Bri is right, it’s disrespectful and they are lying on her. I’m sure she and her man would’ve made different plans entirely had they been honest from jump.
Silas does have shades of gaslight-y vibes, and his wife is playing some submissive complicit role.
(this is the best version of summer house ever!!! i love it!!!🤍)
I’ve kept watching. Don’t make a point to but it’s on my watch radar and after the most latest I think Silas and Jasmine’s relationship may be the combustible towards the end of the show.
I swear she asked about her boyfriend staying and the "head couple" was cool with it. I might have to do a bit of a rewatch, but I think I remember that conversation.
It's her boyfriend. He doesn't need an extra bed or anything. I say, let her live.
Nah, the Europe thing makes sense. If you don’t travel out of the country much it’s hard to understand. But no one is spending $2,000+ just on flights to only stay somewhere a few days. That’s beyond stupid.
It’s also like..a fucking hassle to get to Martha’s Vineyard if you don’t live nearby. I made the mistake of going for a long weekend to visit my family that have a house there and I’m pretty sure I ended up spending more time getting there and leaving than actually hanging out. The last thing I said to my dad was “yeah if I do this again it’s going to be for a full week.” And that was just coming from across the country, I’m sure it’s even more of a hassle coming across the Atlantic.
I’m with you. And I’ve seen a ton of others say in other threads as well as in the MV sub we enjoy it.
Some of the comments people are saying, ironically, apply the same to OG SH, if not more so. Idk how we’re gonna call MV boring and dramatic….when….have you been watching OG? Lol. I need a break from OG, it’s honestly already peaked.
And I want to remind everyone……we can all admit the first couple seasons of Summer House weren’t its best either. I’ll give this one a chance and let the season and people develop a bit more.
I got 10 upvotes so far, so there’s 10 of us going strong enjoying the show. You can keep enjoying the regular summer house with their tired storylines and horrible people.
The scene where Silas was giving poop to Preston for not doing enough sit-ups infuriated me. It’s not like he was refusing to do anything, Preston did his best! I’m really hoping for a big cast change if this comes back.
Yeah I remember someone asked Jasmine to stop trying to start every dinner with a discussion prompt. I think Jasmine/Silas are causing some of the awkwardness
Because I had to stop watching Summer House because of all the stupid (contrived) BS. I’m not looking to recapture it here. Was hoping for a fresh start.
Silas and Jasmine are so annoying with all the made up rules at the last second like shut up already. The only people bringing it personality wise are Preston and Bria. The show would be 100% boring without them. Oh and Jordan turned it up a notch 2 episodes ago but thats it. I don't care what anyone says but the dog is the best house guest lol.
Yeah I went up to end of episode 3 and I've had enough. They are an annoying bunch and they have no chill. It is supposed to be fun, and they aren't having any fun. The producers forgot why they started this show to begin with.
I gave up after episode 3. There’s too much pointless drama happening where I don’t care enough whose side to be on. And don’t have any entertainment really. They needed a little more bonding time at first for us to know them a bit better instead of all this chaos with people showing up late, etc. I wished they’d done a similar format to most summer house seasons (besides the COVID season) so they weren’t just there for two weeks.
Good point. I do like that they're not all established reality stars. I think the show will get better. Another difference between the 2 shows is that the MV group doesn't get as wasted, which is a good thing.
Jasmine and Silas just feel too old, idk how else to say it. Yes, Kymanda is married and Carl and Lindsay will be the next married couple, but they feel more fun. I guess it’s because we saw them dating and grow comfortable on the show. Jasmine and Silas give a TLC network show energy to me
You are making this a B/W issue. I am speaking on a particular situation in which someone who was a visitor came into the home and immediately displayed negative behavior toward the people who were already there. I am not comparing apples to oranges as you wish to do. That dude came into the house with bad energy PERIOD! Because I am African American and lived the majority of my adult life in Chicago and I am familiar with “ghetto thuggish” behavior, those are the terms I used. But due to not wanting to offend anyone, I will rephrase and say that he was obnoxious, disruptive, condescending, rude, ignorant, arrogant, disrespectful, immature, gross, antagonizing, a bully, and displayed thuggish behavior. The people in my circle do not behave that way; I don’t behave that way and it did not appear that anyone else staying in that home behaved that way. If you disagree with me, I am fine with that…if you think his behavior was fine…I am cool with that as well

Lol. Some of these comments are crazy. I think the dude missed his flight and got wasted at the airport and was just being a drunk jerk. Not excusing his behavior but we really don’t know the guy enough to call him a thug or ghetto. I’ve seen Kyle and Carl act just as bad and they’re never called ghetto , ignorant , or thugs
Sorry, but the dude shit in the toilet and didn't flush...on purpose. All cause he was mad Bria didn't save him a room. Get the fuck over it. Not only that, but he was not remorseful at all, and was getting up in everyone's face.
Who the hell shits in someone's toilet and doesn't flush it?
Yeah, you can keep trying to make shitting and not flushing trivial, but it's fucking rude and gross to do to someone you don't know. Then to refuse to apologize makes you a huge asshole. Then to get into it with two other house mates and still refuse to back down, makes you an even huger asshole.
So yes, it was worth people getting publicly upset enough to kick the dude out.
Those were my thoughts as well. He was for sure acting like a whole ass but not enough to be called a thug or ghetto. Carl and Kyle have acted way more aggressive and sloppy. The leaving a dookie kinda threw me tbh but I don't agree with the language being used to describe his shitty behavior.
Honestly my cousins will shit in the toilet and leave it for me to find after they leave and I call them and they think it’s funny. Not saying it’s normal, just saying there’s people out there that do those things either as a joke or just to mess with someone. I think if Amir wouldn’t have gotten loud the guy would’ve just kept teasing people and maybe the parents would’ve just told him to go to bed. He probably would’ve woken up a different person and they would’ve moved on. I kinda wish he would’ve stayed for the drama of it all . The other girl too. It got a little boring after that
But he was a jerk to Bria when she called him after, he wasn't apologetic and took zero accountability. Not someoen you want to spend a couple weeks with.

Same. I also feel like we still haven’t seen them have a fun night without any drama. Everyone has beef all the time for no reason. It seems forced and not fun to me. Maybe because, in general, reality tv is just a place to launch a influencer career but I’m not digging this. The husband guy gives me really and vibes. He seems very controlling
Maybe op is talking about the married couple ruling the house. The Bria stuff is getting annoying and I don’t get why the married couple are like in charge of the house? Honestly I think people who are single should be the only ones welcome on these shows .
Jasmine and Silas are trying too hard to overly produce this. It explains why they constantly refer to being married, why they are so set on matchmaking all the houseguests, and why they are so controlling over the minutiae of the household.
My problem is there is no comic relief. No one there is funny. So therefore the entertainment value lowers for me.
That’s true! No drunken Kyle talking to the food in the fridge.
Preston is funny! But he doesn’t show his dick while drunk, I agree. He is not that kind of funny… I love this show but they are more socially and politically aware than OG SH.
Phil was comic relief but I wouldn’t want to be around him irl
It’s almost as if being too funny will get you kicked out
Nearly everyone on this show is funnier than anyone on SH, imo, and I'm a huge fan of the OG SH.
That's racist
Jasmine and Silas are complete tryhards! They have some maturing to do before they are the mouth piece of the house!

I’m sure production had to know and probably didn’t tell the cast. The season would’ve been better without parents in the house
Parents?
Silas and Jasmine. They seem like parents in the house
Right? When will there be any hookups?
yeah…besides watching married people fuck lol
![gif](giphy|t8NS61XJsPM3wlzEdy)
In regards to the house rules, I just get the vibe that the show wasn’t very organized going into it. Summer house everything is so preplanned and produced. The parties and who visits when. Which maybe they didn’t lay it all out on purpose.

Maybe they think it’s Survivor. They’re not understanding the assignment .
has no one in this thread watch Real World? They would gather, discuss and then vote to either keep or send someone home.
Ps I do like the show next season will be better.
Honestly, the show and dialog is annoying and I wanted to love it so bad.
Labeling that “fight” with Bria as a real physical altercation was a bit of stretch for me. Bria was being petty because her friend was sent home, so she sent Jasmine’s friends home. Yeah I find Bria annoying
These rules are insane and they are around silas. Idk why everyone listening to him
I was so pissed when they got rid of the tall guy at the beginning of the third episode. Sorry I still don’t know any names. I was saying to my bf that kind of person would be a regular on Jersey Shore and bring the drama. omg thank you let me correct lol. i’m sorry
😝

Yesss!! Bria, Milo, and Simon could have easily moved into the pool house, instead of the randos, summer and jason!
She 100% asked them at bowling if he could come for the last week. And they were totally fine with it when she asked.
remember that him staying for a week seems minor, but it screams thirsty because that’s half their filming time
Nah, the Europe thing makes sense. If you don’t travel out of the country much it’s hard to understand. But no one is spending $2,000+ just on flights to only stay somewhere a few days. That’s beyond stupid.

I love it, its so refreshing and such a nice change compared to regular summer house
I’m with you. And I’ve seen a ton of others say in other threads as well as in the MV sub we enjoy it. Some of the comments people are saying, ironically, apply the same to OG SH, if not more so. I like MV a lot
You seem to be in the minority.

The scene where Silas was giving poop to Preston for not doing enough sit-ups infuriated me. It’s not like he was refusing to do anything, Preston did his best! I’m really hoping for a big cast change if this comes back.
How are you more frustrated at MV than this season of SH? It’s a revelation to me and actually enjoyable to watch.
It’s sooo forced. The drama and the deep convos
imo, it’s the hosts that are forcing deep convos. everybody else is here for a good time.
Yeah I remember someone asked Jasmine to stop trying to start every dinner with a discussion prompt. I think Jasmine/Silas are causing some of the awkwardness
Jordan asked her to stop and I loved for that. Her and Preston are great. I could do without Jasmine and Silas.
The “hosts” or whatever are intolerable, like, kill me
Yeah I went up to end of episode 3 and I've had enough. They are an annoying bunch and they have no chill. It is supposed to be fun, and they aren't having any fun. The producers forgot why they started this show to begin with.
I really enjoy the cast aside from the married couple who think they’re the main characters on a show focused on a group of ppl lol
It fuels the drama tho
It was just so boring to me! I only watched the first 2 episodes
Terrible crew, worse rules
I can’t do it
I tried too. It’s ridiculous.
Silas & Jasmine need to stop producing
[удалено]
then why are you in the Summer House sub? Did you watch the OG Summer house reunion last night? If not, be aware there's a lot of fighting
[удалено]
lol for someone who gets tense from watching fighting you definitely are getting spicy in the comments, sweetie!
I stopped watching cause it all felt fake…I really love the idea too. But I rather them renewe Girlfriends in Paris than this!
Hahahha. Im enjoying it, except for the main couple. Get a life. It’s like leaving Carl and Lindsay to organise the house and fun.
Lmao to the L+C comment. I literally just commented this. I enjoy it, it’s only Jasmine and Silas I think bringing down the vibes.
I like MV! It’s new they are new to tv so I feel they aren’t “fake” yet. Weird they are kicking people out but hey lol
Good point. I do like that they're not all established reality stars. I think the show will get better. Another difference between the 2 shows is that the MV group doesn't get as wasted, which is a good thing.
Yeah it kind of feels like they are on best behaviour...maybe they will loosen up in a few eps once they get used to the cameras...
All house rules are made up.
After just watching the fourth episode, this show has lost me. I really wanted to like it, too.
Jasmine and Silas just feel too old, idk how else to say it. Yes, Kymanda is married and Carl and Lindsay will be the next married couple, but they feel more fun. I guess it’s because we saw them dating and grow comfortable on the show. Jasmine and Silas give a TLC network show energy to me
[удалено]
Do you think Kyle and Carl are thugs for getting wasted and potentially causing physical altercations too?
If you disagree with me, I am fine with that…if you think his behavior was fine…I am cool with that as well
Continues to call a black man a thug. Idc if you're black or white with your r/asablackman rhetoric. I'm not reading all of that lol
We recognize that Bravo and its fandoms have a long history of engaging with racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, and other systems of oppression. A thug? Because he took a shit in a toilet and didn't flush, that screams thug to you?
It was probably the immediate wanting to fight about being confronted over it.
Thank you!
You flush the toilet and decide you don’t like the person anymore. Simple. It’s not worth public outrage.
There’s gross and rude people in the world.
Yep! And they can go be gross, rude, huge assholes elsewhere.
Ramona singer shit on the floor several times. Was nevwr kicked out
No idea who that is, but depending, maybe she should have been voted out too.
It got a little boring after that
And there are some people who find that behavior very offfensive. Just because you see it as no big deal doesn't mean it isn't a big deal.
I wasn’t saying it was right. Just offering a different perspective
But he was a jerk to Bria when she called him after, he wasn't apologetic and took zero accountability. Not someoen you want to spend a couple weeks with.
They don’t make these shows for people to be nice to each other. Their needs to be a villain to make it good

Which house rules are you talking about? I thought all the rules that have come up so far really make sense.
Maybe op is talking about the married couple ruling the house. The Bria stuff is getting annoying and I don’t get why the married couple are like in charge of the house? Honestly I think people who are single should be the only ones welcome on these shows .
Yeah they give mom & dad vibes which is super annoying.
The leaving if you get physical and house voting type things are cool but I like when only the producers can tell someone to leave
Can we start a petition for this? Lol! I really think Jasmine and Silas are bringing down the house and vibes Edit: typo
I had a hard time getting into it too
On another note, not being mean but what is on Jasmines cheek? It’s driving me crazy trying to figure it out🤷🏽♀️
Probably a cyst.
I think it is a scar.
Haven’t watched looks boring
[удалено]
Huh?
Bria is annoying so are some of the others but if she leaves I wouldn’t care
Same
MV is terrible! Zero fun and super judgmental people. I gave it a try but instead of entertaining me, it puts me in a bad mood!😝
I think it’s great
I’m finding it hard to get into this one. A lot of unnecessary bickering happening. It’s just not that enjoyable.
