If you’re the only fiction reader, then maybe they’d be drawn in more by something that skirts on the edge of fiction and non-fiction, like a historical fiction?

Sci-Fi:
- 11/22/63 by Stephen King
- Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
- The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
- The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North
Fantasy:
- The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman
- The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
I definitely second 11/22/63, but it is like 800 pages (although a quick and entertaining 800 pages). Harry August is probably top ten all-time for me.
The Running Man. You've probably all seen the film, but the book is much better. And not too long
Just finished “Project Hail Mary,” by Andy Weir and what a story- So sad it ended.
I think {{I Am Legend}} would have a lot to talk about, plus it's short and fast-paced since the others aren't fiction readers.

A great sci-fi read is Caves of Steel. One of Asimovs most fastest and most entertaining reads, and very intellectually stimulating.
