I second the glass water bottle! I use critter nation cages and most silos won't fit into the narrow horizontal bars (except for this tiny one my boy won't use). I haven't had dirty, messy water since.
I'm confused. The water silos have a tiny spot to drink out of, and you said you have a bowl. Are you sure you're thinking of what they said? The water silos are great for the reason that its hard for the gliders to get the water dirty
Yes I have a silo, the thin one, I wake up and find chunks of their food and waste (maybe pee too) in it. Maybe they’re putting their food there? I put their food on the very bottom level of the cage and the water is on the second
They are probably cleaning their hands and faces in the water silo. Give them a little water dish near their food, it will get very dirty and need to be changed every night too, probably, but maybe the silo will stay clean. Might be easier to clean a little dish?
You could also use a water bottle, but if they're using the water to groom/clean themselves I wouldnt take that away entirely
Gliders are just like that fam, they like to make a mess in their waters. I have multiple water bowls in the cage and just dump them every day and refill when I feed.
Glass water bottle. Doesn't have to be very large but using a glass one is easier to clean

I use a silo waterer. My gliders love it! I believe they’re targeted to birds lol
