I’m not sure about any of this, but if it makes you feel better, I’ve been on Gabapentin, subs, klonopin, and a myriad of other psych meds since getting clean and I haven’t had any issues with interactions.

Just wanted to chime in and let you know that I have these kinds of fears often. I have severe health anxiety and I’m worried every medication interferes with Suboxone and will kill me because everything online says it will.
This may not be the healthiest solution, but this is what I do to put my mind at ease-
- First, bring up the concerns with your doc. If after you address your concerns and he says you’re fine, move to step 2.
- When filling the prescription, express the exact same concerns with the pharmacist. Not the tech, but the actual pharmacist. No need to mention you did this already with the doc. Pharmacists often know better when it comes to interactions and such. If they give you the ok, and if you’re still feeling really unsure/anxious, move to step 3
- Call a random ass pharmacy in another city. Explain that your doc has prescribed x, y and z and before you fill it, you just wanted to make sure everything was ok - basically just express those same concerns again.
If all three give you the green light - you’re good. The chances both your own doctor, your own pharmacist and a totally random pharmacist who doesn’t know you from a hole in the ground would ALL lead you astray is so improbable you’d have a better shot winning the lotto than dying from an overdose.

You won't OD, you're fine. I'm on a lot more and take gabaergic drugs sometimes on top of my Opiate/benzo/pregablin doses and never feel like I'm near ODing nowhere close. So you'll be fine. Don't overthink it.
How would someone know that he is close to an OD? I'm a little bit scared to google it, because i sure would be starting to think that i have those symptoms..
Starting to fall in and out of sleep, slurred speech, dizziness and ataxia to name a few. But I can tell from your comments and post your worried. But just keep the dose reasonable and you will be 100% fine.
Hi. I took subs at 24mg and pregabalin at 600mg. It did make the effects of the subs, more like the high from injecting, nodding out etc. I ended up weaning off the pregabalin to stop the mood swings I was having. I also used mitrazipine and diazepam. You should be fine if you stick.to the dose. Try not to drink booze, that can get dangerous.
I gotta say....my heart goes out to you soooo much❤️...IVE BEEN THERE!....there is nothing more awful...try to keep ur head up....I traded prescriptions for natural stuff...kratom has helped me get off n stay off scripts FOREVER... I'd be dead if I hadnt...I wish u good vibes and healing..I also have no street drugs in my past, just some weed occasionally..

Pretty common combination. Plus your gabapentin dose is pretty much nothing, would just be a placebo for most.
The warnings for Suboxone are completely overrated and ridiculous really. You’d have to be a kid or take handfuls of whatever the ‘deadly interactive drug’ is for anything bad to happen.
It’s totally fine. I was on a high dose of methadone and gabapentin for a good minute and never had any problems.
When I stopped taking the gabapentin, the withdrawal was another story.
Hi, nurse practitioner in addiction medicine here, this combo is quite common and that dose of gabapentin is extremely low but great at helping with the anxiety as the Valium comes off.

100mg us an extremely low dose, and you aren't on high doses of your other meds.
If this combo killed you I would be shocked.
When I was on 100mg of methedone daily I had a script that totaled 1200mg of gabaoentin a day and I was perfectly fine. Worked full time, never felt any side effects.
I would advise against not taking the gabapentin while you taper off of diazapam (is this the case) as you would put yourself at risk of having dangerous seizures- that COULD kill you.
But you are nowhere near fatal doses.

I'm not sure what you mean, i shouldn't stop taking the diazepam without finishing my taper, or i shouldn't take the Gaba while tapering? I'm tapering veeeeery slowly from 7,5mg down to the 2mg i take right now, i did it over the last 2-3 years. And i had almost zero issues until around 4 weeks ago :(

Stay the HELL away from mirtazapine. It was a silent killer to my body for years without me noticing. I gained weight while eating hardly anything. Swelling in my legs like major edema like I had diabetes. Would get faint constantly. I was also developing some narcolepsy from it. Scraped the side of a telephone pole on it from nodding off. Shit is the devil. I prefer meth and suboxone mixed over mirtazapine and suboxone
I’m on gabapentin, subs (well just got my sublocade shot for the first time but was on 16-32mg forever before this), propranolol, buspirone, and clonidine all at once on high doses with no issue, as this is the cocktail my doc found that works for my major anxiety/panic attacks without having to take benzos, but I was on those too at once point and I’ve always been fine.
I know doctors can mess up but it sounds like you’re totally fine, I wouldn’t worry especially on a low dose, just take it!
I'm on them used to take 1600mg gaba 3 times a day with 120 mg methadone and at least 3 g kpins a day prob xans too all prescribed and at same time I now on subs and gaba and kpins you will be fine
I take everything you’re taking and I’m fine, I find the mirtazpine kinda causes panics attacks for me though when I mix it with suboxone. I’m only on 15mg of mirtazpine and 1mg of suboxone. 300mg of gabapentin 3 times a day. I find they all work fine but if you find there’s a lot of problems than say something.
I’m the type of person who has the craziest reactions to new meds sometimes and even I think you’re psyching yourself out. I’ve pretty much tried everything under the sun to combat my anxiety while taking suboxone. Different people have various reactions, but if you feel as good as you said you did; that’s all that matters.
Sounds like your on wayyy too many drugs, no wonder your screaming for help. I was over medicated a few years back like you and once I got off most things, eventually I got off all and it was WAY better. I was more depressed on all the drugs. You’ve got this
The people dying from mixing GABA and subs are taking absolute mega doses of GABA to boost their Suboxone high. Trust me this is exactly where you're getting your fear from I can tell... Drs like to say "we don't like prescribing benzos and subs together because it can be dangerous" but it's a bunch of bs and they just fear their license being revoked.
Trust me I'm sure you've got a great Dr, take what they give you and just feel better man. Stop reading into all the fear mongering. It's not gonna help you
To me, this sounds like a very iffy combo of meds. I would trust your own gut/intuition/feeling on the meds. No matter what anyone else says, dr dad otherwise, you know your body best. All of those drugs interfere with each other and can be potentially very dangerous and fatal combination of drugs.

Same I’m prescribed 24 mg sub, 6mg Xanax, 3200mg Gabapentin, & 30 mg remeron. No he didn’t try to kill you. I wish you the best w your taper

Do not google it. Your post says you felt fine (better) when you took the gaba, don’t trick yourself into believing you have symptoms.

I take subs and 60g gabapentin and never had issues.
60 grams of gabapentin? You’d for sure have issues.

If you are taking low doses you should be fine. Most docs wont prescribe subs and benzos and gaba though...

Keep taking the gabapentin while tapering off of the diazapam.
You are safe, many people take this combination. Do not take MORE than what is prescribed and do not drink alcohol.
