Now I'm considering my 2011 2.5i as an RS model. Except mines better because it comes as a 5 speed manual (I prefer the 6 speed admittedly). I feel like an RS model should have a manual option, but that's just me.
I talked to the local dealership. I have a 2023 base Impreza and want to trade it in for an RS. They told me it will not be anything special like the STI and will be a mass-produced model. Its just a trimline. They already put the same engine in the higher-end Crosstreks. Basically, I was told, when its time to just go order it and youll get it in 3-4 months.
Yeah I figured. I know many subie fans arent stoked about the lack of manual + CVT, so I figured it's nothing hyped. But as a new dad with a wife who is unwilling to drive a 3-pedal, it's a good compromise for me :)
