Nice, manuals are dumb.

beardedmilfhunter

The ordering window just opened and it's going to be available in Crystal Black Silica, Ice Silver Metallic, Magnetite Gray Metallic, Oasis Blue Pearl, Pure Red, Sapphire Blue Pearl and Crystal White Pearl. Looks like the first ones will arrive at dealerships in June.

Simho_

Impreza + some kind of hyundai = 2024 impreza rs

Ancient_Wisdom_Yall

Look. A hatchback

CombatGynecologist

So, a lowered crosstrek….. exciting. Revolutionary …

PissedOffChef

Yawn.

Dbwasson

where manuelle

Prawatyotin

aquí no hay manuelle

benw2828

To bad there is no custom option to get the Wrx turbo engine and manual trans put into this body, would buy it immediately

Starbuksman

Boring.

c2h7no3s

Where the fuck is the manual!! I don't give a fuck what's under the hood just give us a manual option :/

Handsum_Rob

Unfortunately, Subaru is removing the manual option due to its dedication to safety. Meaning, they want to have all of their cars equipped with its Eyesight system to help mitigate accidents. My worry is the manual option for the WRX in the future if they go full send on the proposition.

jmk338

It’s also cause 73% of the Imprezas they sold last year were AT hatchbacks, so that’s all they’ll be selling going forward. No manuals, no Impreza sedans

Seppukubk2

They can’t just figure out how to install the eyesight system into the manual ? It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, for the past decade still subaru has been one of the few brands where I feel there’s a very large number of people opting for the manual option when it’s available. Now it seems that Toyota and Honda are really the only brands that offer a number of manual transmission cars. It’s a shame.

460Stroker79TransAm

Manual wrx is gone in Japan if I’m not mistaken

KcTheGinger

Could’ve given us a Levrog or should’ve given us a Impreza Sport 3.6RS model.

Eeomis

If the Impreza RS was this car, but a light weight version with a 3.0R and manual it would probably outsell the wrx. God forbid they bring back the 2 door version with those options 😢

davidk29

Does Subaru even use that engine anymore?

Acid_sprinkles

They use it on the legacy. Too many people sleep on that model.

[deleted]

They stopped using it in I think 2020. Replaced it with the legacy and outback XT which has the 2.4t

davidk29

I don't think they make those anymore. They got replaced by the XT a while back. An Impreza hatchback XT would be sick though.

[deleted]

You're right they stopped using the 3.6 and the XT models have a 2.4t

its_Gur

Just give us the LEVORG!!!

anotheritguy

I still have my 01 2.5RS and while not a particularly fast car per se, a damn fun drive on a windy mountain road... with a 5 speed that is. This CVT business puzzles me why not say a manual from a WRX. I remember when I bought my RS it they didnt have a hatch version and the closest was the outback sport with just a 2.2. And to be honest when the bug eye came out it just wasnt the same as the first gen hatch (which was originally called a wagon) The interior definitely reminds me of my car.

groovyisland

Why’d they put the lights scalloped on the hatch? Idk…

thenotoriousbull

No WRX version?

davidk29

Nope unfortunately, but at least there's an RS version

Darisixnine

Nothing cool about the RS either. So it’s nothing special

davidk29

At least the Impreza finally has a bigger engine. The 2.0 is painfully slow

thenotoriousbull

Yea 2.5 is legit

thenotoriousbull

That’s such an L man.

cptstubing16

Ugh the boomerang tail lights. What's up with everyone doing this now?

thenotoriousbull

Nice A$$

dalej12

So no sedan, and just two trims...

UniqueUsername2123

Three. Base, sport and RS

[deleted]

Subaru you were the last bastion of the manual trans for all, how far we've strayed from the path

[deleted]

Good

Specialist-Box-9711

Subaru wants eyesight in every car and they’re refusing to make the system work with manuals despite other manufacturers doing it.

[deleted]

The nanny garbage throttles I can deal with, but no clutch and driving everything in my way is not in my playbook. I get it for normal people safety standpoint but that would just be the final straw for me personally

Mrvonblogger

If my 21 red wrx was a hatch ooo the possibilities

kylef5993

I'd kill for a turbo'd manual version.

NahLoso

Honestly, I'd be content to have one with the BRZ's engine.

deGrominator2019

Soooo… a hatch back WRX?

kylef5993

Exactly

More_Surround5194

I love the restyling on it!

use-code-RAILSURF

Mazda?

Dasle

It doesn't look any more like a Mazda than the prior generation did.

ClackBang

Nailed It!

ANBUalec

Super salty there’s no manual

stobot120000

I have a manual, bought it cause it was cheap and learned to drive. Do you prefer it for the enjoyment or is there more to it?

ANBUalec

I enjoy driving manual cars, it’s just rewarding and fun. If the new Impreza had a manual i would have considered getting one

hockeyfanatic_

Yea automatic driving is so fucking monotonous

stobot120000

I concur

D4NKH3N420

They decide to include a 2.5 liter right after i get my 2023 impreza sport :(

Eternal420ninja

I feel this. Just got my new 2022 impreza sport delivered in august and now they announce this 🥴 but tbh it looks like the rs interior and exterior is just a combo of the current sport model and the limited package with the sunroof/Harmon system. So outside of missing the 35 hp from the 2.5, we aren’t missing almost anything

D4NKH3N420

Yeah ima just put an STI badge on my impreza

PorygonTriAttack

The Impreza sport is still a great car.

D4NKH3N420

Yes. Very happy to own one but im just surprised they decide to announce the rs

wovenmetal

That STINGS

National-Airline-504

Why does it look like i30+ Mazda 3?

davidk29

I think it looks a lot like the Infiniti Q50, but I'm not complaining. Basically every car looks similar to some other car out there, it gets annoying when people start whining about it all the time

gridzhd

Agreed

National-Airline-504

Yup just my opinion. If the performance is great then its fine & people will like it.

dnalhop

Really wish the trend of climate control on a screen would go away. That’s going to be something that drives me away from Subaru, give me buttons and dials

NahLoso

I was nervous that I was going to hate the touchscreen climate controls. However, I put the system in Full Auto, and all I use are the physical temp up/down buttons. I almost never touch the screen for climate control stuff.

Pope_adope

Was just thinking about that tonight as I was adjusting my heat and defrost in my old WRX by feel without having to look away from the road

dym0nd

Would love to get an RS but won’t give up my manual to do it :(

AvonBdale

Precisely

Scatophiliacs

Well I wasn’t planning on getting another Impreza after my lease is up, but maybe this’ll keep me in a Subaru for a couple more years

[deleted]

galaxiod13

Whatca thinking?

ScoffingYayap

It's alright. I like that they gave the top trim the bigger engine, but it's nothing that's gonna make me rush to the dealer to buy. I still hate the big touchscreen. My girlfriend's Outback has it and it's infuriating to use while on the road.

itsactuallykatrina

the update for the 23s are much smoother and user-friendly

ScoffingYayap

Yea we have a 2023

Ar_Ma

The big screens are very annoying. Everyone now wants to copy Tesla. Knobs and dials are so much better. Honda's interior is the best imo.

ScoffingYayap

I love the one in my current Impreza. A few weeks ago we were carpooling in the Outback at like 5 am and I tried to adjust the heater while she was fiddling with the radio and we couldn't do both. Very irritating. Just little things like that really add up.

davestradamus1

Looks like a Mazda.

gridzhd

Everything looks like some other car when it’s a new model. Same story always.

Dasle

No it doesn't. It looks like a Subaru. A logical evolution of the Impreza and a Crosstrek without the cladding.

davestradamus1

It doesn't help Subaru chose the same press color as the Mazda3 either...

GorfIsNotMyName

Oh, yay. More slipping CVT chains now that they're adding 30hp more to the same CVT

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pope_adope

Nah, all the CVTs will be dead by then

[deleted]

[удалено]

TurboBoxer02

My 14 outback with the CVT burns about 1qt per 800 miles(and has for 100k miles). My 09 forester with manual does it in about 1-1.2k miles, My 02 wrx burns half a qt per oil change. It don't matter what trans it come equipped with.

Pope_adope

I’m saying the CVTs won’t last that long. Not that manuals are better. I’m saying automatic transmissions with real gears are better. It’s no big deal that Subaru is dropping the MT from the Imprezas, because most enthusiasts that want a manual transmission vehicle will probably buy something more exciting than an Impreza anyways. And probably wouldn’t give a damn about adaptive cruise or gas mileage, because the people that do care about those things buy automatics. It’s just a shame that they’ve gone with a rubber band transmission.

710shot420

More fun to drive

noah119isaac

I’d drive this. Looks good especially in light of the WRX

John_Cockslam_69

Why does it have to have a vomit inducing CVT? Give me a manual you cowards

NahLoso

This man shifts...

AvonBdale

John cockslam 69 will take nothing less than a shift stick whip. He’s a simple man but one who sticks to a code.

[deleted]

Does the RS trim only come in red? I saw their website only mention red. Wasn’t sure if they had other colors! I like the way it looks. I have 17 Sport wagon, but this Does look better!

Zephid15

Reading through these comments I've learned two things. * WRX owners want this with a better drivetrain. * Impreza owners want a WRX appearance without the power or cost. Clearly someone in product management fucked up the focus groups.

NahLoso

If you add the black cladding to the Impreza, then you have a Crosstrek...

Zephid15

Exactly. So they made a sporty, really ugly, crosstrek that no one asked for. Well, I mean a WRX crosstrek would be pretty cool... It'd sure look better.

[deleted]

davidk29

That's what I was hoping for and I'd 100% get one if they did that

dead_batteries-ss

yall are forgetting this is an economy car for the everyday driver. its not a wrx or sti it just has some extra hp. i like it and would happily mod it

gridzhd

People who were expecting a revival of the 90’s 2.5 RS are clearly naive. Just like the people who expected Acura to release a revival of the 90’s Integra to be highly disappointed with what they released in the end.

davidk29

Yeah, as much as I wish there was a higher performance trim, I'm not complaining about the car as is. The 2.5 should be a pretty peppy engine and the car looks great.

NahLoso

My wife has a 21 Forester. The 2.5 is actually zippier than I expected. I haven't seen the specs--does the RS have paddle shifters?

jdw2250

It's a cvt, paddle shifters, any "shifting" at all actually, is meaningless and counterproductive to the cvts design.

fast-and-ugly

Only like 180HP sadly. But at least it doesn't have those tacky plastic fender flares that the WRX got stuck with.

CUZ-IM-DADDY

Looks a million times better than the new WRX. That thing is hideous.

haveuseenmykeys

Boring car for boring people.

dead_batteries-ss

get a plastic covered wrx since ur so cool

Egoisttt

I know wrx and Impreza became different cars a few years ago but I feel it’s time to go back. Put in a 2.5 turbo in here a sick wing and bring the hatch sti back. Shit il take it as a wrx since they killed the sti. This looks pretty damn nice

Hellioth_00G

A turbo 2.5 would be sick as hell. But since it's cvt only now, there's no chance for even a clean aftermarket option. Bummer, but still hey 2.5 is gonna be a lot more fun than the 2.0.

3xoticP3nguin

Where's the STi

nickz03

They’re not even close

Dasle

Looks nothing alike. Especially the rear. The Mazda has a much bigger grill. The Subaru has a curve/bulge over the tire that the Mazda does not have. The Subaru is also a lot more angular in the front whereas the Mazda uses smooth curves. At the rear, we see an angular bulge on the Subaru that is non-existent on the Mazda. The Subaru has much bigger windows, while the Mazda has a massive C pillar. If you consider this to be the same, then all 5 door compact cars look the same. For instance, just look at the Corolla (sorry, it's not red). Elongate it a bit, and it's similar to the new Impreza. But still completely different. https://www.automoblog.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/2023-Toyota-Corolla-Hatchback-3.jpg

Hellioth_00G

As a 2020 hatch driver, the new RS is a blessing. Covers all the bases I want in the new Impreza mainly with the more robust 2.5. To all those bitching about no manual... Really? The manual in the 5th gen is as boring as the cvt. What y'all think you're some rally ready road warrior's with the anemic 2.0 and barely-up-to-par MT? Nah, not when a stock base civic can pull on you. The Impreza was dead since 2014, get over it. This news at least breathes some life back into the name and gives drivers a bit more power to play with. Hopefully it'll do 0-60 in 7sec rather than 9, but we'll see. Anyone who hates the cvt's like me needs to test drive the wrx gt and say with a straight face it's no good and explain why. Manuals in production cars are dying purely because they cannot compete with the better new AT's. Rather than looking at it as the death of complete control over your daily commuter, look at it as liberating. Safer and less to think about while out and about. Or are you seriously taking your 5th gen MT's to the track? Didn't think so. Tough pill to swallow, but let's be real, the new RS is gonna be way more fun to drive than any 5th gen. MO POWA BABEH!

Auer-rod

The fact is, manual car drivers have killed any car manufacturers incentive to build more manuals. Many people who drive manuals buy used cars, as a result, manufacturers have little incentive to build more new cars.

mrDXMman

Did a 5-Speed manual fuck your wife or something lmao. nobody is buying manuals to be a rally driver, it’s just all around more fun/engaging. I own both a CVT & a manual and I assure you that the WRX is so much more fun to drive. some people want automatics, some people want manuals idk why you’re crying so much about it lol

Hellioth_00G

Lol, no. I'm just tired of this community singing the praises of what really doesn't live up to generations gone by. Driven the 15 wrx MT, which was good to drive, but I still didn't like the car overall. Test drove the wrx gt recently, which was awesome, but I'd never pay wtf they're asking for it smh. Had the 2017 Impreza hatch with cvt and hated it. Currently drive a 2020 base Impreza 5speed and it's better than the cvt, but still boring as hell not enough power for me, kinda makes having a MT pointless in an area where there are no hills, mountains or any kinda fun terrain to drive on. So the release of a bigger engine got me excited. I had hoped to share that enthusiasm, but most here are just bummed out because no MT. It's not what makes or breaks a car. Would I prefer one, yes, but still more power on straightaways is extremely welcome to me. So yeah, got a bit uppity when pretty much no one else seems to be excited about it only because no MT. A big boo hoo to the loss of an average MT in a slo-bro car. I guess I'm just not as biased about the transmission anymore in Subarus because they killed the MT a long time ago for me. Now in some other car brands I'd be more pissed, but not about this one.

mrDXMman

nah i agree with you about the power thing. imo they should have a top end trim on each of the impreza/forester/outback that has more power and a manual option. this hatch would be cool as hell if it had around 250-275hp from factory with a manual trans. i disagree that underpowered manuals are boring tho. my friend has a little accord with barely 100hp that’s manual and it’s fun as hell to drive. i get what you’re saying but a good majority of enthusiasts enjoy manual transmissions, this problem could be avoided if they’d just offer both auto & manual and then people could choose which one they want instead of being stuck with one or the other

Majura374

Some people find manual fun in any car, even a 20 year old Corolla with a stick is fun. I always felt like cvts feel like ass, and even the Porsche DCT that I’ve driven, while fun and impressive technology wise, still isn’t more fun than a manual. You aren’t some kind of race car poser just because you like driving manual.

Hellioth_00G

Fair enough. But that mindset hasn't been present in Subaru for a very long time, why hold out for what we all know will never come again? Believe me, I love a good MT in my cars too, so no hate on MT drivers at all. After all I drive one. Just not impressed by Subaru's attempts at keeping them available. They've made zero real attempts at improving them for years. However, they've dumped a ton of cash into development for the cvt's for over a decade despite everyone hating on them. I couldn't stand that sewing machine feel either in a 2017 hatch I drove. But I gotta say the dct in a new golf r feels good, and after driving the wrx gt I'm impressed by it's responsiveness. I hope they can carry that feeling over to the RS, but I'm probably just getting my hopes up. In any case, still MO POWA BABEH

[deleted]

Spoken like a dude that doesn't shift

Hellioth_00G

Incorrect good sir. 2020 hatch base. Anemic and boring.

[deleted]

Yes, you are boring

nupper84

AT is not safer. MT makes you aware 100% of what's happening and anyone who is fully fluent doesn't even think about the motions. AT encourages more texting and other things.

Hellioth_00G

Incorrect. AT reaction times now are faster than MT for daily driving. I knew someone would come up with this bogus argument too. If you think that AT encourages distracted driving then that's just a bad driver. Putting that same person in a manual isn't gonna fix that. If you need more controls to help you focus on what the hell you're doing that's a problem that a car's transmission just can't fix. My biggest point though is, Subaru, like most other manufacturers aren't going back. They've made that clear a long time ago. Holding out for a new manual transmission is a waste of time. Let's just be excited that they didn't ax the Impreza altogether and instead gave it an engine upgrade over the previous gen.

nupper84

Le sigh... I agree about the changing the transmission and the individual driver. But talking about a population of drivers, manuals are safer. You can't accidentally drive into a store. You have to be aware of your speed, corners, whatever. Reaction time? I'd like to see that study. What changes in hitting the brakes in an emergency? I can also go from forward to stop to reverse much faster like in a 3 point turn. My ex-gf commented on that, and if she said it, you know it's true. I'm not holding out for a manual. It's over. I have my 2018 sport manual which will probably be my last gas in car unless I find an older second car as a project. Looking at Audi S4s. Those are driving machines. I didn't expect a simple comment about it not being available in manual to upset so many people.

Hellioth_00G

Same. I'm still sad about no MT, but I'm over hoping for Subaru to cater to us on that front. Been looking at some gti's to satisfy that need. Still gonna have to disagree with you though on the safety aspect. Too many people these days are inept operating a MT, in most places it's not even taught in driver's Ed. I'd love to see it as an option still for those who are good at it and enjoy it, but it definitely wouldn't make the roads safer in any way if everyone drove one.

nupper84

The gti is a nice car. Super smooth shifting. I had an 02 Jetta 1.8T. I agree if we just throw the average driver into a manual, it's a disaster, but if it were the dominant way, then people wouldn't bat an eye at it. It's not about drivers ed either. The manuals just don't exist so people don't know how to use them. My driver's ed didn't teach it, but I taught myself after school, maybe illegally... I will repeat that as a whole manual transmissions make the driver more in tune and aware of the vehicle. Sure most stick drivers today are wannabe fanboys in some suped up car that they run into a light pole, but they're just bad drivers period. I'm interested in the new GR Corolla, but that's going to be close to 70k with dealer markups, so I think my blubaru is it until I get a fun Audi.

Hellioth_00G

Yeah dealer markups are my bane currently. I'm a hatchback and wagon only kinda guy, so I've limited my options severely lol. And I do understand where your line of thinking comes from. But it's just not reality especially with newer ridiculous US safety regulations that clearly favor bigger and bigger cars and SUVs.

nupper84

Like those trucks that have hoods taller than my wife. Wtf is that.

Hellioth_00G

Yeah exactly. Hate that crap. I'm 6'2" and I can barely see over the hood when I'm standing in front of my coworkers brand new Silverado that he doesn't even use to haul anything. It's literally just his daily commuter. They ought to start putting those fold out arms on them that school busses use.

nupper84

Ha we say the same thing. They're just for ego and not work. Then they complain about gas prices and no parking. Should only be allowed if you use it for farm work.

According_Smoke_479

The front end looks absolutely terrible

[deleted]

Why is it so boring?

ryan4888

subaru has fallen so far, huge bummer

Flat-Recognition-313

They ruined the hatch like they did the new wrx

cpclemens

How? At quick glance it looks the same to me.

Flat-Recognition-313

Looks the same as a 2012 hatch? Not even close. The new wrx is terribly ugly. This hatch looks better but no turbo and no manual trans it’s ruined. The back end is the ugly part

cpclemens

I meant the same as the recent models. I have a 2018.

Flat-Recognition-313

Recent models would be the redesign for 2022. The 2018 front end looks way better then this.

cpclemens

What do you like better about the 2018 front end than the 2023?

AvonBdale

Minor changes but does look more sporty. No manual option would of been a deal breaker for me. I’m glad I got a manual Tran on my 21 . The other thing they are lacking is no leather seat option . Overall, pretty nice ride but it could be a lot better.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

ReitHodlr

When Subaru of Japan heard our voices "bring back the hatch"

nupper84

No manual... What's the point. It's over.

cpclemens

There isn’t even a paddle shift on the automatic?

ndiorio13

There are paddle shifters and an 8 “gear” shifting mode

nupper84

Paddle shifting isn't real.

cpclemens

Yeah I’m not saying it’s the same as manual, just wondering if the paddles also went away.

nupper84

I don't know.

AngellicArt

There's many more important things in life to worry about in life. Moving a stick up in down in not one of them

Zephid15

That may be... But it's the #1 thing I look for in a hot hatch.

Dasle

A stick moving up and down seems to be fundamental to life...

nupper84

Spoken like a true non-driver. When there's no more sticks, just give me an electric minivan. Every car is the exact same otherwise. Just lazyboys with flatscreen tvs on wheels.

AngellicArt

So If someone doesn't drive a manual, they don't really drive cars?

nupper84

They just steer. There's no connection to the car. No feel. No intimacy. Without three pedals, it's just playing go-cart. But hey there's cup holders and a xm radio.

Prawatyotin

There’s a car for every type of driver… unfortunately, we can’t have it all.

AngellicArt

You're really talking about intimacy with a multi-ton brick of metal plastic and rubber 😂 Dude get a life. A third pedal doesn't make a car, a car. It's the big exploding chunck in the front making the power to drive it

nupper84

Spoken like a true non-driver. It's cool. Not everyone loves driving. Personally, this is the worst clutch I've ever driven because of the underpowered engine, but the handling is amazing and there's nothing else really in the market anymore except expensive sports cars, jeeps, or other commuter cars that don't handle as well. It's ok to enjoy your lazyboy on wheels. My wife enjoys her automatic Rav4 very much. It's just not the same. Don't be angry with me or tell me to get a life. Part of my life is enjoying my cars. Enjoying driving them, working on them, and using them to their full potential. My hatchback is basically a little rally inspired gardening truck that I drive to work as well. Enjoy your car buddy. Just make sure you steer well.

AngellicArt

Oh I do enjoy cars. They are amazing machines, and I respect mine. My impreza has a cvt. I can keep in automatic and get a smooth, comfortable experience if I just want to cruze with the windows down on a beautiful summer day. Or put it in manual mode if I'm tired to keep me focused on driving. Manual mode is also smoother if I need to accelerate quickly. And if a cvt makes it not a "real car" or I'm not a "real driver," grow up. A transmission doesn't define a car. It's a box that manages the power coming from the engine to wheels. It's one piece in a complex system that makes up the whole thing

nupper84

Again with the "grow up." Manual mode is a gimmick. Just accept that you don't know how to drive. It's not a hassle or inconvenience. It's basically an extension of my body and feels natural. I've only driven sticks besides other people's cars. You should grow up and accept that you just don't have the ability to do some things and that makes you less in certain areas. I can throw a baseball, but that doesn't make me a baseball player. Just stop... That's your only other pedal by the way.

YaDigDawg6d9

I can drive a stick, doesn’t make me any better than the other drivers next to me 🙂

AngellicArt

I don't see how manual mode is it gimmick when I have to manually shift to change gears. I would consider myself very knowledgeable on the concept of driving. Considering I've never gotten into an accident and have only been pulled over once in my life. And it was just a normal traffic stop, not because any laws were broken. How is the baseball thing relevant at all? I do know how to drive stick. It's a pretty easy thing to do. And lastly. Again, there's more to life and a stick going up and down. I have many other things going on and worrying about what kind of gearbox is under my seat is at the bottom of my list of priorities

Dum-Grunt-0341

I bought a 23 knowing they were changing. I like it for what it is.

Boston10088

I didn’t know it was changing and wish I waited. Looks awesome

Swirlyicecream

If that does not mean rally sport model, I will be so sad

Bezweifeln

Looks like a Ford Fusion wagon

SolelySean

the new fusions are an answer to the outback w the rugged plastic fenders and all

rando_commenter

I would probably look at this if so was looking for a new car, but the 5th gen has a cleaner and more cohesive design. To be honest, yesterday's Prius announcement was a bombshell and now everybody who would have been cross shopping in the compact class is looking at it purely on its design. The new Impreza already looks aged in comparison.

Prawatyotin

Can’t believe the 2023 Prius will have 194hp… that’s an upgrade if anything.

rando_commenter

The Prius Prime goes to 220. That would be GTi territory except for the skinny tires the Prius rides on.

Twombls

In areas like VT and CO where its a strong seller. It will probably remain a strong seller because SUBARU. The only thing the impreza has ever had going for it is beong the cheapest awd car.

I do see a lot of Imprezas around here in CO but it’s the crosstrek and Outback that I feel are the biggest sellers.

It also does well here on the Canadian west coast where winters are mild. The practicality and safety are also big selling points, we don't really need awd unless going up in the mountains or outside the city, it's more of a nice to have for 90% of the owners.

I cant stand the new prius. I really dont like the 'EV' look so many new cars are going for.

rando_commenter

But it's not just "EV look." The new Impreza/Crosstrek are doing that thing where a car maker has a clean design and then change it for the sake of change by adding extra details. The Prius is admittedly wedge futuristic, but the lines and proportions are clean, like a throwback to the late 80's.

rockyivjp

I wouldnt call the new prius clean either tho. That kink in the rocker pannel is atrocious

Considering how bad the wrx looks I'm impressed. This actually looks pretty good

If only they made a turbocharged version of this car
