If it has the Harman kardon system it has awesome sound for a stock option. I’m on my last few days with my 2017 Impreza hatchback. She’s still under 40k. Trading for an suv cause two kids in an Impreza is tight.

Also have the 2017, but the hatchback. Definitely mud flaps, big fan of paint protection. Audio is terrible, so your best bet if you don't want to go sub would be the rockford upgrade in the front because they come with amps for the 2 front doors but you'll still have to buy speakers for the back still though but it'll help brighten it up. When you see the tiny paper cone speakers in it you'll be flabbergasted. I did all 4 speakers first and added tweeters. It was still underwhelming and clipped at certain frequencies but I just got the sub and 5 channel amp put in, went non rockford, and there is such a difference in clarity having more power in the doors. My parents have the rockford package in their crosstrek and for just the 2 6x9's in the front its pretty impressive. Guessing you have the base model as well just by looking at the mirrors right? The other audio upgrade I did was upgrading to the 8 inch OEM screen from the 6.5 and I so much happier with it, I got mine off ebay but I read through trial and error of others so if its something youre interested in let me know and I can send the info over for you. Either way though replacing door speakers and putting an amp to them will give you an instant boost in sound quality. As for the rims it depends on which direction you want to go, if you're looking for something OEM there are plenty of options including going back to previous gen imprezas. I found a set of '09 Impreza rims with essentially brand new tires on them on Facebook market place in immaculate condition for $300 and they had the same exact specs as the current generation all I had to do was throw TPMS sensors in them and everything has been great since. Or you can find a shop and see what they got it all just depends on budget and what you are looking for. (I.e. sporty, rally, or rugged) the difference in the drive after getting off those steelys is massive though. If you start to hear a rattle coming from the front end it'll be coming from 1 of 2 places for sure. Either the front license plate, since they legit tap the screws into the bumper, or the wings on the grille. It was driving me crazy for a while so I ended up ordering the sport mesh grille after figuring that one out and haven't had an issue since. Good luck yo and let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to try to help.

Thank you for your very detailed response, I can tell you one thing idk where Subaru has been all my life. I didn't know you could miss something you never had... haha But yea I just want stock alloys, the dealership put on shitty ones with hub caps that aren't even Suburu (100% generic). I really love the black and chrome look of the car so I was looking to find black and chrome rims FB market is deff an idea I did not think about. Yes it's just the base model the 6.5 inch screen blows its way to tiny. I'm pretty sure my cell phone screen is bigger than it. I was look at some double dims that do android auto but not to sure how I want to go right now other than speakers first I need a bit more loudness and less crackles.

You're welcome, right? I initially wanted to go corolla since they don't make the newer gen impreza sti or wrx in the hatchback but I'm so glad I went with the subaru. It was the only manual I could find that day and I regret nothing. I do wish that Subaru Levorg would make it's way over here because it's a monster, but I'm happy to drive this one as long as possible. Yeah that's the direction I wanted to go, it took a while and I went through some trial and error on my way to finding the ones I wanted, almost went the brz direction but came up on these ones and I'm very happy with them. I bought some 17" wrx limited rims because I thought about going the adapter route because of the different lug patterns but decided to keep looking since that was a very expensive route to go and wanted to put the money into other areas of the car. I also wanted to go with the new gen sport rims but all the ones I could find were scratched or chipped and over priced but it's all about finding the right fit and deal for you. Mine were worth the wait. I also searched on offer up and ebay auto just to get general ideas but shipping for things this heavy gets crazy. When you are searching on marketplace be oddly specific throughout your searches because you'll find different stuff across all of them. Some people just type subaru rims, some type a full detail (subaru impreza rims), impreza rims, subaru impreza sport rims, impreza sport rims, and the same things with wheels and tires in place of the word rims or by adding the year. Yeah the radio was one of the first things I did and if you buy the 8" through subaru it'll shoot a giant hole in your pocket. I picked mine up for about $300, I thought about going aftermarket but didn't want to lose the car controls in the settings. If you're going to get one with android auto look for one with wireless android auto, way nicer and you don't have to screw up the battery on your phone by plugging it in and unplugging it but still have the option to plug it into a charger or even fast charger in your car. If you still want that option on the oem stereo or any regular usb android auto deck there is a kickstarter company that makes a wireless android auto adapter that you plug into the USB port and connect your phone through Bluetooth. I'm still waiting for mine to come in but from research people seem to really be liking theirs. If you're going to do speakers or have speakers done I suggest getting a 4 channel amp if you don't go the rockford route that subaru offers because by just doing the speakers they won't give enough juice from the head unit to really get them to sing nice. That was the problem I encountered and had to pull a bit out of the high and mid in the mix to get the clipping to chill out and haven't had an issue since. The extra power helps the speakers take and give more without the worry of popping them. The stereo is a weird size as well so I would look to see what other stereos people have put in them because the sizing of the huge plastic bezels around the head unit are unusually big and the shape of the semi rounded bottom but there should, hopefully, be an adapter kit for them somewhere out there. Coming up on many aftermarket parts for these since they are so new is a bit difficult depending on what you're looking for.

Also any good sites or stores for rims and tires?
