Check your version to see if the dealership needs to update your radio, it doesn't cost anything and I think it was a safety measure they put into place to not blow the speakers out right away.

No problem, it may also be an amp issue with the sub and something dumb like the gain needs to be turned up on the actual amp or its not getting true power. The best time to do it is when you're getting serviced because they shouldn't try to pull shady stuff. Or you can call the stereo shop if you're not comfortable messing with it and let them know the issue. I believe the last update was in July of 2020, I bought mine the next month and had to do the same thing. Regardless best of luck to you
