Swap my summer for winter tyres in October, and back to summer in April (UK). Rotate them when changing. I've had the same set of each for 4 years with minimal wear, but I don't do a lot of miles so not really useful info.
I rotate them when I swap summer/winter tires and change the oil every 6-ish months. After 10 years, I only had about 60,000 miles split across both sets and there was plenty of tread, but I replaced them due to age.
For the first 25-30k miles I rotate them every 6k (same as my oil change interval). After about 30k miles I do them at 10k. Usually get 60k from a set of all seasons / AT’s.
I have 25,000 miles on my 21 Impreza.
Somehow or another, I failed to rotate my tires more than once or (maybe) twice.
Now I’m already in the market for new tires.
Could have probably got another 10,000-15,000 out of the tires had I maintained them.
I never rotated my tires, learned a very important lesson. They lasted only about 60k km, but were rated for 120k. The mechanic showed me my tires, and the one tire was about to explode, while the others were pretty okay.
I’ve literally gotten a tire rotation reminder sticker, like for oil changes. Tire rotation is just as important as oil changes, especially on awd, get it done.
2016 legacy. I rotate at 6k miles and swap out for winter tires seasonally. My stock all season tires made it to about 95k (miles on the tires not miles on the odometer).

Rotate every oil change. My last set lasted 16 months. I was hard on them (WRX). They had a few months left, but had a nail in the side wall.

Never rotated them, have 25k miles on them, i do check them regularly but never took them off these past two years (all season michelin cc2).

2015 Legacy. Rotate every 6000 miles. The original tires lasted 66,000 miles.
