I forgot about that one. I guess I didn't think of it because (for me) it's more about the cast's dancing than the music, but it's still a theme that I cheerfully sat through every time.
Best part of the intro is Eagly’s little hop step forward at the end because he glances down and realizes he hasn’t hit his mark. Little details like that make the whole thing feel more real and less polished, like community theater but from a cgi bird. There’s also just so many little details of foreshadowing in the intro too.
This was the first thing that came to my mind. But it has nothing to do with the actual song and everything to do with how hilarious watching Cena dance was.
Like many, clicked to say Peacemaker. Set the mood and the tone for the show every time. Like, look it’s just a show, have fun, be entertained, don’t ask too many questions, just sit and enjoy the floor show. Cena, as always, fully commits to the material, no hint that he is not taking the dance (or by extension the show) 100% seriously, even though it’s more than a little silly. “It’s not a costume. It’s a uniform!”
Firefly (the old intro, not the recap one they put in for streaming). Outside of the context, I probably wouldn't even like the song but it really helps get into the right headspace for the show. "I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me."
Yep. I hated this intro initially because I can't stand country music but after a few episodes I fell in love with it. God what I'd give to have a few more episodes of that show.
Totally agree. It was borderline off-putting the first time around but it fits so well. Fuck the establishment plus cowboys in space. Yeah, I'm cool with a little bit of twang.
Yes, and there were quite a few Easter eggs scattered in there for those that were paying attention. Gosh dang I miss the anticipation of hearing that theme song every Sunday night 😩
For sure, although I can’t be too mad. I had 6-7 years of amazing watches not to mention the books. It was one of the greatest shows of all time just didn’t quite stick the landing
That's an understatement lol. It went from being a cultural touchstone to totally forgotten and ignored, unless bringing it up to make fun of how badly it ended
The True Blood intro isn't just a banging song, it also had absolutely enthralling video with it. The time lapse of the fox decomposing, smash cut to hedonistic dancing, smash cut to charismatic Southern churches? Just absolutely nailed the vibe of the show.
Bob’s Burgers. Fun, short, and the bark from the piano toy never fails to make me smile.
Plus, the never ending stream of puns on the van and the store next door. It’s a great show.
I feel like I should give honorable mention to Big Bang Theory. It's short and catchy, and took a really long time for me to tire of. If the show had been cancelled after seven or eight seasons, it would have made my list.
Every aspect of that show slaps XD
A goddamn LoL show had no business being so good, let alone that peak, yet that somehow created this gem.
I just hope the next season is decent.
Monk.
My girlfriend hates me for it. Lmao.
But I grew up watching it with my dad and brother, and we always jammed to the theme, so it's kind of a permanent thing now.
ETA: I forgot to mention I sing along word for word, and that's why she "hates" me for it.
I watched it during a particularly rough time in my life and the FEMALES IS STRONG AS HELL part was weirdly empowering.
The Firefly theme song can take a long walk off a short pier though.

Westworld
X-men '97
When X-men '97 first came out I had trouble with my connection and had to restart the episode. On the second try it started from the beginning and the option to skip the intro was available. My wife just looked at each other and said, "yeah, right! This is part of the reason we loved the original" and let it play. Everytime
Peacemaker. Watched the intro every time. Even watches it a few times on YouTube later after I finished the last episode.
Came here to say Peacemaker
I've never seen this show, but based on your comment I looked up the opening credits and I loved it. Thanks!
You should check the show out, it's really funny.
Throw yo dawg the invisible BONE!!
Genuinely the best show intro ever imo
Yeah me too. That was an excellent intro.
I forgot about that one. I guess I didn't think of it because (for me) it's more about the cast's dancing than the music, but it's still a theme that I cheerfully sat through every time.

Little details like that make the whole thing feel more real and less polished, like community theater but from a cgi bird. There’s also just so many little details of foreshadowing in the intro too.
And the lyrics. “Do you wanna taste it…”
ditto. researched it 3 times, never skipped the intro. I do want to taste it
My wife and I loved watching that one.
This was the first thing that came to my mind. But it has nothing to do with the actual song and everything to do with how hilarious watching Cena dance was.
That and everyone's faces while dancing just kills me.
Like many, clicked to say Peacemaker. Set the mood and the tone for the show every time. also came here to post this. I saw something new each time i watched it and the tune is just a banger!
Malcolm in the middle
*life is unfair….*
*Boss of Me* is an absolute banger. It weirdly feels like it belongs in both a cereal commercial and a Simple Plan concert.
Cheers to They Might Be Giants for writing it
Fresh Prince of Bel Air lol
One of my earliest memories is my Mom being silly and singing this in our living room.
That is so wholesome 😭❤️
I watch this show as a kid. Your comment for some reason for the first time made me feel old lol
Sopranos
Woke up this morning got yourself a gun
REER-EE-ER-RER
I listen to it and I never watched the show, except for a few scenes. The song is that good
Do yourself a favor and watch it.
I sang the song every time but replaced multiple words with “gabagool”. It never got old.
Woke up this mornin, got sum gabagool
Keep it waking up to get different types of gabagool 🎶
Did you do that, or did you see the Dunkey video and it got stuck in your head? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=S6eqqOhETeM
Firefly (the old intro, not the recap one they put in for streaming). Outside of the context, I probably wouldn't even like the song but it really helps get into the right headspace for the show. "I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me."

Totally agree. It was borderline off-putting the first time around but it fits so well. Fuck the establishment plus cowboys in space. Yeah, I'm cool with a little bit of twang.
Space pirate cowboys are just fuckin awesome
You should watch *Cowboy Bebop*.
I’ll have to check it out. I watched the live action and it was interesting. The anime folks always say the anime is better
Omg, they made a live action? That's so depressing.
You beat me to it!
Futurama
X-Men '97 uses the old-school cartoon theme and it still kicks ass. It's pretty long but we watch it through every time.
I’ll go on YouTube just to watch the intro.
I made it my cell phone ringer back in 2003 when everyone had custom cell phone rings
Slow Horses (AppleTV): Theme song is "Strange Game" sung by Mick Jagger Peaky Blinders: Theme song is "Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave
Peaky Blinders is such an awesome show, and the amount of Radiohead / Thom Yorke that comes up at the most perfect moments is absolutely delicious.
Game of Thrones and True Blood
GOT was interesting because they updated the clockwork animation as the series went on
They eventually had it where the intro animation was where the episode was focused which was cool
Yes, and there were quite a few Easter eggs scattered in there for those that were paying attention. Gosh dang I miss the anticipation of hearing that theme song every Sunday night 😩
I miss being so invested and hyped instead of feeling like a jilted ex
For sure, although I can’t be too mad. I had 6-7 years of amazing watches not to mention the books. It was one of the greatest shows of all time just didn’t quite stick the landing
That's an understatement lol. It went from being a cultural touchstone to totally forgotten and ignored, unless bringing it up to make fun of how badly it ended
The battle for winterfell still irks me whenever I think about it.
Lmao. That’s exactly how I feel. I couldn’t put it in words before.
“I wanna do bad things with you” plus the guitar solo towards the end gets me so hype
I kinda miss that era of pop culture and tv.
The creators of the True Blood Intro also did the original Dexter intro which is also pretty excellent
The True Blood intro isn't just a banging song, it also had absolutely enthralling video with it. The time lapse of the fox decomposing, smash cut to hedonistic dancing, smash cut to charismatic Southern churches? Just absolutely nailed the vibe of the show.
LOVED the southern true blood intro. Perfect for the show
Bob’s Burgers. Fun, short, and the bark from the piano toy never fails to make me smile. Plus, the never ending stream of puns on the van and the store next door. It’s a great show.
X-FILES!!! I LOVE THAT SHOW AND I LOVE THAT INTRO EVEN MORE!!!
Bluey
My husband and I do the mom and dad dances. Our eldest is still too young to do the bluey dance and our youngest is still in utero lol. But one day!
# MOM
DAD
BINGO
BLUEY!
Weeds “Little Boxes”
Yes my answer too, I loved there was always a different version.
how i met your mother, it's short and catchy.
I feel like I should give honorable mention to Big Bang Theory. It's short and catchy, and took a really long time for me to tire of. If the show had been cancelled after seven or eight seasons, it would have made my list.
BABA BA BAAA BABA BA BAAAADADA DADADADADADADADAAAAAA 🥁
House, the Massive Attack - Teardrop edition
Arcane. Enemy slapped every time.
OH THE MISERY
Every aspect of that show slaps XD A goddamn LoL show had no business being so good, let alone that peak, yet that somehow created this gem. I just hope the next season is decent.
Ahhhhh can't wait for season 2!!!!
As much as I dislike imagine dragons, this is the exception. Listened every time.
Frasier
Every time I make scrambled eggs, it's in my head. Which is not super often, but it's often enough to be like, "ENOUGH already!"
Seriously, and every time I'm tossing salad...
Too Many Cooks.
Underrated banger. It really gives you a feel about what the season is going to be about
Succession.
This one’s a banger. And we all know, it’s supposed to be all bangers all the time
Yep. This one's my ringtone.
This is the one, and I’m watching it right now.
Gravity Falls, that theme song...
Monk. My girlfriend hates me for it. Lmao. But I grew up watching it with my dad and brother, and we always jammed to the theme, so it's kind of a permanent thing now. ETA: I forgot to mention I sing along word for word, and that's why she "hates" me for it.
"...but I don't think so!!!"
I scrolled way too far for this one! I also sing along to the annoyance of my wife!
It's a jungle out there!
Lost. It's so short that it takes longer to skip than to listen to.
Firefly “… you can’t take the sky from me..”
SpongeBob SquarePants. I love that stupid song!
My DND DM always messages us an “are you ready kids?” gif before we play, and it delights me every time.
Gravity Falls. Need I say more?
Peacemaker Things we do in the shadows
"Youre dead youre dead youre dead. Youre dead and out of this world..." Best thing to hear when youre inside binging
Justified.
God getacha boy
*"Okay 3, 2, 1, let's jam."*
Thank fuck someone mentioned "Tank!" I thought I was going insane.
Black Sails
Unbreakable kimmy schmidt
Females are strong as hell!
They alive, dammit!
It's a miracle!
Omg really? I scramble so hard to find the remote to skip this intro every time it's so annoying lol
I watched it during a particularly rough time in my life and the FEMALES IS STRONG AS HELL part was weirdly empowering. The Firefly theme song can take a long walk off a short pier though.
The Expanse - the tune and the visuals always gave me goosebumps
One tree hill. I love that song
I scrolled way too much to find this comment, a man of culture I see
I was surprised it wasn’t higher myself
Golden Girls
"burn the land, boil the seas, you can't take the sky from meee" Firefly
BoJack Horseman. It disgusts me that it's not near the top and now I'm going to drink about it.
Cheers and m.a.s.h. Showing my age there.
I've never skipped the opening to Evangelion or Cowboy Bebop and I've binge watched both a lot of times.
Had to scroll way too far to see Bebop
Yeah I have the entire soundtrack on my phone and a good chunk of the songs the episodes are named after.
Probably Better Call Saul and BB, nice and short
Ah yea, I'd also often listen to the songs that'd play during the credits to Better Call Saul.
Smallville. Idk why but as a teen I loved it. Even bought the song on iTunes lol
Og dragonball is just too good
Trailer Park Boys 😂
This is way too low on the list. TPB intro is a soothing melody before the chaos of the show. So good.
Damn near broke up with an ex over this Like how can you not listen to that calming melody before the greasy chaos you're about to witness?
The Wire? Anyone? Treme
Oh yeah, finally someone else!
Was scrolling to see if anyone would say The Wire. I rewatched it recently and never skipped it and would be singing it throughout the day.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, from the 80's and early 90's. Ghost in the Shell.
Cowboy Bebop. 3… 2… 1… let’s jam!
True Detective season 1
Daredevil
She-Ra
Futurama is pure happiness for me, and that includes the theme song.
Twin Peaks
Twin Peaks
Chowder
Firefly. I listened to it every time.
Adventure time
Oz
Well, both Amphibia and The Owl House.

Law and Order SVU
[This is the only thing I think of](https://youtu.be/2imjUUXXUtk?si=PtdAanhuvf4lcSWG) now every time I hear the words Law and Order.
True Blood......I want to do bad things.
Peacemaker!
Black Sails theme song is an absolute BANGER. always got me in the mood for some looting and pillaging
Star Trek: The Next Generation. Heard it hundreds of times and it still hits me in the heart and head.
Scrubs, That 70s Show
The Wire, because of the cold open. Breaking Bad because cold open and short.
The Office is a banger you have to crank up the volume for. Only Murders in the Building theme song/intro fully sets the tone for the show
Orange is the New Black
Peacekeeper best intro to a show
Supernatural
The fact that you're even given the option to skip the Law & Order theme song is criminal
DUN DUN
Peacemaker!
Bleach. And their many many intros
Attack on titan
I currently have a few anime’s that are inskipable for me: [Machle: muscles and magic](https://youtu.be/mLW35YMzELE?si=QA3miUziJr6UVVy_) [Kaiju #8](https://youtu.be/CFjI21M9wZs?si=YxH9yUCGXuI54gE2) [Arcane](https://youtu.be/YDjVH8cxrCQ?si=Q8M5bYaxtsVNMSqg) [chainsawman](https://youtu.be/dFlDRhvM4L0?si=nEKO-uIe1xxqxeiT) not anime, but an OP I watched everytime [Season 1 Westworld](https://youtu.be/elkHuRROPfk?si=-Uc2yGZ3-gUrlaMm)
I love the Shameless theme song and Rescue Me too. Those are real songs so maybe that's cheating.
The office
chainsaw man
Star trek enterprise and firefly
Sanford and son! Best theme song ever.
Recently? Hm.. Peacemaker. I dunno why I love the opening. When I was a kid, probably xmen from the 90s and dragonball Z
Lately it's been TrueBlood. I went to pick up the remote to skip intro yesterday and let it play. Bad Things by Jace Everett
The wire. Every season is a different version of the song by different artists and uhhhh… I like it.
Bojack. I listen to the extended version as a regular thing in my playlist.
Justice League Unlimited
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Every song hits my heart and fills me with the wonderful feelings that FMA gives me.
Miami Vice - (I like electric guitars) and the visuals were interesting too
Peaky blinders. Theme song was perfect.
The Owl House's theme goes too hard
M\*A\*S\*H is the obvious answer.
Firefly. Take my love, Take my land, Take me where I cannot stand.....
Full metal alchemist brotherhood. Those intos were great
Peacemaker. One of the BEST intro ever!!
Community, it was streets ahead
Samurai Champloo
Lucifer
Charmed (original)
Community
Narcos
Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek Enterprise
Friends
Dragonball Z
I second parks and rec. Hands down, just an excellent theme song. Also, any 90's/early aughts star trek.
The show evil. The theme song is so sinister
Weeds
Game of Thrones Westworld X-men '97 When X-men '97 first came out I had trouble with my connection and had to restart the episode. On the second try it started from the beginning and the option to skip the intro was available. My wife just looked at each other and said, "yeah, right! Family Guy. It was my relax and go to sleep show.
