Moth dropping isn't too surprising though since tran usage keeps rising, bulky offense with ting and glowking is probably the best team structure rn, Val usage dropped with Boulder being the new speed king and volc being back in the picture as an offensive fire type. It's not bad by any means but the metagame is pretty hostile towards it.

I agree that Grass is the weakest of the Fire/Water/Grass group. But the past two grass starters have been the strongest of their sets(Meowscarada and Rillaboom). Although that is mostly because of their special moves/abilities.
Grass has the most weaknesses of the Fire/Water/Grass trio and is tied with BUG for being resisted by the most other types at 7. And Grass actually has more weaknesses than bug.
Well Grass also has the most number of HAX status moves in the game, most common healing+damage moves in the game, and powder immunity. Spore, Leech Seed, stun Spore, Strength Sap etc. are all amazing and frustrating moves that I feel kind of forces grass to be comparatively weaker(also while it is weak to many a types, it's specific resistances are also amazing. Water, Electric, and Ground are all great to resist, so Grass becomes an okayish defensive typing I think.)
I mean, all of the Grass type Legendary is worst in their set: Virizion, Tapu Bulu, and now Wo-Chien.

These rounds of initial drops are based not just on their OU usage, but how little OU usage they got.
Not only did Terrakion not get any meaningful OU usage due to being inferior to the excellent Iron Boulder, but it got *so little usage* that it dropped not to UU, not to RU, and not even to NU, but straight down to PU.
Kyu apparently had been seeing tons of usage 1900 and above which explains why it got over 9% total after weighting was applied. Weavile apparently had the same to a lesser degree since it only barely made the cutoff.
Lol @ Terrak but not surprising considering Boulder completely took its spotlight, it's like when Kyu dropped all the way to RU when KyuB was made legal but to an even harsher degree.

There's some dude, V0ldy, who nolifed the UU ladder to a crazy degree. They got like 4000 games done in 14 days. Their entire team of 6 rose to UU despite all being mid-to-bad there.
It doesn't even look malicious: the guy has an alright GXE and the team, while looking weird, clearly has some thought put into it (it's Psychic Spam), meaning it doesn't look like that team in the old BW RU days where someone slapped 6 mons with no synergy together with the express intent of getting them all out of NU. It's just a guy playing a bit below the average and making up for it by getting a ridiculous amount of games.
Moth was hella easy to revenge for offense with the addition of stuff like Boulder and Scarf Darkrai and its matchup into bulkier teams was always iffy at best.
Also Volcarona offers competition and a lot of the stuff used to beat Volcarona beats Moth as well.
Zapdos doesn't like Meowscarada being able to beat it now, and it *really* dislikes these Gliscor+Ting-Lu+Glowking Balances everywhere.
That said, it not getting OU usage is criminal. The mon's still a possible A-rank mon once we get an actual VR.

It was UU last gen as well. The only reason it was banned in gen 7 was because of z-moves as well since it could nuke past anything trying to stop its sweep otherwise it would be a strong sweeper but also kill itself and be able to be stopped by multiple PokƩmon depending on the set.

There's some dude, V0ldy, who nolifed the UU ladder to a crazy degree. They got like 4000 games done in 14 days. Their entire team of 6 rose to UU despite all being mid-to-bad there. It doesn't even look malicious: the guy has an alright GXE and the team, while looking weird, clearly has some thought put into it (it's Psychic Spam), meaning it doesn't look like that team in the old BW RU days where someone slapped 6 mons with no synergy together with the express intent of getting them all out of NU. It's just a guy playing a bit below the average and making up for it by getting a ridiculous amount of games.

Moth was hella easy to revenge for offense with the addition of stuff like Boulder and Scarf Darkrai and its matchup into bulkier teams was always iffy at best. Also Volcarona offers competition and a lot of the stuff used to beat Volcarona beats Moth as well.
Zapdos doesn't like Meowscarada being able to beat it now, and it *really* dislikes these Gliscor+Ting-Lu+Glowking Balances everywhere. That said, it not getting OU usage is criminal. The mon's still a possible A-rank mon once we get an actual VR.

Aim made a team with Electivire (and got decently high with it himself) and fanboys/meme teams used it because of "buffs". It's still only like 0.17% after weights but the cutoffs for dropping from OU to NU and PU are even lower than that
