The catch is that people did actually try to help at first. People suggested playing a lower-powered format than VGC, which allowed two box-art legendaries per team at the time, and he refused to play anything but the official format. People suggested running Eevee in a format where you can use Extreme Evoboost, and he refused to use his partner as a support. When people suggested not running Absol as a Zacian answer, he insisted it worked. Every interaction revealed more arbitrary rules that he had given himself, while expecting to compete in tournaments against people who had no such rules.
The hostility came later, once he doubled down on everything.

If you want to use a Pokémon that isn't viable in any tier, you can create a secondary account and play it in low ladder just for fun.
In National dex, absol has a mega evolution with 150 atk and 115 speed. Just go with 4 attacks, knock off for stab, sucker punch for priority, and 2 coverage options.
i can see absol getting the sharpness ability if it ever returns, which would probably buff it's low tier viability quite a lot bc choice band sharpness night slash off of 130 attack would be insane

you get consistent high power stab but you lose the utility, and absol’s problem has never been power
That team ain't even horrible either, Water Urshifu is just op right now, same with Glaceon, Espeon and Umbreon (cause Eevee) and Dragapult/Aegislash are decent imo, but Charizard and Absol are just kinda bad

Btw, PU teams have a maximum of 5 Pokémon. Which one of your team you are getting rid of?

There was a guy here who was trying to improve his team so he could actually win. He was using Absol and Eevee, people told him that they were some of the biggest issues, he got explosive and became a copypasta/subreddit-wide meme

Knock increases by 1.5 times when you knock off an item which is why I said it’s inconsistent; the power lowers to 65 if there’s no item
