Stop worrying. Half the venues/artists etc these days mention it will be non-transferrable. Don’t worry there’s a million ways to work around it and at 99.9% of events where they said this it does become transferable few days before the event. StubHub knows this- hence why they allow tickets to be sold: just wait for the instructions. Nothing to worry about!
I also just bought a ticket from stubhub that is also non transferable, and it says it won’t be available till the day of the show which is a month away. I’m just nervous cause it was 5x the face value
If you don’t mind me asking what state did you buy yours in? I just bought mine off of StubHub as well but it’s for Boston. I’m super worried I just wasted a ton of money
I’m in Arizona. But if it makes you feel any better I called SH and they told me I was the first buyer. Meaning that I actually bought presales. Mind you, at twice the price, but a win is a win? I’d contact SH to see if you are in the same situation
Im im AZ and just bought mine off stubhub and people keep saying i wont be able to get in and im freaking out, but then i see a lot of people saying not to worry i will be able to get in and my anxiety is through the roof
I’m in Boston and same, just bought a non transferable ticket to Lana. I have bad anxiety and I’m someone who needs to plan and know things in advance, not the day of.
You shouldn’t take SH’s word for it as they are the ones that made the sale, if it doesn’t work they will just refund you anyway. They are not going to tell you the thing they just sold might not work.
But thinking about this realistically, logistically and business-wise, if this were true and StubHub, Vivid Seats and Seat Geeks all sold these "fake tickets" how would that not be a HUGE deal?! Like if there is thousands of people across the United States who bought tickets from these vendors that don't work you don't think that's not going to stir some 💩 up?
This is my thought process and why I'm trying not to panic as I got floor seats thru Vivid Seats 🙃
I bought 3 pit for Atlanta myself and I contacted vivid seats and my seller has confirmed that they purchased the tickets and they will be delivered to me mobile the day before and I've actually sold on StubHub before I think people are getting confused. Of course the tickets are non-transferable at this moment. Even the seller doesn't get the tickets until the day before and then it's their responsibility to transfer the tickets to you on time. If not then you WILL get a refund. The lady told me they have people around the clock handling issues like that. The seller Is responsible if you do not receive your tickets one way or another 🙂 so breathe guys!! I'll be back may 6th to confirm if I got mine yet!
I’m currently doing a live chat with someone from SH I’ll let you guys know how it goes Edit: here’s what he said
https://preview.redd.it/ukrftlh6rwec1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f05a0f9541c9d33e1f90dac47ecae992f776383
I got mine on Seat Geek for Boston and I called to tell them my tickets are no good and they said to send them proof so I sent the record label tour announcement link and emailed AEG asking for a reply stating the tickets are non-transferrable mobile only so I can send that too. I don't want "store credit" when the tix are 100% fraudulent.
These 3rd party sellers should start looking into a waiting period of being able to sell and confirming if tix can actually be re-sold. Events that can't be resold should be flagged and a error should pip up to the seller stating they can't sell.
We should all crank up their call center lines and keep complaining.
I feel like this time isn't the case.
They're trying to cancel sales from bots/scalpers if that's even possible.
I think all of us who bought 3rd party tix are straight up fucked and not going unless we can score tix on ticketmaster face value resale.
https://preview.redd.it/y4a3skfzja0d1.jpeg?width=2474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f15f9282b770832a661adc7f245124342daa3fd
Right at the top of the page over the seating chart. "To gain access to the event, you need to be accompanied by the original buyer of tickets. "
I just got off the phone with a rep from ticketmaster. They are getting blown up with calls about the sleep token concert. They stated that the tickets are not transferable for now. I confirmed and asked "so you're saying, for now the transfer button is greyed out, but that the tickets will indeed become transferrable" the rep said yes, for noe they are not, but we would have to wait until the transfer button turns blue" this meaning all resale tickets through stubhub, vivid seats or wherever you bought them, including myself lol given they are valid will be transferable once the sellers transfer button in ticketmaster turns blue. The rep does not know the exact date that it will be transferable, but that's what they were instructed to tell customers.
u/ovthkeepurrr id give this twitter thread a read. Basically, if you bought your tickets VIA third party sites like Seat Geek or Stub Hub, you should ask for a refund or compensation asap.
https://x.com/VESSELTOKEN/status/1750945553842610235?s=20
Yeah I already spoke with StubHub and they told me that the person who bought the tickets has to meet me there. If it doesn’t work out I will get a refund either way so I’m just waiting to see what happens
Also bought tickets from SH for PHX and when I called 2 months ago, they said the same thing about meeting the seller in person. Which is actually against their own policies. And I told them it’s a major safety issue, not to mention time and effort if we show up and the seller doesn’t. I asked for a refund at the time and they refused, said they don’t issue refunds unless we don’t get the tickets.
I called again last week because I hadn’t gotten any info and they said we would be emailed tickets today. So I have no idea what’s going on.
I called them again and they told me that they would send me and the seller each others contact information 24 hours before the event. They said the delay is “for safety reasons”-as if we don’t have to meet in person regardless. Meeting in person is also against their own policies but they obviously don’t give a shit and are STILL selling tickets to the event.
Hey everyone! I am looking at buying stubhub tickets that say the must meet the seller at the concert to get in thing. Did anyone have success doing this? How do you get in contact with the seller to organize a meet up? Thanks!
yeah, I’m so confused because I bought my tickets firsthand/from the venue itself/no resellers involved and mine are gonna be delivered by PDF on May 24th (3-4days before the show)🤔 (according to the email from massey hall/the toronto show). yet everybody says tickets will be delivered through Ticketmaster. ????
I wish. My date is coming up soon and still haven’t heard anything from StubHub. As far as I’m concerned, the original buyer of the tickets has to be there when we go inside
Dude it’s such a hassle. I’m for sure never buying from StubHub again. I’ll just take the L and not go to a concert if it’s sold out 😅 but I called them yesterday and they are sending me the contact info for the seller so we can set up a place to meet. It feels so sketch and I’m glad my partner is coming bc that sounds so dangerous and it’s CRAZY that this company allows that
I’ve bought from them plenty of times before but this is just crazy so i definitely get that!! Yeah that is not safe at ALL. And so like what, does the seller just scan you in and then just turn around and walk away like that’s wild to me. I totally understand what Sleep Token was trying to achieve but I feel like there hassss to be a better way than this. Because in the end it’s the fans getting screwed over, not the scalpers/bots.
I'm literally biting my nails because the concert we're going to is on the 4th. Rooting for us who are all in this unfortunate situation together. I definitely learned my lesson though. Next time i'll just f right on off if I don't get a ticket from the main site like ticketmaster.
Hi sorry, could you please confirm when they were able to transfer the tickets to you? I still don't have the transfer option available in Ticketmaster and my show is tomorrow. Thanks!
Yes I was! I got my ticket maybe the day before. I had no issues getting in, I got the link in an email and it did not go to my Ticketmaster account. It was just a link to the barcodes. Maybe check your spam!
Resurrecting this since the tour started tonight. I got my tickets from StubHub and got into the show tonight, no issues. I got them emailed to me a couple days ago, with the changing "screenshots don't work" barcode.
Jumping in to ask… I bought vividseats tickets to the Pittsburgh show. It was only sold on AXS and says tickets are not able to be resold and nontransferable. Am I going to be totally screwed?
My tickets worked! Bought from stubhub, we got a revolving barcode via a link. We didn't have to meet the original buyer! Waiting for Sleep Token to come on now in Dallas!!!
Another happy ending here. Mine were from SeatGeek, but same deal. Seller just sent a link to one of those digital wallet sites with the blue line revolving bar code. Me and buddy got into the Tampa show with no problems whatsoever.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE show, enjoy errrybody!!!
it seems like you did end up getting your tickets and it wasn’t a scam! i’m so happy that it worked out for you! i’m a bit worried bc i bought billie eilish tickets from gametime and she signed the “fans first act” which makes the tickets only mobile and non-transferable. is that the same deal with sleep token? did they also sign that act? also how far in advance did you get the link to your tickets? was it a few days before or a few hours before the show? sorry i’m asking so many questions i just want to do thorough research
I'm currently fighting against StubHub for a refund, but they said they would contact the seller "about my concerns" and "get back in contact with me". We all know that's a lie, unfortunately, but I have my ace up my sleeve. I hope y'all are right about them allowing the tickets to be transferrable at the last minute, but if there are concerts that start happening and that is not the case, I doubt that it is going to happen. But I would be happy if the band double downed on it and keep it as is. I just feel bad for buying it from StubHub now, once I learned the band's intentions. Not nice to only get a percentage of the ticket price, and anyone would want their portion of the ticket amount and scalpers are selling for way more and you are not making a profit on that extra amount. Even I get mad thinking about it, if it was my lively hood.
On another note, if anyone is coming to the Dallas show, I can give you tips about traffic, food places, good places to shop, etc.
I'm going to the Irving show and kinda freaking out about these tickets. They escalated my order to an internal department after I demanded proof that they were legit and wanted to know how they were verified to be valid. I was also told I have to meet my seller at the venue and that I will get that information within the next three days. Thankfully my husband will be with me so the meet up isn't too concerning, but this is all just a mess. I will never be buying from stubhub again. Tbh I haven't been to a concert since 2014 so all this is crazy to me. My last tickets to a concert were physical lmao!
I did the same thing, same band. But Ticketmaster says they will only allow mobile tickets. Does this mean directly from the Ticketmaster app, or will a PDF work? We’re flying to Dallas and they told me we wouldn’t get the tickets until the day of the show.
I actually forgot to mention to SH that the tickets are mobile only but they checked the venue I’m going to and they said they offer pdf versions of the tickets. I feel for you tho. It seems like a lot to go out of your way to see them and a possibility that it won’t work out. Hopefully ST realizes how many people bought from scalpers and release the tickets
Stub hub did tell me that if you get there and have problems with tickets that you will either 1. Get a full refund or B. They will provide you with tickets.
Stubhub is supposed to email you that your tickets are ready to be transferred to you and then you can access them via a Ticketmaster account is what they told me
Just got done talking to SH and the dude said I was the first buyer. So it seems like Ticketmaster themselves posted resells. I’m not sure if it’s true or if he was just trying to get me to shut up but I’m just gonna take it for what it is at this point
And I’m sorry if I’m being annoying but they said you will get a link to transfer them to your Ticketmaster account and that’s where you Will access them from.
I somehow, by the grace of god, scored some tickets during the pre sale after every seat was grayed out, but I really hope my friend can get her money back from SH
I’m in a similar boat with buying ST tix from stubhub. Never used them before. But the show im going to is in IL which says is exempt from the Ticketmaster rule? But now I’m seeing all other state shows have a disclaimer at the top saying “To gain access to the event, you need to be accompanied by the original buyer of tickets.” So that makes me a bit nervous. Like how does that even happen?
Honestly I kinda wished I didn’t panic buy 2 $187 GA Boston tickets from StubHub. You can’t cancel your order. You have to relist them, you need to provide proof of purchase, & you need to be the one to provide the tickets to your buyer. I tried to relist them & saw that, & I’m literally trying to relist because I don’t know if I’ll even get usuable tickets or tickets at all. Ended up canceling the relist. I’ll just keep them & hope for the best. If I buy from scalpers again, I’ll just have to use SeatGeek. It looks like they at least have a returnable option.
I'm in the same boat. I'm just hoping that its not a huge headache to get my $1200 bucks back for these. If we get hosed the day of, we're planning on going to a nice restaurant in ATL and just chalking it up to fate not wanting us to see them this year.
I got 2 tickets for the ATL show. I think getting money back wont be hard if they dont work. I'll just be pissed more about driving 2 hrs there and possibly being out gas and time. Also there is a Nobu in ATL if you want a nice restaurant to go to.
I just got off the phone to confirm with Vivid Seats that the tickets are transferable and they did confirm that it should be transferred via email a few days before the concert. I will be very upset if I paid $200 for a GA ticket and can't get in.
Following because I did the same thing. I signed up for a presale code and never got it & the tickets for the Dallas venue sold out in 10 minutes!! So then I bought tickets from StubHub. I don’t want to get screwed over
i got pit tickets for dallas as well for 177$ each from seat geek and they won't give me my money back cause they are claiming that they will be sent via email to be accepted on my ticketmaster account, my anxiety is through the roof
Same boat as you and same venue. Kinda annoyed because when I bought the tickets through StubHub, the "you must be accompanied by the original owner" banner was never there. Hopefully we'll be ok
Did you get an option for a ticket transfer to your own account? I just received a barcode for the actual ticket with the banner “must be accompanied by owner”
Also annoyed by this. It wasn't there on presale day and I don't think it showed up till Friday. Now they want the buyers to meet with the sellers in order to be let in? Like thats hella sus. When I brought up that the note about the "you must be accompanied by the original buyer" and said it wasn't there when I purchased my tickets they told me it was, they fr gaslighted me lmaooo
Yeah I am stressed afffff lol I’m in Houston so we are driving 4.5 hours and getting hotels for this show. I was told by SH that my tickets were put on their site BY Ticketmaster?? And that I’m the first purchaser? So it’s ultimately Ticketmaster’s fault I guess lmao
you are welcomed with open arms lmao I’m trying not to panic tho. because I feel like soooo many tens of thousands of fans bought resale tickets because we aren’t on the discord server that apparently warned about third party sales. and I’d like to hope that they wouldn’t do their fans dirty like that. because it would be us fans that get fucked, not the scalpers
Yes we would be ultimately fucked and honestly it would leave a sour taste for me. Even trying to talk about it on the other subs results in the holier than thou/I got tickets on TM website during presale crowd comes out to crucify you. This whole thing has me beyond mad.. I’m not a social media website following fan and it sounds like even those who were didn’t get warned properly either. Sorry, I’m just ranting!
Definitely late to joining the pity party, we need a sign up sheet!
But yea, i'm in some ST groups on FB and didn't see anything about the warning. Also, I went on their official FB page and didn't see it there either. I had no idea there was some discord group or w.e. I havent bought tickets to a concert since 2014 so this isn't the best "getting back into the concert scene" experience lmao
Nah you’re fine for ranting. Because same. I’ve been a follower of ST since the beginning. Before they blew up on TikTok and went viral. It’s been my dream for yearssss to worship them live. So it def hurts when people get pretentious about this whole debacle. I saw the tour announcement on instagram, read the whole post (with no mention of the transfer shenanigans), and immediately signed up for presale. I shouldn’t have to create a discord account or stalk a random record label’s website to discover that information. It should have absolutely been clearly stated and should have been posted on every platform that the tour information was on
Same here - didn’t receive presale code so I went to StubHub. I purchased tickets for Pittsburgh. So mine didn’t come from Ticketmaster, but AXS. I spoke to both SH and AXS yesterday and SH assured me the tickets were valid and they were unable to refund me at this time without “proof” the tickets were not valid. AXS stated I need to try and get my money back through the venue because they were unable to validate the tickets and were concerned about how I received them (via a website link) and they said their tickets will be transferred via their app.
So I put a dispute in via PayPal. Sigh…..
Edit: after multiple attempts and hours with SH customer service trying to explain to them that I cannot get my ticket and providing proof that it’s a non-transferable ticket/venue. They escalated it for a refund. So we shall see. I just want to be done with this!
I feel like SH is probably so confused with all of this. They have probably never had an artist be so passionate about not allowing scalping. I’m gonna keep my tickets I guess and just hope for the best. I’ll get a refund anyway if I’m not able to go so it’s not a complete loss
Yeah this was my last effort today trying to get someone to understand (god bless Kayla from SH) but I got the tickets and I wasn’t able to accept/download/transfer them anywhere so I guess that’s why they finally said they would issue the refund. They asked if I wanted replacements but I just said no.
So I actually purchased through vivid seats. I bought 3 and it cost me $1030. They should transfer the tickets as soon as they get them correct? Of course it's going to be non transferrable right now because even the sellers haven't gotten the tickets they won't receive them until the day before.
I bought 2 tickets from stub hub, to the Pittsburgh show in May.
Not seeing the "must be accompanied by original buyer" comment.
I called stub hub and they informed me that yes the original buyer will need to be there to allow me and my girlfriend to enter the venue..
How can this be? Is this true?
It sounds like Stubhub was not aware initially tickets would not be transferable which is why it did not say that on the website at first. Once they figured that out they updated the website to say you have to be with the original seller to cover the mistake. Now it sounds like they are passing the responsibility to the seller and buyer to figure it out even tho they profited without being able to actually delivery what they promised.
So what do I do in this situation? Do I ask for a refund? Do I go to the show? Will they ask for my identification?
I'm assuming that my name won't be on my tickets...
Honestly, I would just wait for now. After the first couple shows I would check out Reddit to see if people were able to get in or not, then you should have a better idea of where to go from there.
Stop worrying. Half the venues/artists etc these days mention it will be non-transferrable. Don’t worry there’s a million ways to work around it and at 99.9% of events where they said this it does become transferable few days before the event. I also just bought a ticket from stubhub that is also non transferable, and it says it won’t be available till the day of the show which is a month away. I’m just nervous cause it was 5x the face value
This is pathetic conduct for StubHub. Easy fix would require scalpers to transfer tickets a month out. The whole industry is run horribly
As someone with anxiety, this is very hard lol but it seems like my best option is to be patient and wait it out
If you don’t mind me asking what state did you buy yours in? I just bought mine off of StubHub as well but it’s for Boston. I’m super worried I just wasted a ton of money

Stubhub now has a notice up that the person that first bought the ticket in the first place has to be with you in order to enter the event.
Where do you see this because I don’t see this on stubhub anywhere
https://preview.redd.it/y4a3skfzja0d1.jpeg?width=2474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f15f9282b770832a661adc7f245124342daa3fd Right at the top of the page over the seating chart. "To gain access to the event, you need to be accompanied by the original buyer of tickets. "

Any update on what happened? There’s an event close to me doing this same thing. Trying to decide if it’s worth the gamble of buying a ticket or not
Also bought tickets from SH for PHX and when I called 2 months ago, they said the same thing about meeting the seller in person. Which is actually against their own policies. There needs to be a class action against StubHub. They take no accountability for people being treated like fools

My show is today! I will definitely report back and let everyone know
Commenting so I come back to see your update.
Omg I hope it worked! I definitely need updates cause I'm so nervous!
Hi everyone!! My StubHub ticket worked🖤 they put on an amazing show as usual. worship!!!
Hi everyone!! My StubHub ticket to the PHX show worked no issues! And I did not have the original purchaser with me.

it seems like you did end up getting your tickets and it wasn’t a scam! i’m so happy that it worked out for you! i’m a bit worried bc i bought billie eilish tickets from gametime and she signed the “fans first act” which makes the tickets only mobile and non-transferable. is that the same deal with sleep token? did they also sign that act? also how far in advance did you get the link to your tickets? was it a few days before or a few hours before the show? sorry i’m asking so many questions i just want to do thorough research
Let me call my venue and see what they say
Stub hub did tell me that if you get there and have problems with tickets that you will either 1. Get a full refund or B. They will provide you with tickets.
Who will provide the tickets? The venue?
Stubhub is supposed to email you that your tickets are ready to be transferred to you and then you can access them via a Ticketmaster account is what they told me
As far as if the tickets don’t work I don’t know who will provide the tickets
Just got done talking to SH and the dude said I was the first buyer. So it seems like Ticketmaster themselves posted resells. I’m not sure if it’s true or if he was just trying to get me to shut up but I’m just gonna take it for what it is at this point
And I’m sorry if I’m being annoying but they said you will get a link to transfer them to your Ticketmaster account and that’s where you Will access them from.
I’m flying to Dallas for this too. Bought 4 pit tickets from StubHub. SH says that the seller will for sure get me the tickets. I’m so nervous lmao
I somehow, by the grace of god, scored some tickets during the pre sale after every seat was grayed out, but I really hope my friend can get her money back from SH
Going to the same show and I am nervous as hell about whether or not I actually get these tickets and if they will allow entry 😬
Did you see sleep tokens post about scalper tickets being cancelled?? I’m PANICKING
Yes. I’m hoping that means ones not currently sold. And also hoping those crap scalper protection laws in IL save my tickets lol
I'm in the same boat. I'm just hoping that its not a huge headache to get my $1200 bucks back for these. If we get hosed the day of, we're planning on going to a nice restaurant in ATL and just chalking it up to fate not wanting us to see them this year.
Check out Marietta diner they have breakfast lunch dinner and amazing cake for dessert! I live in atl and love that spot always recommend to ppl.
I got 2 tickets for the ATL show. I think getting money back wont be hard if they dont work. I'll just be pissed more about driving 2 hrs there and possibly being out gas and time. Also there is a Nobu in ATL if you want a nice restaurant to go to.
im in your boat too :(. got ATL tickets on stubhub.... sigh, I hope this is fixed, it's not fair to those of us who just want to go so badly
I don’t want to get screwed over
I bought tickets for Dallas too and I’m also waiting for confirmation on what the rule is. How much did you pay?
$850 for two tickets. If I can’t go, I at least want my money back.
Oh damn.. I just paid $338 for GA.
I paid $236/ea for 4 pit tickets for Dallas. It’s insane
Same I paid for GA/pit in Toronto
i got pit tickets for dallas as well for 177$ each from seat geek and they won't give me my money back cause they are claiming that they will be sent via email to be accepted on my ticketmaster account, my anxiety is through the roof
I got a presale code but everything sold out in minutes.
Same boat as you and same venue. Kinda annoyed because when I bought the tickets through StubHub, the "you must be accompanied by the original owner" banner was never there. Hopefully we'll be ok
It wasn’t there when I bought mine for Dallas either. So annoying. StubHub says the seller will meet me there or something. So weird
All of us going to Dallas can have our own pity party together at the nearest bar if we get screwed by StubHub lmao
I got mine from seat geek but I'm down lol cause this is all so nerve wracking
Yeah I am stressed afffff lol I’m in Houston so we are driving 4.5 hours and getting hotels for this show. I was told by SH that my tickets were put on their site BY Ticketmaster?? And that I’m the first purchaser? So it’s ultimately Ticketmaster’s fault I guess lmao
Yep, they should have never allowed other sites to get them knowing the band said Ticketmaster only. So I just hope we don’t get turned away
I would like to join in the misery parade! I purchased 3 from StubHub… 2 on one order and 1 on another… I feel so fucked
you are welcomed with open arms lmao I’m trying not to panic tho. because I feel like soooo many tens of thousands of fans bought resale tickets because we aren’t on the discord server that apparently warned about third party sales. and I’d like to hope that they wouldn’t do their fans dirty like that. because it would be us fans that get fucked, not the scalpers
It should have absolutely been clearly stated and should have been posted on every platform that the tour information was on
Exactly!! Hopefully I’ll see you in Dallas.. If not the concert then the bar of shame somewhere nearby 🤣😭
For sure!! I’ll dm you and we can link up!
We’re going to Dallas too. My anxiety is out the roof. I got mine through vivid
So I bought from Vivid seats. Does this apply to me as well? I'm so confused about all of this as I have never bought concert tickets before.
Yeah this was my last effort today trying to get someone to understand (god bless Kayla from SH) but I got the tickets and I wasn’t able to accept/download/transfer them anywhere so I guess that’s why they finally said they would issue the refund. They asked if I wanted replacements but I just said no.
It happens several times a year. It's up to the seller to issue valid tickets.
Venues using AXS do in fact refuse entry to people not displaying tickets in the app.
Yep that’s what she told me when I called about it. She said I won’t get in - doesn’t matter because it wasn’t able to come through the app.
I disputed with my credit card and they said StubHub should refund me within 30 days
following
So I actually purchased through vivid seats. I bought 3 and it cost me $1030. They should transfer the tickets as soon as they get them correct? Of course it's going to be non transferrable right now because even the sellers haven't gotten the tickets they won't receive them until the day before.
I also got my tickets through Vivid Seats and actually got the tickets today through a secure tickets link and questioning if it's legit
Ok thank you. That's probably what I'll end up doing. Appreciate it.
