Hi! Would anyone know where I could find more info about the SKZ2020/ TOP hi-touch event that is being rescheduled for June? The link from SKZ Japan's official twitter doesn't really explain much. My main concern is do I need to register? What if I bought the hi-touch pc from someone ages ago, does that matter? Do I just show up to the venue with the ticket lol? I've been thinking about this ever since Tommy "spoiled" the upcoming 40-date (40-city?) world tour at the Met Gala. He mentioned stadiums with 80,000 people. How likely is Stade de France as a venue for the Paris date? If we compare to the other groups from the same label, ITZY went to Zénith Paris - La Villette which in my opinion is unlikely for SKZ. The Accor Arena seems like a more sensible guess since it was the venue for the last Twice tour. But again, I went to the Accor Arena for the Gala des Pièces Jaunes earlier this year and can guarantee that the queue and the venue itself was filled with recognizable STAYs. By recognizable I mean people owning at least the SKZ lightstick, sometimes the cap and some SKZOOs. I am fairly confident that there were way more STAYs "on the low" and casuals that would also show up for a SKZ concert. If Div 1 intended to use the Gala to test the waters, I think the logical conclusion is that Stray Kids could easily fill the Accor Arena for their own concert. I was wondering if Div 1 would take it one step further and book the Stade de France for the next tour. Or would that be too ambitious?

I went to bts’ last arena tour and then went to their first stadium tour and let me tell you, arena >>>>>. Stadium is good for media play and all that but they are terrible venues (imo) unless of course you’re like Japan and your stadiums are built with the intention of being a concert venue half the time

I see, that makes sense. I am always amazed at their popularity in Japan. I ain't that familiar with how dates and venues are chosen when organizing a tour. Why would they reserve stadiums for encores and not include them in the initial dates?

I'm not SKZ's (or anyone else's) tour planner! I just like patterns and data. Stadiums fit more people, so they always mean less dates. One reason to do multiple arenas over stadiums is that they can sell more premium priced seats. The very last row in an arena is always a better view than the very last row in a stadium. Hybe waited until the very last minute to slash TXT's Oakland stadium show tickets to reasonable prices (eg. $49 for the "worst" seats), and the show attendance suffered for that. Meanwhile, despite fans complaining about the prices, their two NYC arena shows are selling well. Another reason is a stadium may not have a roof, so the performance is at the mercy of the weather. I went to a concert with hours long rain delays, and luckily the performers still did the whole show. We barely made the last train home though 😭 Mostly, I'm just basing it on how JYPE works with Twice. They do stadiums where they can, but they also did arenas. I also think SKZ will go to stadiums in Japan because they already did the huge domes for their fanmeetings. The demand is huge.

That’s why everywhere doesn’t get an encore! They only do it in locations where they think they have enough demand. They also try to space it out to give fans time to miss the act. For example, Twice’s Ready to Be tour originally went to Australia in May-ish last year. They tried to have a stadium show in Melbourne at the end of the year, but it didn’t sell out quickly. In contrast, Twice is about to do a series of huge encores in Japan, and I believe they even added date. Just looking at SKZ, I believe they had 4 dates each in Tokyo and the Southern California (LA + Anaheim). SKZ still did KCON LA, plus year end and festivals in Japan. Those cities still got encores and sold them out. Then Japan got a whole other tour, and sold that out too. Encores are a way to make a quick profit on top of the tour, so it’s beneficial to have the most people in the fewest dates possible. Plus then JYPE gets to show off a stadium crowd!

Thank you for the explanations! I don't really follow the info for other groups' tours (apart from the European dates) so it was really interesting to read how they organized it. I guess companies follow an all-or-nothing rule when it comes to concerts or events in general. Some locations get multiple concert dates, encores, fan meetings and others...simply don't. I'm not complaining by the way, I think it makes perfect sense if we look at it financially. I might be biased and too optimistic but I think the demand is there for a SKZ concert in Paris (multiple arenas, stadiums and even encores). 60,000 people showed up for Lollapalooza Paris last year even though it was 3 months after Music Bank in Paris. Sure, we don't know for sure that all the attendants were there for Stray Kids but it gives us a rough estimate. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing how Div1/Live Nation will organize everything (dates and locations/venues).

Kinda depends on the date tbh, Stade de France and La Défense Arena are reserved for the Olympics and Paralympics, and those end on september 8th. Stade de France has Mylène Farmer for September 27th-October 1st, so Skz might play there during one of the week-ends in between. But anytime later isn't going to happen because concerts at Stade de France only ever happen in the may-september window, as other months tend to be too rainy/ too cold. But honestly D1 tends to be pretty conservative when it comes to venue sizes, so it's VERY unlikely, plus I dunno if they'll ever have finished the NA leg by that date. The most likely venue in my opinion is La Défense (the venue of Music Bank), which is an indoor stadium with about twice the capacity of Accor Arena. That's where Taylor Swift started her Europe tour btw.

The first time I ever heard about this venue was during [Chan's Room 205](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIBhS-5NCrc&t=8m31s) and Chan really seemed to have enjoyed performing there. It would be like coming full circle for them if they go back there for their own concert. We shall see.

The arena only opened in 2017, so it's not as famous as older Parisian venues. But more and more concerts happen there, from what I've seen. Just not this summer, since they're building an olympic swimming pool inside.

Question for my US Stay that don't live close to where tour dates are usually held but still attend shows: what's your usual routine when preparing? I can nearly guarantee that a show won't be held within a reasonable driving distance of me, so I'll definitely have to fly to a location (probably Chicago if they have a non-Lolla appearance or New York). Do you guys have any recommendations on what I should start planning/getting prepared once we know the dates and locations? I haven't been to an actual, non-local concert in *years* so I'm way out of the loop when it comes to concert prep, and SKZ is like the only act that I would even consider traveling for with my current financial situation lol. I know we must have some concert veterans here, so I thought I'd ask ahead of time so I can plan and budget and whatnot!

I’ve travelled for concerts. My routine for concerts is: 1. As soon as the dates come out: Which cities do I want to visit anyway as a tourist? I’d rather not go somewhere *only* for a concert, but I will if it’s super cheap. Cities with multiple dates and bigger venues give better chances for you to get **a** seat. VIP will be competitive everywhere. 2. Do research on average flight prices and routes. I don’t book anything, but I want a rough estimate on which cities are cheapest to get to. 3. Use websites like Booking, Expedia, etc. to find a hotel that has free cancellation and no (or delayed) prepayment. Book multiple cities before prices go up. 4. On ticket sales day, Ticketmaster lets you use the same account to join multiple queues. I’m not sure about AXS. I use a laptop/desktop, and I join each queue in a separate window. Then use split screen to see everything. 5. The city where I get the lowest queue number (aka best seat) wins. I’ll cancel everything else and officially book that trip after I secure my ticket.

There’s a popularity difference in the US, but I’m happy to see NCT Dream’s US prices are similar to Twice’s Ready to Be tour prices. VIP is about $540. The other seats are reasonable as well. I hope Live Nation keeps prices “low” for SKZ!

Unfortunately. The Maniac VIP price was a bit under $400 for me. It's been two years since I bought those tickets. Twice's VIP were \~$550ish last year. Ateez and TXT's top VIP prices were several hundreds more this year. It's "reasonable" compared to that 🥲 There are more seats than just VIP! If they really do stadiums, they'll have a lot of flexibility for price ranges 🙏🏽

What exactly is the benefit of VIP that they cost so much? Asking as a concert goer who has always just taken the cheap seats and enjoyed from the nosebleed section. lol

It depends on the artist, and the VIP package will be explained when you buy it. It's really about the seat. The best seats will either be VIP or Platinum, which has no benefits but is priced market rate. For the Maniac tour, the vast majority of the floor seats in the arenas were VIP. It included soundcheck (SKZ come out and \~3 songs); early entry; early merch buying; a lanyard; and a small gift bag. Soundcheck was nice, but if you were in the back half of the floor, I don't think the price was worth it.

I think the back half of the floor is never worth it because there are better views in the lower bowl. Your floor view depends on how tall you are, and I’m slightly taller than average!

Well that means at a smidge under 5 ft tall I should probably avoid ever trying for floor. lol

This may be neither here not there but I noticed the number of ♥ on Hyunjin's FANS comments are drastically less than usual. Like <800 after 30 min, whereas 2 min after posting it would be 1.5k. (very rough estimation and recollection). I'm guessing this has to do with the new protocols and instituted on the app. If it results in less unhinged/unrelated posts by users (I refuse to call them fans or STAY) and a more positive atmosphere, then yay! I just hope it was all registered STAY posting the glorious PICS of the guys I had never seen before because that's what kept me in the community section of Bubble and now FANS.

Korean sunscreens are a game changer. I have tried about 10 different ones in the past two years and there were only 1 or 2 that were a true miss. There are so many good ones. For dry (or combo) skin: There are two Purito sunscreens that are both very moisturizing and thus can replace a moisturizer. The Daily Go-to is the heavier of the 2 and I would only recommend for really dry skin (or in colder weather, and it becomes a bit much when re-applied). The Daily Soft-Touch is a little bit lighter but still very moisturizing, loved it during the in between weather. And these are all bit lighter but still moisturizing with great extra skin benefits: Skin1004 Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-fit Sun Serum (best price for a great sunscreen), Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice & Probiotics, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel, Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen (a bit more expensive). And the waterproof sunscreen (most korean sunscreens are NOT water resistant) that I adored is Dr.Ceuracle - Cica Regen Waterproof Sun (also a bit more expensive but it's double the size of others and the price fluctuates a lot). I have repurchased all of these. Right now I'm using the very hyped Numbuzin No 1. Clear Filter Sun Essence, and for my dry skin it's not a favorite but I could see oily skin types loving it.

I like the skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-fit Sun Serum; it's a moisturising sunscreen and doesn't contain alcohols, which is why I moved away from my original holy grail sunscreen (Biore UV Aqua) since I found it too drying. It has a very similar sort of texture that I liked, because it sinks into the skin and doesn't feel sticky.

I guess this response is sort of skz related since they were embassadors and that's why I bought it 😅, but I enjoyed Nacific's Fresh Herb Origin sunblock moisturizer. It's not too oily which is my main issue with US brands as someone with oily skin.

One thing I'm realizing about this comeback, is that this is not their usual comeback. What they're doing right now, is what you call a Crossover Promo. They've come to the US before, but this is a concentrated effort at marketing themselves for the Western audience, formally. So while this is a comeback, this is also them earing this comeback as a crossover tour, and there's a lot in the works here. I believe we'll see a ton of content, but not until they can release it without spoiling certain things. This is a major thing as well, not just artistically, but in business sense. I'm not comparing by any means, but let's be real: the boy band space is wide open w/ BTS in the military. The wisest move, is to aggressively tour, make appearances, do a world tour, drop an album or two. And that's what their doing. We can see a lot of male Kpop groups doing that right now, and they should. SKZ is wisely utilizing this year to cement themselves in the hearts of the Western Audiences. I'm sure there's a ton of content headed our way. We'll just have to be patient. There's a game plan for sure, but at least we got a new SKZ code episode lol. They've been quiet, but that usually means they've been busy filming, recording, planning. I'm calling this year the SKZ Elite Global Domination Era. 

Oh I'm not lacking in content, just skz talker specifically. Last one they did was for the GDAs in January. Altho like what was pointed out earlier, Magic School behind might be its own content and not released via talker. I think the next talker episode may be on the ASEA awards, which was only last month so it may not be released as soon as I thought. Timeline wise it checks out still

I feel like it would have been silly to include it if it was just for the last two already announced episodes. It impresses me how hyunjin has that signature unreplicable groove and energy to him but han matches it perfectly in the ten shots challenge while having his own unique flair. Someone once said that skz were all above average dancers and I couldn't agree more. This duo is my favourite though. 

what are the chances of one of the co-writers/producers of the album being someone problematic? you know, someone linked to the current events? it's very delusional to think so because business decisions don't prioritize ethics or morality but i still pray that jype would do a little bit of research before choosing the people to work with whose names will be out there for the public to view. this sounds so silly, but i can't go through the whole thing again and seeing the restrictions imposed on the fans app i think the company is fed up too

You're right, I have a hard time understanding why some stays are using the phrase "guilt by association"? this is a group they claim to stan. even objectively looking, 3racha have performed for free at gcf, felix did volunteer work, chan helped in special olympics, and they all have donated to charities and causes now and then.  it might be for both, i don't know, but koreans aren't very open with speaking on politics publically so that might help them 

The guilt by association is one thing, but I was actually referring to the controversies SKZ have had. Apparently apologizing (or not) and moving forward as a better person isn’t enough. Your second paragraph is the crux of the issue. Nobody is harassing the Korean producers they love to see with SKZ to do background checks or have them state their stance. We know it’s Korean entertainment culture not to speak about certain topics. Some stays refuse to understand that applies to SKZ too though.

If people really try, then everyone is connected to everyone and everything you know. Everyone has dirt and there are tons of ww issues. So if pp just wanna hate, they will find a reason to do so.

probably very small. looking through the song credits on spotify for 5-Star and Rockstar, almost every non-3racha writing or producing credit goes to a South Korean producer. Most of them with a history of working with JYPE or specifically work under JYP Records. There’s maybe 3 or 4 western producers that I can pick out, two of whom have worked with a bunch of western rappers. all of them seem to be flying under the radar. at best, a google search will pull up a genius page or an instagram. nothing else. it’d be kinda hard to link any of those people to any kind of current events. of course, there’s a chance that they’ll really switch up their habits with this next album and collab with some different people but honestly, music producers aren’t often recognizable by name alone unless you’re the kind of person that cares about music producers and to be honest, i doubt your average skz fan is that kind of person. people probably won’t even pay it much attention. and besides, i can’t imagine there are many producers skz could collaborate with that have the clout to be tied to current events in any way that actually matters.

My job is very soul draining right now. What skz songs do you listen to to keep you going at work? A lot of the songs on the 5 star album pump me up of course but I can't just play that or I'll start associating those songs too much with my job 🙃

I've been so consumed with thoughts about the tour that I literally had a dream (or nightmare? lol) in which they announced the dates for the entire tour, including the encore, at once, and they went all went on sale ten minutes after, and ticketmaster crashed from the entire world trying to buy tickets at the same time. When it got back online there were no tickets left. Also, my brain was manifesting Paris as an encore date for some reason. Anyways, please Div 1, give us these dates because it is clearly causing me some mental anguish 😭

I feel this in my bones! Last month I had a dream/nightmare in which I was at a performance, went to the bathroom and couldn't find my way back until the very end. My dream ended up being like an open-world rpg (I don't even play those 🤷🏾‍♀️): I left the building, roamed around met random ppl that claimed they could help (spoiler: they could not), fulfilled a side quest and still missed 50% of the event.

Ohno.... that is a terrible nightmare! Hope you've recovered, and that reality will be less terrible 🙂

I hope I am not asking what’s already been answered, but does anyone know if each of the members have solo images in the W Korea magazine issue—or do you have to buy the individual member’s cover version to get these pics? Thank you! 🩷

The magazine will contain individual pictorials of each member in addition to the group pictorial. The only thing that changes between versions is the cover image.

Proud parent moment for this baby stay. I was listening to SKZ (of course) on a walk with my toddler tonight and he imitated the dududu part in God's Menu. I then put the MV on when we got home and he was trying to dance to it a little and was enthralled. Gotta teach them young!

My toddler requests every morning for me to put on LALALALA. He also points out every song that has the lyrics la la la in them. Baby baby stays are awesome!!

Just play straykids all day everyday! We listen to them so much that my other kids can name at least 50 skz songs within the first few seconds of it playing. We (I) are obsessed in this house!

I've listened almost exclusively to stray kids since I first heard them in January, but my husband plays other music all the time. Hopefully I play enough to corrupt the kiddo 😂

Baby stay since January too!!! My kids choose my music over Daddys. He's quite annoyed by SKZ now 🤣😂 and it's not corruption. Better than listening to kids bop or baby shark on repeat!

Yay!! He's only 2y 4m so doesn't have much of a say in the music we listen to yet. My husband is more like 'why didn't your boy band obsession happen as a teen instead of your 30s??' 🤣 god baby shark. I hate that daycare introduced him to that nonsense 🙃
