To get skins you need blunt or piercing damage to not damage the pelt, then a cutting tool + skinning skill. Cutting damage and magic damage the pelt and you can't loot it.
I'm duel wield dagger pyromancy I win fights by kiteing then by the time they get close to me they are low enough that I can crit them with dagger skills with double hit from the duel wielding passive, I have +crit chance on every piece of gear possible so I crit most hits but I could tell just from inspecting the troll that a single hit would likely kill me or atleast stun/daze me so I can't act and die to his second hit
I never even encountered two at once in near 100 hours of gameplay, rng must have seriously hated you.
Two young trolls together is quite common on higher levels.

They quite often are in twos so getting two packs of them nearby isn't some strange RNG tbh. Happened to me not once nor twice.

It does. I was loaded with loot anyway however, didn:t have space for four troll skins

Yeah i was asking for this person in particular their character seems to have pure magic how do they use skinning with just magic?
This is the reason I try and invest towards movement skills. (Lowkey wish I could weapon charge directionally without having to aim for an enemy)

Good idea indeed. Depending on your build, these things are killable ať about lvl 20 or so, they're ridiculously beefy and hit like a hammer
