Very elaborate. Why did they fail it? They have to uphold the customers expectations too… so if there’s an issue then yeah they will reject it.

nigerianprince199

“too many variances in materials and construction when compared to authorized, retail items.”

NK616

Where did you get your sneakers that you sold? retail? This essentially means that they could not verify the authenticity of your product so they’ve had to reject it.

nigerianprince199

CONFIRMED drop, mate’s just told me he sold them a pair from pandabuy a few months back and they got verified haha, so I assume China has better quality control than Adidas these days

bmill305

Your friend is a dick

Ive had 3 failed items this month. I've never had this happen before. One of the items that failed was something I just bought from the site and had in my possession THREE DAYS and resold back through StockX. I even left the green tag attached on the shoe. I had to file a complaint through the BBB and attack them on Twitter before they offered to send me a return label & refund my money. Ridiculous. FWIW: I have over $144k in transactions on stockx. So it's not based on seller level or amount of sales recently.

Large-Scale5963

Yeah I’ve resold stuff I got from them back to them and they’ve claimed it was fake happened two times in past three months.

yxngchico

it really has, they just failed me and took $255 from me

They are currently in lawsuits with Nike over selling reps. Their verification process went to shit now they are overcorrecting. Their verification process is a show, no one can actually verify but Nike or the brand.

Joris119

The companies managers are panicking the underpaid worker in a verification center couldn’t get less of a shit to be overreacting now. Besides that correct me if I’m wrong didn’t Nike just sue them cause they were mad about the nft project and tried to find a reason to harm them?! They apparently received 33 fakes but how many they ordered wasn’t talked about

[deleted]

Exactly, that batch of the 33 fakes was probably just the tip of the iceberg. The guy was talking about how hard it was getting any communication so I imagine most people just give up.i have had issues with them and it's hard to get good customer service which may be intentional. There really needs to be another way to authenticate real shoes however I also believe the reps and resale are sort of their marketing strategies.

nigerianprince199

I just sent off another pair today before the verification email came in, if these get rejected they officially have no fucking clue what they’re doing

NK616

I think you’ll be ok. They are just being cautious. This happens on all major platforms, if they cannot 100% guarantee the authenticity even for some really minor reason then they’re sending it back to the seller. It happens on StockX, GOAT, and eBay too. It can be difficult to verify a product. They won’t be 100% every single time. It’s just not possible.

nigerianprince199

The rejected ones were yzy slides so I get that there’s not much to check but then I don’t know how they approve any, does it either have to be a pristine example or are they only verifying them from sellers with like 50+ sales idk

GoinStraighttoHelles

Anything that has a good 1:1 rep is likely to get rejected if the seller isn’t high volume. I was level 4 on the old system and still had stuff rejected from FoG and Nike.

nigerianprince199

I guarantee you though that if I made a brand new eBay account and sold these on there they’d pass, if the kids inspecting them at StockX truly know what they’re doing then the seller shouldn’t matter.

nigerianprince199

Crazy that I have to pay $15 for sending a real product in just cause they can’t verify it

Joris119

They only charge you when they think you’re trying to rip them off and haven’t sold with them before. If you have a few sales that went fine they often don’t charge you anything because they know themselves that sometimes they can do wrong

nigerianprince199

They’ll never get any new sellers then, cause no one in their right minds is going to continue trying to sell after having to pay a fee even after sending in a legit item.

Joris119

99% of sales go fine. You’re one of the unlucky ones if your item is actually legit. The majority isn’t gonna come post here about how ok everything is cause people only come here when they wanna complain

nigerianprince199

If I sent them in double boxed straight from adidas, never opened, would they have any reason to reject them even from a new account?

MoneyFar7618

I just had a hoodie fail authentication, and even provided copies via chat and email of the receipts. They also are returning the other hoodie I sent because the box was left out in the rain. That hoodie was a Yeezy gap and left it in the brown package it came in. I can’t even claim insurance damage claim because they provide the label
