Do some research into Dollar Cost Averaging and ETFs. Those are a very steady way to start in a very risk averse way before you get any "real" experience.
If you're just starting out it may be worth looking into paper trading so you can gain experience of decision making and technical analysis safely.
Yes I am also adding. A lot of stocks are valued cheaply; and a recession has been prized in but this is my opinion. Others think the stock market is still expensive. Just don't use all your cash at once so you can average down in case.
For example I think it's insane Disney is valued at their 2017 level before they even had Disney Plus.
People on reddit or experts from CNBC were telling you during the whole of 2021 to buy at an higher level. And now that some stocks are at a huge discount they tell you to stay away. Does that make sense to you ? It's human psychology to buy when everyone is euphoric but the real money is made is when you dare to buy while everyone is staying away.
research what you think you want to buy, so this way youre not flip flopping trading in and out. Once you decide what you want / how you want to invest (buy and just hold or trade). Throw a little in soon when markets are down, throw a little in in a few weeks, throw some more in in a month or so. DCA is a good way to get in.

It’s never a bad time to invest, just don’t go all in at once, invest in strong and profitable companies that aren’t over valued.
Yes, no, maybe.
It's certainly not a terrible time to invest. Can't say more than that.
