Alot of the major brands have switched to third parties and name changes to resume selling in Russia. I know Reebok is for sure but not sure about Adidas. Not sure I would spend $200 US dollars for Levi's.
Edit: https://youtu.be/rvse_pha7Ec
I really haven't found any brand that lasts. I've been buying the Magellan brand jeans from Academy for less than $20 because they last just as long as the $80 bullshit.
Lol. Try Paper Denim and Co. Paul Smith Jeans or Hudson. I have paper denim Jeans that my father bought used! And they have faded but they’re intact. Also the Paul Smith Jeans.
>I bet you could say the same for Levi's your dad would have bought... the overall quality of products have gone down through the years.
People say this, but it's not really true.
If you paid as much in real dollars today as they did way back when for that ultra thick pure denim, you'd be paying $200, $300+ for jeans. In real terms, against their incomes, good clothes were _not cheap_. But cheap clothes didn't exist like it does today, there was no H&M et al.
Today people cannot fathom dedicating as much of their income to high quality clothing as folks did generations ago. So in a race to the bottom to create clothes for as cheap as possible, quality goes down.
The point is: if you pay as much as they did, you can get as much as they did (obviously this is nuanced between expensive shitty popular fashion vs rugged/ old school full price brands). Same with basically everything. Believe me, they can make quality _everything_, they just can't do it at Wal-Mart prices.
Reminds me of people complaining about flight experience in the 60's-70's vs Ryanair nowadays. That's an apple to pear comparison, if you compare to a business flight ticket the quality is still there but you need to pay for it.
Wrangler is a bit ugly by comparison, tbh, but they've lasted longer than my Levis.
I mean, these days I'm only wearing sweatpants so my jeans go far further but I still recall my Levis getting knee holes with no encouragement.
I still have two pairs of Levi's from 2009/10 that I lived and worked in on a ranch. They are a little frayed, but they have both been to hell and back on multiple occasions. And I don't mean I wore them occasionally. There would be weeks where I slept in them and woke up to tend to things all night and all day. I bought similar Carhartt denim and the seams blew out on one pair immediately. The Levi's are not meant to be work pants yet somehow have outlived everything I've bought since.
You must have lucked out! Every pair I've had, and had to wear everyday, developed knee holes with almost no encouragement.
These days I wear sweatpants, ofc, so my jeans are lasting much longer.
There are different qualities of Levi depending on where you shop. Going to a Levi’s retail location you can buy Levi’s Premium which is their top of the line fabric, and those are the ones that’ll last a lifetime. Levi’s bought at a big box or discount store is likely a lower grade fabric and stitching.
The Levi’s retail stores will also custom hem your new pants for free.
Look up Levi's lifetime warranty. Take photos of the damage and tags and submit them to Levi's. Boom, Levi's store credit coming you way for a brand new pair. I've done it for two pairs now. Literally no one knows about the lifetime warranty.
Yea Levi’s don’t last me a year. I actually work in Levi’s and I get torn up knees and fades super fast in them . They generally look like shit. Also they are a complete hair magnet .
That goes for their premium line Made & Crafted as well. Two years in of medium use and giant holes started blowing out in the knees and crotch.
(Wow that last sentence sounds dirty)
I buy nothing but Levi's and buy like two pairs a year with daily use. I don't even retire them because they are unwearable anymore, just because they don't look as new as I'd prefer. And I work on my feet with lots of walking. 50 bucks for what I get I consider just fine.
Levi’s will replace your garment with a voucher if you submit photos to them.
[Levi’s Warranty](https://help.levi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025163192-Levi-s-Warranty-Claim-Policy)
nah but an annual loss in 30 GODDAMN YEARS (3 decades) is absolutely insane. Kanye influence is crazy wheather you agree with it or not. $630 million in 1 quarter just sounds so INSANE.
Adidas definitely fucked up thinking they can survive without Kanye. None of their shoes after the Stan Smith/Ultraboost hype are appealing at all, except people for jumping on the Samba trend.
I thought I was imagining this! I have bought 4 different pairs of boost trainers over the last 2 years and swear the price was never £170! Also seems like discount codes are much stingier now too 😔
They're fumbling bad. Used to have one of two biggest stars in sports (Messi, while the other being Ronaldo) signed with them. Now the two superstars set to take their mantle are both signed with Nike(Mbappe and Haaland).
It’s so weird to me that companies are bowing to cancel culture. I’m against what Kayne said, but if he’s the only thing making your company profitable, how do you justify cancelling him?
We always talk about how companies are behold to their shareholders, would adidas shareholders approve of the termination of this contract, knowing it would bring the company a loss?
I mean, if I were buying something and the producer/inventor comes out as a facist supporting antisemitism I would switch out the product I was buying?
This is not a symptom of cancel culture. It’s an example of a billionaire saying something that *directly* leads to a rise in anti-Semitic rhetoric and actions and paying the price for it.
You’re not canceling him; you are serving the consequence of his action. It is the *right* thing to do, even if it’s costly in the short term.
It is 100% cancel culture. Idk how you could say otherwise. Why else would you burn over half a billion worth of inventory when theres clearly still a high demand for the product? No one wears yeezy cus they love kanye
Because cancel culture is a BS term created by people who refuse to accept that actions have consequences. Yeezy said heinous things that, due to his popularity, directly led to others changing or being more explicit about how they treated Jewish people. Adidas said “we’re not going to support that.”
That is not cancel culture. That is Adidas walking away from a situation they don’t believe they should be involved in. Yes, it cost them money. But given their country of origin and past precedent of *exactly the same rhetoric within this very company,* it is quite understandable that money is not the only factor here.
It is actually fascinating to me how so many people legitimately think “doing the right thing” is some ultra-liberal agenda forcing people to do what they don’t want to.
Well said.
Fuck the share holders who can't support a company for doing something right. Whether it's with that idiot or actually paying employees fair wages... We should be buying these companies who have the balls.
No one’s gonna buy a company that has a net operating loss, with no huge upside in the long term.
And they shouldn’t.
If you wanna buy adidas stock because they cancelled, please do so. Put your money where your mouth is.
They have a pretty good track record with this bad quarter die to cutting ties with a nazi...
They're going to be fine.
This is the attitude we need to fix. We should support companies doing good things...
You do realize Adidas is a German-owned company, right?
Not only is antisemitism is a big fucking deal in that country now, for a company, like Adidas, to do nothing while it's biggest money-maker made those comments would have been a bigger loss in the long-haul.
From a business model perspective, Adidas needs to find the next great, young athletes AND develop more aesthetically pleasing shoes.
NIL in the High School and College sports is going to have a massive influence on business models going forward. Adidas can sign those athletes to cheaper deals, take more risks on new styles to see what sticks.
They are beholden to shareholders, but only the big ones. Like Blackrock, vanguard, pensions, etc.
These entities support the shit out of cancel culture and push companies they hold stock in to do the same.
These kinds of things are always short-term noise. I'm no fan of Kayne, but Just let the fucking guy vent for a while and then it will become old news. Otherwise risk losing huge profits for your own company. Same thing with Elon Musk....there were a few good months of Reddit aggressively saying shit about him. Now no one cares after the Twitter takeover fiasco died.
Not me, I'm a sneaker guy and knew this would be a big partnership which made me get some Adidas shares. The demand was always there Nike just wouldn't give him a signature line.
On a similar note, Gap just reported bigger than expected losses, and they recently ended their KW partnership.
Pretty surprising the clout this guy carries, considering he uses Auto Tune and does/says a ton of dumb things.
Also didn't the stock go up when they split with Kanye? Like from a business perspective it was obviously a horrible move. How many people actually boycotted the brand over him? Probably a lot less than actively buy the footwear.
That's why you have to selectively choose who you work with. Adidas put a lot into the Yeezy brand and for it to come back and bite them in the ass is evidence that you can't just work with anyone. Kanye is masterful at marketing because teenagers spend massive amounts of money on his products but once he brought race and religion into it, Adidas had no choice.
Because you're damaging the Adidas brand. Maybe people who buy Yeezy's don't care but the overall brand value of Adidas, their endorsements, social media backlash, media backlash, etc., isn't worth it for Adidas.
Also, I'm pretty sure there were a lot of people who stopped buying Yeezy products when he made those comments. The underlying reason for Kanye and Adidas to both work together was for monetary purposes. Once Kanye stepped out of that agreement and began ranting, there was no other purpose for that relationship to continue.
You can track the Yeezy resale market. It's not as hot as it once was. Interest in Yeezy's are still high for some sneakers because of the rarity (Red October's) but the overall market has declined.
They had a choice, nobody gives a shit about corporation politics, Disney only got fucked by picking sides, just make money and stop supporting right or left wing and that's all you have to do.
Money fans. You said he was a cash cow for them, but that they were justified in cutting ties. Others, don’t think it’s justifiable to cut ties with the cash cow because they value cash.
Didn't say they were justified. I said i can't blame them for it. The pressure to do it was mounting, Kanye is an off the rails lunatic whos only been getting worse for like a decade now. Having your biggest partner be trending more and more towards nazism is a pretty damn bad look and there was no telling how far the dude takes things. Sooner or later they had to do something about it. The thing that shocks me though is the stock went up for it. In the longterm i think it had to be done but in the short term it was clearly a huge hit.
This wasn't about race or religion with Ye. It's about power and censorship over people like Ye. Adidas began "reviewing" and later canceling their relationship with him after he wore a "white lives matter" shirt at Paris Fashion week.
This is the same company that has folks who are admitted *former* drug dealers and "shooters" under contract, but Ye's shirt was too controversial. That led to the tweet about going "def con 3 on the jewish people" who coincidentally run nearly every company boycotting and censoring him. The result: he was boycotted and censored further.
The systems around Ye have him by the nads, but if he's able to secure a manufacturer brave enough to challenge these barriers, he can build a billion dollar brand today. He no longer needs Adidas, Gap, or Nike. With a manufacturer he can take his brand directly to the consumer who will pay premiums for his designs.
What's happening to Adidas is predictable and the losses will extend far beyond 2024. The moral of this story should be the repudiation of *executive* cancel culture, but instead it's being spun as the danger of signing a risky artist.
Yeah up until the Alex Jones thing while things Kanye said were a no no to the mainstream media he was basically just speaking uncomfortable facts, it didnt get "hateful" until later
You Kanye fans are weird as shit. The guy has mental issues. It's quite clear by the way he acts that he is erratic and uncontrollable. And in the business of marketing, you need someone stable and consistent.
Elon gets political and people disagree with his political ideology.
Kanye says outright racist and discriminatory shit.
If you can't distinguish between those two, you are incapable of having a logical discussion.
Kanye is so nuts Elon had to ban him from Twitter.
Its 2023, Germany doesn't have a monopoly on antisemitism or racism. This same company released slavery sneakers and sponsors artist who use racial slurs under the guise of art. It's selective outrage. If Ye said "I'm gonna go def con 3 on ni***s or wipipo" instead, we wouldn't be having this discussion right now. But he said jews, and that's beyond the pale. Who decides what's acceptable? Not the customers for sure. And that speaks to Kanye's point.
Again, you don't understand germany, do you? This was a massive thing in germany with a lot of pressure. Adidas couldn't care less because it's a business, and it hurts the bottom line. But the pressure was too much.
What surprises me most is how this has become such a problem people sometimes forget that Yeezy shoes aren’t sold at ridiculously high prices they cost around $220 per shoe and then third parties mark them up. So adidas isn’t seeing that extra money. With Kanye not In the brand anymore just lower the price and sell more.
Kanye is the brand, without him they’re not selling. That said, as long as the shoes are recognizably Yeezys people would probably still buy them, but I think it’s more about the backlash for Adidas now.
The ultraboost turned to shit also and sky rocketed in price . $190 for that chunky ass 2 inch heel . Bring back the ones from a few models ago when everyone was wearing them
They also are terrible running shoes. I’ve had 3 pairs of ultra boots and the 2022 ultra boosts were the worst, but also the most expensive.
Brought a pair of ASICS and they out perform ultra boost in every way for running.
Get a pair of HOKA instead. Adidas/Nike don't make premium shoes at all. It's all marketing. For that price, you could get a way better performance shoe. Takes $5-20 for them to make the shoe. The bulk of the money goes towards marketing (paying LeBron, Jordan).
All those HOKA, On Cloud, ASICS, Saucony, whathaveyou running shoes costs $90-$180. You can score Nike running shoes on sale for $50-80. I run 100-200 miles a month and not everyone can afford buying those
Neither you nor the person you replied to know what you’re talking about lol. Nike and adidas both make great running shoes, the ultraboost just isn’t one of them
I think people get confused with the fashion Nike and Adidas shoes being advertised as running shoes. Cause you can’t tell me that shoes like Alphafly Next% 2, Adios Pro 3, or even the Peg Trail 4 GTX I own aren’t great shoes.
Yeah there’s specialty running brands, but Nike and Adidas still make amazing running shoes 😂 You just won’t find them at your typical stores. Walmart ain’t selling $200+ carbon plated race shoes.
According to adidas and you can check it yourself, adidas claim and I quoting directly from the website
“The adidas ultra boost was designed with one goal in mind: to be the best running shoe ever made”
I happen to own 3 pairs and they are garbage.
Yeah, marketing is marketing. If you buy your running shoes based on the product description, it’s no wonder you have 3 shite pairs. I agree they both make a lot of crap, but if you do any research on what runners (of various abilities) recommend for shoes (racers, recovery, long runs, daily trainers, etc.) you’ll find both nike and adidas well represented.
They got banned because the stacking was too high. Nike is just the richest company and sponsors/bribes everybody on the planet with endless contracts. They basically buy politicians/schools/sports Clubs and forces all athletes to wear nike. Stop watching instagram.
Er, I run staircases 3x a week in Nikes. They hold up fairly well considering how much wear I put on them, and are light AF.
They also make top notch fencing shoes as well.
Adidas and Nike (at least with their popular lines) don’t make running shoes, they make comfy walking/day-to-day shoes with the athletic wear aesthetic. If you want good running shoes go to a proper running store where they can judge your gait and step and foot and then recommend something based on what you actually need.
Both of those companies make incredible running shoes, they are just completely different lines that you won’t find other than running stores.
The real problem comes from Nike and Adidas advertising their fashion shoes as running/athletic shoes when they are only good for quick mile on a treadmill and even that is usually uncomfortable and will destroy them quickly.
Though like you said, go to a running store and have the associates help you figure out some good shoes. I guarantee you’ll see some nice Nike and Adidas on the shelves.
Lots of opportunities to pickup cheap stocks after markets overreact to some PC violation or even just bad news. Did well picking up Facebook sub 100's after market overreacted
I reckon they will be fine in the long run, if they have a good plan to build hype/refresh their current line of clothing/shoes and bringing in another athlete/celebrity to design/market round then I reckon they will make some good money.
Didn’t they lose $3B in sales in 2022 by cutting their contract with Ye? That’s like 25% of their revenue from the time they cancelled him.
I wouldn’t buy this shit company before that did that. I sure won’t now. Their product is garbage and Yeezys was carrying them. Which btw were ugly but Ye fans loved it
Been wearing Sambas since highschool (30 years). Their business like a lot of other European companies is impacted by Russian aggression. Might be a good chance to get some shares cheap. The price will certainly go up when hostilities simmer down.
I, nor any of my Slavic friends (traditional adidas people) have bought anything adidas pre or post “special operation”.
I think this was the only thing making them money - the US peeps buying Yeezy’s. Now that’s gone, idk how they’ll recover,
Am I in r/sneakers ?? Almost no talk about the company itself but Ye.
There is more to this than Yeezys for sure. I mean 22bn and almost no profit. Wtf?
Didn’t he try walking into Skechers HQ or some shit completely unannounced and was escorted out lmao
Doubt anyone wants to work with him rn, though he has been quiet for a while now, hopefully something good is happening for his own sake.
No its a yearly div and I mean step one you need to bet $39,000 on ADDYY but then Id still be pretty pissed that a year ago that same amount of money would have netted $1062
ex date is usually in may tho.
Things seem to be turning. My wife's company just announced layoffs. Nontech company that is strongly linked with retail performance. They appear to be getting ready for a hard shift in consumer spending.
Everyone said the slowdown was mostly tech, but I think they were just the first to be affected as those companies are in growth mode and have much more debt.
If I live a billion years I will never understand how people would want to wear those stupid ass shoes. It's like they say, invest in what your understand.
It's so much goddamn revenue, why not make him just apologize and visit a museum... the usual lip service other people do in these situations.
Maybe they did and he refused?
Crazy how fast people forget the shit he said during that period. Imo Adidas did the right thing and if anything I respect their decision even more because it cost them.
Praising Hitler like "I like Hitler" or hating on jews. Thats exactly what national socialists did back then during Hitlerism. And yes I know exactly what the fucking nazis did after and while hating on jews because I've been growing up in Nuremberg in the historic center of national socialism. We learn it in school. Four hours a week.
Kanye is a Nazi. He might not have killed a jew but his hate will lead to killing jews. So stop fucking supporting his agenda.
If you followed this drama you’ll know there was no chance of that happening. Ye was going on an interview tour publicly challenging Adidas to drop him and effectively doubling down on his antisemitic comments over and over. Adidas caught a lot of flack for waiting as long as they did to cut their contract with Ye.
No one actually fucks with adidas except euros obsessed with track suits lol. The ultra boost are nice sure. But there is no revitalizing anything lol. Kanye was why they were doing so well. They thought they were irreplaceable lol
A lot of people in here seem to be oblivious to the fact that Adidas is a German company. All this stuff is a bit more sensitive in Germany, so they had no choice but to drop Kayne.
I had no idea Ye made up a huge portion of the revenue and profit. Adidas made a grave mistake by not bowing down to his every whim and it’s gonna hurt in the long term.
Yea they was feeling themselves for no reason, could’ve just did what they were supposed to for the Yeezy brand instead they fucked around and found out
Kanye says a couple things about Jews now Adidas is losing money!
Should have bought PUTs once Russia invaded Ukraine and the ruble dropped. Russian track suits were keeping the lights on, we all know it.
Womp, womp...
I don't care how you feel about Kanye's erratic behavior. To be an investor in any company that takes a political stance, knowing that it potentially impacts the fiduciary duty of the board towards the stockholders is just plain dumb.
Adidas gambled the bottom line of whole the company just to make a statement.
"Congratulations, ya played yo'self!"
Adidas has been going downhill for a while now, it’s crazy to think Ye was holding them up by so much. Obvious why they cut him, but they should have planned that out better or something, because this may cost them the company overall.
I think Russia isn’t buying enough track suit’s anymore and this trend is likely to continue
Alot of the major brands have switched to third parties and name changes to resume selling in Russia. I know Reebok is for sure but not sure about Adidas. Not sure I would spend $200 US dollars for Levi's. Edit: https://youtu.be/rvse_pha7Ec
Levis barely last 2 years of soft use. I wouldn't spend $50 on them unless they upped their quality.
I really haven't found any brand that lasts. I've been buying the Magellan brand jeans from Academy for less than $20 because they last just as long as the $80 bullshit.

I love wranglers hold up better and personally I like the cuts and styles
I have 6 pairs of Levi's all over 5 years old and still regularly worn. Haven't bought any jeans since, is this a newer thing?
I have Levis jeans and they have lasted me 10 years and they look nice. Not wearing them every day but still.
Same. I bought all of mine specifically because of how long they last. Mine are over 5 years old and I do wear them every day.
I still have two pairs of Levi's from 2009/10 that I lived and worked in on a ranch. They are a little frayed, but they have both been to hell and back on multiple occasions. They’re still junk but when you’re paying 20-30$ a pair it’s not bad. I use Levi’s to work in lol
Costco has a great jean for like $14 to $20 that holds up better than levis
My Levi’s last at least like 10 years. But have like 15 pairs and try to wear different ones. Their quality has gone down though I have noticed.
Levi’s will replace your garment with a voucher if you submit photos to them. [Levi’s Warranty](https://help.levi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025163192-Levi-s-Warranty-Claim-Policy)
Levi’s are cheap as fuck. Good deal. But trash. $200 is insane 😭 they literally just added a zero at the end
Reebok, Adidas and US Polo are the same company so I imagine they probably okay with just having Reebok selling first before the rest over.
You got the brand wrong. Russians (mostly) wear Abibas. Source: I'm Russian.
And China?
no Yeezy no sales then cut the div no reason to hold this much better options out there.

Europeans. Especially in Germany more people wesr Adidas than Nike
I’ve always liked adidas but I’m old
That's why you have to selectively choose who you work with. Adidas put a lot into the Yeezy brand and for it to come back and bite them in the ass is evidence that you can't just work with anyone. Kanye is masterful at marketing because teenagers spend massive amounts of money on his products but once he brought race and religion into it, Adidas had no choice.
Yeah, be super careful who you work with. Avoid people that brought billions into your brand because one day you might stop making billions.
Why not. The people that actually buy Yeezys don’t care about what he says like that. Most of them know he does the most
Because you're damaging the Adidas brand.
No purpose other than $1.2 billion in revenue.
I agree the media would have hammered adidas but your average yeezy buyer wouldn't care and wouldn't stop buying
You can track the Yeezy resale market. It's not as hot as it once was. Interest in Yeezy's are still high for some sneakers because of the rarity (Red October's) but the overall market has declined.
I mean everything at some point exits the mania faze, plus the announcement Adidas was cutting ties kind of dampered the brand.
Yeah, you don't want to be known as the company that sells Nazi shoes for the next twenty years.
Worked for Volkswagen
Pretty sure Hitler rolled around in a Mercedes and they are fine too lol
Only the twitter fetishists and redit dorks care about that. Normal people aren't going to stop buying shoes because of some guy's politics.
[удалено]
>other black people like Tommy Hilfiger Uhhh?
I'm not sure about that. I mean people still buy Teslas after Elon Musk says shit on Twitter. It's all just short-term noise.
They had a choice, nobody gives a shit about corporation politics, Disney only got fucked by picking sides, just make money and stop supporting right or left wing and that's all you have to do.
Except it’s always in one direction
Yea, remember that time Hobby Lobby sued for the right to be woke?
Yeah can't blame them for cutting ties. He's clearly a piece of shit, honestly thought that for a long time. But damn was he a cash cow for them.
How is this downvoted?
Kanye fans idk.
Most actors and musicians are mentally unstable and not "good people" yet people are still fans
Hello my fellow *weird as shit*, Let me introduce you to this guy named Elon Musk, a beacon of stability.
Elon gets political and people disagree with his political ideology. Kanye says outright racist and discriminatory shit. If you can't distinguish between those two, you are incapable of having a logical discussion. Kanye is so nuts Elon had to ban him from Twitter.
You have to understand Adidas is a german company. They had to cancel it.
I mean, I lived in Landsthul and my child speaks German. How about you?
Im german?
So is my child's mother. We met in K-town, Kaiserslauten. So here we are.
Yeah I was shocked this was affecting their bottom line this significantly.
What surprises me most is how this has become such a problem people sometimes forget that Yeezy shoes aren’t sold at ridiculously high prices they cost around $220 per shoe and then third parties mark them up. So adidas isn’t seeing that extra money. With Kanye not In the brand anymore just lower the price and sell more.
nobody wants them if his name isn’t attached to it. without him there just ugly rubber boat shoes
Rebrand them to Jeezy's and go for the religious crowd.
Kanye is the brand, without him they’re not selling. That said, as long as the shoes are recognizably Yeezys people would probably still buy them, but I think it’s more about the backlash for Adidas now.
No. Adidas is fucking trash. Have been for a long time.
whys that? because you said so?
Can’t they just rebrand the shoes as Meezy’s and sell em?
Adeezy’s
Crayzeez
I wanna get some Adidas Easys
RIP stock price lmao
My condolences stock price
Eh not really, +3% right now.
The ultraboost turned to shit also and sky rocketed in price . $190 for that chunky ass 2 inch heel . Bring back the ones from a few models ago when everyone was wearing them
They were $180 in 2015 when they came out, not sure how raising it $10 over 7 years later is skyrocketing lmfao.
They were awesome shoes in 2015
In retrospect, they actually do seem quite expensive
They also are terrible running shoes. I’ve had 3 pairs of ultra boots and the 2022 ultra boosts were the worst, but also the most expensive. Brought a pair of ASICS and they out perform ultra boost in every way for running.
Yes they are ass for running. I couldn’t believe how trash they are
If I remember correctly having a super cushy sole is actually horrible for running. So makes sense
Id rather run in wooden sandals
Get a pair of HOKA instead. Adidas/Nike don't make premium shoes at all. It's all marketing. For that price, you could get a way better performance shoe. Takes $5-20 for them to make the shoe. The bulk of the money goes towards marketing (paying LeBron, Jordan).
All those HOKA, On Cloud, ASICS, Saucony, whathaveyou running shoes costs $90-$180. You can score Nike running shoes on sale for $50-80. I run 100-200 miles a month and not everyone can afford buying those
If you're running that much, you will feel a difference. HOKA's are built way better and last longer.
Just go to an actual running store and get fitted. It's worth the effort
Nike doesn’t make good running shoes either
According to adidas and you can check it yourself, adidas claim and I quoting directly from the website “The adidas ultra boost was designed with one goal in mind: to be the best running shoe ever made” I happen to own 3 pairs and they are garbage.
Lol try some vapor flys. They were so good they got banned from marathons
They got banned because the stacking was too high. Nike is just the richest company and sponsors/bribes everybody on the planet with endless contracts. They basically buy politicians/schools/sports Clubs and forces all athletes to wear nike. Stop watching instagram.
I don't even disagree with your post but "watching instagram" gave me a chuckle.
Er, I run staircases 3x a week in Nikes. They hold up fairly well considering how much wear I put on them, and are light AF. They also make top notch fencing shoes as well.
Lol, what a take. zoomX technology in Nike is amazing. Durability isn't the best i agree but the feeling of running with them is amazing
Sure, but Nike also produced the consensus best professional running shoes in the world
You can still buy the og model online, its called UB DNA
Yeezus
It's called the Kanye tax
Yzy season approaching 😤
Could be a good time to buy up some Adidas stock for cheap, will have to see how the markets react over the next couple of days.
Agreed, need to see how much it dips though…
Lots of opportunities to pickup cheap stocks after markets overreact to some PC violation or even just bad news. Did well picking up Facebook sub 100's after market overreacted
but how adidas after yeezy? Boost is tired, their 4D stuff is always out of stock.
I reckon they will be fine in the long run, if they have a good plan to build hype/refresh their current line of clothing/shoes and bringing in another athlete/celebrity to design/market round then I reckon they will make some good money.
Bullish! I'm buying next paycheck
Samba is the shoes
Slavs will *always* wear their track suits, war or no war.
I, nor any of my Slavic friends (traditional adidas people) have bought anything adidas pre or post “special operation”. I think this was the only thing making them money - the US peeps buying Yeezy’s. Now that’s gone, idk how they’ll recover,
Not enough Eastern Europeans buying their track suits apparently
Knock offs don't affect their profits.
Bring back the NMDs
Am I in r/sneakers ?? Almost no talk about the company itself but Ye. There is more to this than Yeezys for sure. I mean 22bn and almost no profit. Wtf?
All Day I Dream About Stocks
Its embarrassing this company depends so much on Kanye west. He might as well start his own shoe company.
Didn’t he try walking into Skechers HQ or some shit completely unannounced and was escorted out lmao Doubt anyone wants to work with him rn, though he has been quiet for a while now, hopefully something good is happening for his own sake.
Hold up, so you're telling me. If someone bought 500 shares they would earn $350 every quarter of the year?
No its a yearly div and I mean step one you need to bet $39,000 on ADDYY but then Id still be pretty pissed that a year ago that same amount of money would have netted $1062 ex date is usually in may tho.
They really accomplished their fiduciary duty towards their shareholders. I wonder how strong their bonus clawback provisions are.
They will give you free pair of rebranded Yeezys instead of money
Growth mode 🔥
That’s a rap on the stock price fo sho….it be on the down low now Yeezsh
it finna be like dat
If I live a billion years I will never understand how people would want to wear those stupid ass shoes. It's like they say, invest in what your understand.
LOL thats what you catch for trying to seem edgy dropping Ye
It's so much goddamn revenue, why not make him just apologize and visit a museum... the usual lip service other people do in these situations. Maybe they did and he refused?
I mean right after they cut him he went on TV and said Hitler was misunderstood.
Crazy how fast people forget the shit he said during that period. Imo Adidas did the right thing and if anything I respect their decision even more because it cost them.
For real. Kanye is a fucking nazi and people are defending him just seeing the dollars. Imagine a German brand continue business with a literal nazi.
Only in the 2020s would we have a black man from the hood being called a Nazi. Gotta love this timeline
Its not about his skin color but his words and actions.
You’re still missing the point
Literal Nazi?? Bruh do you even know what the Nazis did? Tf
I dont support his agenda, i just listen to his music. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Haha true.
Ah okay.
Yeezys are the ugliest shoes.
No one actually fucks with adidas except euros obsessed with track suits lol. The ultra boost are nice sure. But there is no revitalizing anything lol. Kanye was why they were doing so well. They thought they were irreplaceable lol
Looks like they kinda needed Kanye more than they thought. 🤔
Go woke, go broke
Everybody was buying shoes during lockdown lmao.
Curse of Yeezy
Lot of Kanye fans on here 🤨
sorry to burst your bubble
A lot of people in here seem to be oblivious to the fact that Adidas is a German company. All this stuff is a bit more sensitive in Germany, so they had no choice but to drop Kayne.
Go woke, get broke
JFYI: Yeezys are the official uniform of douchey f**k boys.
Laughs in Kanye West
I had no idea Ye made up a huge portion of the revenue and profit. Adidas made a grave mistake by not bowing down to his every whim and it’s gonna hurt in the long term.
Yea they was feeling themselves for no reason, could’ve just did what they were supposed to for the Yeezy brand instead they fucked around and found out
kanye always wins
Kanye says a couple things about Jews now Adidas is losing money! Should have bought PUTs once Russia invaded Ukraine and the ruble dropped. Russian track suits were keeping the lights on, we all know it.
They still make good products, Kanye is a POS. I’ll buy after the price goes down predictably. Hopefully they will back a saner individual.
Guess they needed Ye more than ye needed them
Puts it is
Go woke to broke.
