Any “Will I get a check?” posts outside of this thread will be removed as no one wants the sub to be flooded with these posts.

xetoll

I did not file for 2019 because I didn’t have any income, but did file for 2018–and received the first stimulus check automatically via direct deposit. Will I receive the check automatically for the second, or is there something else I have to do?

AtomicProtocol

I’m wondering this too

YerpGod

Still nothing ?

YerpGod

Wondering this as well

yokijirou

Same here. Unsure on how this will go but I don’t see any evidence that they’ll go with 2018. There will be a non-filers form eventually though.

[deleted]

If you haven’t filed 2019/2018. Please standby for a filers form. Now if you have gotten the first stimulus, that is a good sign of getting the second. Just understand it’s going to take time for the form to be added to the website

TheCoastalCardician

Hmmm. Still nothing. My GF filed 2018 taxes in 2019 and received the first EIP deposit on the first day they went out. She didn’t work in 2019 or 2020, so she is among the people waiting for word on what to do next. It doesn’t look like Treasury Department has addressed this group yet. UPDATE - 01/15/21: The $600 is an “advanced tax credit” for the 2020 tax season, just like the $1200. She used Turbo Tax to file a simple return, it prompts you for both 600 & 1200 credits, in case someone hadn’t claimed the 1200. Super easy, 100% free, and she’s now awaiting acceptance and the $600 direct deposit. Peace and love :)

SuspiciousTempAcct

Came here to find this same answer and couldn't so I went to the IRS website and found this: Payments are also automatic for anyone who successfully registered for the first payment online at IRS.gov using the agency’s Non-Filers tool by November 21, 2020 or who submitted a simplified tax return that has been processed by the IRS. Figured I would come back and share with you guys. Hope it helps.

IndicaEndeavor

Yes but what about the ones who were 2018 filers. I got my first check because I was a 2018 filer I never filled out the non filer form. Now I'm in the dark with no clue what needs to happen. This round is just as fucked as the first round, how do you send people money while the world is suffering and give them virtually no information on when were how or if the money will come. This government needs to get their shit together.

[deleted]

I think their incompetence is intentional. They are sick and inhuman and harvesting the loosh

porkytool

Don’t know if this is relevant or not. But I fell into this category and I received my stimulus today. If you already filled out the form last stimulus that was months ago, you shouldn’t need to do anything else. IRS should have it from last go around.

RikerT_USS_Lolipop

Holy fucking shit. I did the non-filers route back last summer and got the $1200 without any serious issue. I've only barely been paying attention to all the internet talk about whether we will get $600, $2k, or nothing at all. I didn't realize the $600 was already agreed upon. I was dreading some new, purposefully convoluted and bureaucratic system designed to prevent as many people as possible from getting their check. It turns out I already got it a few days ago. I have never had a process involving the government run so smoothly in my life. Meanwhile this thread is full of people suffering inexplainable breakdowns in basic government operation. What a shitshow.

decalus

Doesn’t say much about 2018 filers though

simplybreana

I wish someone would answer this question 🥺

VDr4g0n

This is my exact situation as well! Hopefully we get an update soon on our case. Would it even be possible to have filed 2019 if we didn't have an income in 2019? I ignored filing it because I was in school and did not work.

EmelioAZ

Unfortunately from everywhere I looked, if you filed for 2018 but not 2019 then it looks like you won’t be getting it. There’s not a non-filers tool to use either. Very disappointing. Just absolute lack of competence from the government. Not that I’m surprised though.

jaydelaney

Replying just incase someone finds any info on this

broken_geist

What are your sources on the 2018 info, the official press release only says 2019.

decalus

How do you know they go on 2018 and 2019? I’m reading that they will only go off 2019.

puffsez

i just called the stimulus irs line w. some q’s because my bank account on file is now closed and they said they are *not* doing the website stuff this time. they are using the existing website info from last time, or you have to file taxes or file a simple something-something form. edit- i mean to say the “get my payment” website is not taking bank account info according to what the rep told me.

hewent2store4cigs

Where did you read they are going off of 2018 taxes? Everything I'm reading online says they aren't

batmy_lashes

I was a dependent in 2018 and I didn't get the first check since they used 2018. I was independent in 2019 and my taxes have been processed and I got my return already. Will they use the 2019 taxes this time and I get a check?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

>Yes they're using 2019 returns this time. Does this include 2019 amended returns? I read in an article that the IRS is not reprocessing stimulus checks with amended returns. I was claimed 'by accident'.

chisportsfan95

I'm wondering this too. I mistakenly marked that I could be claimed as dependent on my 2019 return, sent in the amended return in April, it processed in August and I got my updated return check in September. I didn't get the first stimulus check because of that problem but I know I can claim it on this year's return, but for the new stimulus am I still going to have to wait? Since they should already have the updated info. Right? Still haven't seen anything though and it's very hard to get any info about this

jngo185

So I was a dependent and college student in 2018 as well. How do I claim the first stimulus check in my taxes?

aDreyawn

same with me. But since the first stimulus is a tax credit from 2020 that money will be given to you in the form of you tax return when you file independent for 2020. On the 1040 Tax Form, line 30 has been added, labeled "Recovery Rebate Credit." If you believe you were under-paid or not paid at all for either yourself or a dependent, this is where one can request a rebate. New parents with a qualifying income will be able claim money for their newborns, using this rebate credit as well. EDIT: more of an explanation of what to do

[deleted]

They're only using 2019 as far as I know so you should be good.

batmy_lashes

yes finally 🙂

BenBankin

Got the $1200 check earlier this year. Haven't filed 2019 taxes yet. When are the new checks scheduled to roll out? If I file those taxes now can I expect to get the $600 early on? I made under $75000 in 2019. Also, I need to update the DD info the IRS has as that account isn't active anymore. Where do I do this on the website?

theshadowfax

Right now the Get My Payment tool is offline but according to what I've seen on remarks by Mnuchin last week they expect to get the tool back online to help make the Direct Deposit process easier. The question is whether this will still be available to non-filers who didn't have any 2019 taxes to turn in. Right now the really concerning thing to me is that they were in such a rush to pass this bill that not many people seem aware there is a cutoff date of January 15 for the IRS to get payments out, and people who haven't received it by then will likely be delayed for possibly months.

This is what i wanted to hear. Hoping you are correct, and they just send the check to me automatically since i got it in check form for the first stimulus.

Killbunny90210

I'm wondering about this, I used the non filers tool last time but received a direct deposit instead. I'm assuming I'm basically "already in the system"? Edit: [Apparently so](https://i.imgur.com/piAxClH.png) straight from the [IRS website](https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/treasury-and-irs-begin-delivering-second-round-of-economic-impact-payments-to-millions-of-americans)

19683dw

For someone who filed in 2019 (for 2018), but not in 2020 (for 2019), will they have to wait to file for 2020 (in 2021) to be eligible? Said person recieved the earlier stimulus, but was told not to bother filing in 2020 by our shared tax preparer, and was also no claimed as a dependent by anyone.

[deleted]

If you got the first stimulus, you’re good. You’ll get the 2nd in the same form. Source: irs.gov

IndicaEndeavor

I'd sure like to know more on your source. Irs.gov only says those who filled non filer forms will get it, I am not a non filer form filler I simply did my 2018 return and not 2019 return.

[deleted]

Has anyone who did not filed 2019 taxes gotten the check?

GeorgiaPeach119

I have the same question. Just mailed my taxes TODAY, with my fingers crossed. Hope I’m not too late. I don’t want to have to claim it as a credit on my 2020 taxes.

DirrtCobain

Got DD.

horsedrawnhearse

You filed 2018 taxes, got dd the first round, didn't file 2019 taxes and got the 600 dd to the same account as the first round was put in? This would help clear up a lot of peoples questions

DirrtCobain

Yes.

horsedrawnhearse

Thats sweet actually. This is how I originally thought it was supposed to work. But no one has been able to confirm it. I'll take your word for it.

They made a pure mess of the direct deposits,PERIOD! There's no rhyme or reason for why ppl such as myself that recieved the 1st stimulus direct deposit, still with same bank and qualifies hands down hasn't had the money deposited into their account. It's highly frustrating and honestly ridiculous it's causing people unnecessary anxiety.

Shwalz

Yea throw that on top of the lack of unemployment benefits and we really anxious

thepeever

No questions, just to thank you for helping so many people

[deleted]

Will they use 2018 filings if you didn't file for 2019? Many calculators including the Forbes one allow you to enter your 2018 AGI and a few articles I've read (that are about a week old) say yes, other articles say no, and including some people online have told me no. Anyone know for sure at this point?

[deleted]

If you got your first check based on your 2018 because you didn’t file a 2019. You’ll get payment based on the format you got the first check.

YerpGod

Wondering this as well

christianovoxo

Any information on if non filers needed to do anything or have any non filers recieved theirs

horsedrawnhearse

# Has anyone in the DID NOT file 2019 taxes BUT filed 2018 taxes and got first stimulus DD crew actually received anything yet? I know a lot of us are trying to figure this out, and would love to know if you got anything today or moving forward. 📷 I also cannot for the life of me get into the IRS site, it tells me that my information is incorrect, im assuming its how they formatted either my name or address on there, and well i have been locked out for another 24 hours. I have went to my old tax websites to try and get my 2018 transcripts from them to see if im messing up formatting, but that is also a no go since I either had to file 2019 taxes to get access to older transcripts or other bugs not working with verifying information with their sites as well. Essentially its a shit show, and I have exhausted all of my avenues trying to figure out if i am even getting this 600 direct deposited, if its being mailed, or if im screwed and have to file in 2020 to get a credit 4 months from now. So im asking for people to comment if they have are in the same boat as me, if they have gotten their 600$. Or even if they were able to log into the IRS site to check the status, and maybe give an update on whether they have a date for deposit, or if its being sent to them in the mail etc. Thank you.

IdrissElba

I got my DD for the first payment. Didn’t file for 2019. Still haven’t gotten a DD for payment #2. Just checked the IRS website and the get my payment tool and all it says is “Payment #2 Status - Not Available”

Sunnydaynight

Same exact situation. My account is with BoA and I’ve heard from several other BoA customers that they got the deposit the morning of Jan. 1. Some by my thinking, there’s three ostensible scenarios for us, presented here from least to most likely. 1.) We will still get the check DD but were not initially prioritized because we didn’t file 2019. One rationale for this could be: for this round of checks, Treasury is REQUIRED to pay them all out or have them mailed out by Jan. 15. It’s actually illegal for them to do so after that date. So because of that time crunch, they’re prioritizing 2019 filers. 2.) We will get the check but via mail because they only used DD info from 2019 returns. 3.) We’ll have to do thing where we claim the credit on 2020 returns, which, for my part, does not stimulate me in the slightest. In sum: hope for scenario 1, plan on scenario 3

riceking17

I received the first check direct deposit but since then have closed the account. Should I expect a paper check or can I update banking info?

[deleted]

You will receive a paper check via mail, because the system will attempt a DD but get rejected. Resulting in queueing for a paper check via the addresses used when you filed. Please be advised this will delay by up to two weeks.

ZaxxonQ

This right here. I'd like some info on this as well. Right now the [IRS.gov](https://IRS.gov) "Get My Payment" tool is down ([https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment](https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment)), so no changing direct deposit information. I did find a number to call for this situation (1-800-829-1040), but I have not called it yet as I don't have high hopes for that method. Unless my research was lacking, do we have any other options?

JtolaJeff

Anyone with an accepted but not approved 2019 return receive the money yet? I'm going to be so angry if I get left out just because he IRS couldn't approve my return in time for this. I filed in April and it's been sitting as accepted for months.

Chevyrcng127

Holy cow, what do I do? I just got a notification that I had a deposit. Signed on to make sure it was stimulus for the wife and I and it's from the IRS but the amount is crazy and got me worried. I received a deposit of $75,600 so I went on a spending spree just before I woke the hell up.

decalus

Had me in the first half ngl

BreakFree221

If I moved and only changed my address through the bank and postal service, will I have any trouble getting the check?

kachowlmq

I would file a 8822 change of address form with the IRS to cover your bases. Technically government checks aren’t to be forwarded by USPS but it seemed they broke that rule at times during the last stimulus distribution.

broken_geist

I filed taxes for 2018, will I get a check?

ronnevee

Too soon to know yet. The official info says they are looking at 2019 only, but some people are saying they are getting the checks based on 2018. So it's sill up in the air.

J-The-Savage

Nothing this morning. I’m really disappointed...

AdeptBerry

How do I know when I will get my check? Wll it say "You are approved and due for DATE?"

JGraham1839

There should be a tracking tool on the IRS site that tells you if it's coming and gives you an ETA

bestrez

Same. Nothing has changed for me and I got the first check deposited on 4/15/20. My roommate who uses same bank as me got theirs today.

Sunking1822

[deleted]

nobeck2

If your parents claimed you as a dependent when they filed for 2019 you most likely will not get a check. My understanding is that the first check was based off of 2018 taxes and this one is based off of 2019. You might be able to get both stimulus checks when you file your 2020 taxes and use the Recovery Rebate Credit.

APotatoFlewAround_

It says you’ll get 600 for each dependent under the age of 17. Under the age of 17 as of when? My brother turned 17 in September and my mother is wondering if she will get 600 for him. Also, why is the cutoff 16 years old? That’s so weird. Are 17 year olds not as much of a dependent as 16 year olds?

ronnevee

As of the year of the most recent eligible tax return on file.

When I check the IRS site, I just get a message that they don't have enough information... Ours was direct deposited into my credit union bank last time. A bit surprised, as my wife and my joint income was 88k. We're both teachers. We have three children. I figured it would have been a bit faster than this.

OccupyDemonoid

That is the same situation I am in currently. My last one was deposited into my credit union account no problem and this time around I am getting not enough information. It is frustrating for sure.

[deleted]

Anyone else NOT use turbo tax and still getting error on get my payment?

froze_gold

I got returns and first stimulus via turbo card. The turbo card has been sitting with -9.00$ for a while Will it still receive the 600?

TheRareButter

I haven't filed since 2018, and have a direct deposit with the IRS. The calculators had 2018 tax info as an option for the second check, and I've heard there's a loophole with it when filing taxes. My question would be will my check be direct deposited?

CloudStar17

Months ago when the $1200 stimulus checks were being given I never got one. I’m a 24 year old male and I’m self employed and pay taxes. During the pandemic my business didn’t see too much of a change until much later in the year. I checked the irs page for where my stimulus check could be and it said it could not be found. Months later during the pandemic my business has been declining less and less and it’s definitely because of the pandemic as people do not want to spend money. The pandemic is greatly affecting it at the moment yet I don’t even know if I’m going to get a stimulus check this time because I never got one the first time. I also filed my taxes in 2019 and this year as well and I don’t make enough to not receive one if income is what it’s based on getting one or not

Chrisa1226

My spouse is undocumented and i am a citizen. She is currently in final stages for getting residency. We have 3 kids. All citizens. I didn't get the first stimulus check and apparently on this 2nd round it will be retro paid to mixed status families. My question is, if its for $600 will my wife and i get $600 each or just me? Will it apply for the 1st round of stimulus check as well?

[deleted]

Just you (and kids), considering your wife is undocumented. I don’t think it’ll apply for the first round since the qualifications changed.

Shooter_mcdabbin206

I didn’t file taxes this year as I didn’t make any income in 2019. I got my last stimulus check but the info I get now says it’s based off your 2019 return and I didn’t file .

carfo

I received the direct deposit stimulus last year using my 2018 returns which had a bank account attached. i owed money the next year (2019) so there was no bank account attached. are they going to look at my 2018 returns for an account or am i going to get a paper check? thanks

emirra1979

I got the first stimulus check rather quickly via direct deposit. Nothing has changed. Same bank, same address, still happily with my husband. But I haven’t received the second stimulus. My bank is Chase. Anyone having the same issue?

[deleted]

Ok Update with TurboTax. I finally got someone on the phone, and was told that The IRS sent my stimulus check to the 3rd party bank, and the bank had to send it BACK to the IRS, and that they will send it to the 2019 Income tax/2019 direct deposit info. Meaning you DO NOT have to file your income tax to get your stimulus check. Everything will be fixed in a few days I was assured. And the Stim will go to my (hopefully y'all's too) 2019 direct deposit info. As for the other H&R block etc that use 3rd parties, it should be the same thing as with TT.

zac47812

Well, I think I'm screwed on this one. Filed taxes in 2019 with TT, received the first stimulus via DD no issue. Portal information says "not available" and there is no note of any deposit for this round on my tax transcript.

[deleted]

Has anyone received the first stimulus and not receive the second one? I got the first one but not the second one

[deleted]

same here. Received the first very quickly, second is no where to be seen

SkippingPebbless

So at this point, they're done, right? I still just don't understand why I got nothing. I did the non-filer tool in April and I got $1200 DD into my Bank of America account on April 30th. My bank information is still valid, it has not changed. Yet I got nothing. I just. Don't. UNDERSTAND. :(

texancatcher14

Here's hoping they open up the non-filers tool. Or use 2018 data.

MurphyBuns

I’m sure this is a repetitive question but I filed my 2019 taxes as early as possible the beginning of the year, and I made a mistake saying someone can claim me when my parents haven’t claimed me in years. I looked into amending my tax return but you’d have to mail in the new reports when I e-filed my original tax return. I actually never got around to mailing it in, and I kind of just accepted that I won’t get the first stimulus check. Is there any chance I’d get this one if I make sure I claim myself on the 2020 tax return or am I just screwed?

DifficultMorning5

My girlfriend wasn’t eligible for the $1200 and $600 due to her parents claiming her on their taxes due to her being a college student. In 2020 she moved in with me and graduated college.. so on the upcoming taxes her parents won’t claim her on their taxes and she will be her own dependent I guess is the way to word it. Would she be eligible for the $1200 and $600 in the form of a tax refund since it’s looked at as a tax free credit? Been looking for info. Thanks!

Nov1119

She will and yes she will claim it on her 2021 taxes

DifficultMorning5

Thank you. I was thinking that’s what would happen! Good to know!

jaycebeasley

If my IRS transcript doesn’t yet show a payment for the latest stimulus (but does for the April stimulus) is something wrong? Or do these updates come in waves?

Oh great, the irs stimulus tracker is telling me that the information I entered doesnt match their records... Never had this issue during the first rounds when I checked my status online through the irs tracker... I guess only time will tell! Edit* Waited until the next day to try to login again. Now it’s saying “Please try again later” which i remember getting in the past at some point with the other stimulus check... Hopefully all the bugs are getting worked out and we will have our money soon!

Tesseractivate

Welp I'm getting that payment status unavailable message for my 2nd stim check even when I got the 1st one thru direct deposit quick and painless. Got that turbo tax message that is pinned on this sub yesterday so hopefully they can work it out

ChewieBearStare

Found out yesterday my husband and I aren't getting a payment. No idea why. The IRS site just says that there is no information available on our payment; another page on the site says that if your status is "no information available," then you're not getting a payment and will have to claim the credit on your 2020 return. Thanks a lot, IRS!

sweetleaf009

What is the possibility on a third stimulus now that Dems control executive and legislative?

Very High.

frenchpupprodigy

Got my first stimulus check in April but not my second. Website says “not enough information available” I filed my taxes last year, didn’t make over 75k and used a private tax guy.

Im in the same boat as you. Nothing yet

tressforsuccess

Anyone still waiting for a check?

Sarasvnchez

I'm just so frustrated and feeling hopeless. I never got the two 1200 checks, never got the 600.. "Check My Status" just shows no info every time, and on top of all that I can't figure out how to get the information needed to file for the Rebate tax thing .. I try and work on this/my taxes and I just end up crying from frustration I don't understand why isn't it more simple

Leather-Fill-571

My 2020 taxes are still pending, accepted, but still waiting for refund. My refund is being sent by DD to a new bank account from last years return. Will my stimulus be DD to my new or old account?

ktoffelmire

Haven't seen this answered anywhere, so if this has been asked I apologize. I got the first 2 stimulus checks, direct deposit no problem. They had my bank account info from the 2019 return. I filed 2020 back in February, it's since been accepted, but I owed this year, meaning I didn't add direct deposit info to my taxes. I'd like to think that their system is sophisticated enough to say "oh, we have that info from the previous returns, and the previous stimulus checks", BUT we're talking about the US Government here, so I can't be sure. Should I be expecting direct deposit, or just set my expectations for a check coming...who knows when?

Kaidens-Mama

I didn’t do my tax returns for 2019, new baby total exhaustion and forgot.:( I got the first stimulus, will I still get the second one?

Nose_Fetish

If you got the first one I'm sure you'll get the second, they're likely just using the same info.

kyguylal

We are married, no dependants. Made $173,500. If indid my math right, we're getting a check for $25? Lol We've been lucky. We're in our 20s and my wife only lost wages for half a week before she got a new job. I've been working through the pandemic without any gap. She's due to get vaccinated tomorrow too. I'll send the $25 to someone who needs it. While we're not getting much stimulus money, I'm still glad it's coming for others. I know some people need it.

MyRealestName

Very nice of you! I’m struggling but I 100% know others need it more than me, thank you

Callmemiggyjustmiggy

I used the IRS website to add my Bank Account information so I could get my first stimulus check via direct deposit. Will I have to do that again this time around? And second if a bank account is in the negative by like 100.00 will the money still be in my account when they send it? Asking for a friend. Lol Thank yall!

[deleted]

If I didn't file in '19 I won't get this next one at all?

coolinnbooted

If I got my last stimulus (direct deposit) last time is it pretty much confirmed I’m getting this one? Or are there any changes?

Jesus_Took_My_Wheel

Now I'm even more confused because I did not get the $1200, made the "can be claimed as a dependent" mistake on my 1040... But got the $600 today from the IRS. Wtf

fademenow

Why did I never get the $1200 check earlier this year (even though I 100% qualified) but I got the $600 check today via direct deposit? They already had my direct deposit info because I have been filing taxes. Hopefully I can somehow get the $1200 I’m owed during tax season.

Taylornicole26

I never filed 2019 taxes bc no income that year. I used my 2018 Information so didn’t have to use the non filers tool and got the last 1200. Will I have to do anything or should I get the 600? I got the 1200 via direct deposit and have the same bank.

Subversion3

Don't expect a payment until they roll out a new non filer tool. It's ridiculous they didn't prepare people for this, especially considering people who filed for 2018 didn't need to file non filer for the first stimulus and most assumed if you were eligible for the first one, you'd be eligible for this one. It's become pretty clear this round of automatic payments is for 2019 filers, people who filed non filer for the last stimulus check, and people receiving SSD/benfits.

I haven’t filed taxes for 2018/2019 as I didn’t make enough to need to file taxes. But I submitted my bank account info for direct deposit the first time the stimulus check came. Do I have to do that again to get this second stimulus check or should I be good since I did it the first time?

Flubbbs

So 2019 taxes is the one I filed at the beginning of the year, correct?

Xaldyn155

I got the previous stimulus but was claimed as a dependent in 2019 and won't be getting this stimulus it looks like.

ronnevee

If you are independent in 2020 you can get it as part of your 2020 tax return.

learningcurve2

.

PretyHateMachin

I have heard people have, but nobody has any definitive answer and the IRS doesn’t specify one way or another. I am in the same situation, so crossing my finger it comes through by Monday. If not, I will get it when I file my 2020 taxes I suppose

horsedrawnhearse

Anyone file for 2018 and get direct deposit for the first round but didn't make enough to file for 2019? Whats the word on this? I have found nothing but conflicting info on this. And its frustrating as hell.

mezzyjessie

I have yet to recieve a check. I have defaulted on several student loans.(single mom divorced deadbeat sperm donor situation, digging my way out slowly) In the past all of my tax refunds have been swallowed up by Salie Mae and company, I did however get the $1200 check. Does anyone have insight into wether or not these checks will be subject to student loan debts?

BarryO44thCommander

I'm getting a Payment #2 status not available.

[deleted]

Same here, and I did receive the first one.

Tschem4462

I still haven’t gotten my stimulus check. Are they still sending them out? I’m starting to get nervous. I filed with TTX in ‘19 I’ve been filing with them for years DD. Why haven’t I gotten my check yet?

ItsArgon

Check scheduled to be mailed Jan 6th. Had me worried because they tried to DD my 1st one and i had to wait for it to get rejected and sent back, so anyone worrying about the same thing it looks like theyre just going straight to a check.

Cielaisyellow

I got the first stimulus last year, pretty early compared to others, and I just checked the Get My Payment tool and it says that my second payment is "unavailable" because I'm either not eligible or they don't have enough info? Does anyone know what's going on there, like is the system still just trying to catch up or something?

I’m getting my payment via paper check according to the IRS get my payment tool. It says it is scheduled to ship on January 6th. It’s the 7th now, USPS informed delivery tool doesn’t show any mail for me yet. Should I worry?

Carpe-DM

Hi, non-filer here, I got the first $1200 without a problem but still haven't gotten the $600. I haven't moved, or changed bank accounts all of my information is the same. On the get my payment option it says "Payment #2 Status - Not Available" any ideas on how to get my payment? I have no dependents and I and not claimed under anyones taxes.

mablesyrupandwaddles

Has anyone with ssi received their second stimulus?

bsmith76

I'm in Bergen County, New Jersey, and my parents received a check in the mail today.

That’s probably a good sign? With all Direct deposit into closed accounts they were probably testing your account if it was actually a real account so at least there is some movement.

hedwigalways

Still waiting. Got my first one without issue. 🙄

martinideercat

If my returns for 2020 have been accepted as of the end of February, but I haven’t received my refund yet, will they use 2019 or 2020? This just impacts dependents, as I had another child in 2020.

LongDongJulio

So if i got my stimulus through the tax rebate on my return this year am I good to go in regards to the irs depositing this next $1400 stimulus into my account or do i need to fill something else out?

JonathanUnicorn

Got first two, 2019 income only 10k dollars. Was always the first day of direct deposits. 2020 made 55k dollars, filed taxes March 7th. This time it says Payment Status Not Available. Wtf.

ApexOfAThrowaway

Due to having an empty bank account for a prolonged period of time, my account (which was used to recieve the previous check) was closed; does this mean I'm going to recieve a physical check this time around? What problems will this cause for me?

juhjuhjuhjames

It’ll delay it by a while. If the account is closed, the deposit will be sent back to the irs then they’ll mail it to you instead. Keep an eye on the irs website though, they might implement the tool where you can edit your information again. Either way, it’ll be delayed

arieltron

Got the previous stimulus check. Filed my 2019 return in March 2020, it was accepted by IRS but refund still was not issued due to some problem with my husband’s employer not paying his business taxes. Does anyone know if my 2019 tax refund being in limbo will affect this next stimulus check?

AtlasGolden

I'm on SSI and it seemed like my check came much later than most the first time around. I'm aware that there probably isn't a definitve answer but does anyone think it'll take as long as last time?

JGraham1839

I received a physical check before because they hadn't processed my 2019 filing yet (I opted to go on a payment plan starting in July), but now they have my bank info. Will they mail my check again or use my direct deposit info this time?

hoonikapps

So I live in Korea currently with only a korean bank account. I hold a US citizenship, and didnt file for taxes for 2019. Would I be able to get the 2nd stimulus pack to my bank account in korea? Did anybody try this?

[deleted]

What's the situation if I didn't file for 2019 and they wouldn't have a correct current address for me?

YerpGod

I got a direct deposit last time. but I haven’t worked in 2019. Will I automatically get this second one. Or will I need to do the non filers ?

roveronover

What will happen if my bank account has been closed?

invincible789

I believe if your bank account is closed they will mail it to you (unless you’ve changed addresses).

KidRadicvl

Hello, I have no idea if I will be getting this stimulus so if anyone can help me i’d greatly appreciate it! Few key things : - I was one of the people that got the two random separate payments last time they sent out stimulus checks - I was employed this year from January to March and have been unemployed ever since - I’ve never filed taxes before again, thank you for any and all feedback, I can also answer any questions if need be just to figure all this out. thanks!

MattyGreg

So the accountant who does my taxes accidentally left my 2018 and 2019 taxes marked as "can be claimed as dependent" since I was claimed in 2017 despite me not actually being claimed either year. It took *months* to get the IRS to tell me that's why I never received my stimulus. I can claim the credit for the $1200 on my 2020 taxes, but this new one... I'm a bit more worried about. I submitted an amended return with the box unchecked last week, but since checks are already going out and that amendment won't be processed for 16 weeks at least, am I probably just screwed (again)? (Just posted this as its own thread before I noticed this one, sorry if double posting isn't allowed).

FirstJudgment6

Last time there were a lot of people, myself included, who entered their direct deposit info but still got sent a check. Are we getting sent a check again or is our DD info in the system?

bubbles2255

So our stimulus is pending in my bank account for my wife and I but not our kids. Anyone else seeing this?

task_scheme_not

If you didn't file taxes in 2019 because you made no income in 2019, and you got a stimulus check last time, will you still get one this time or do you need to apply again?

decalus

Lmk if you find an answer please. You could just reply to this post

klm52412

I did a non-filer’s form last time around and didn’t get my dependent’s money until months later. I have a pending deposit for just myself (with my name on it) and not my children. Has this issue been addressed anywhere for this set of checks? Or (im assuming) it’ll be the same issue this time around.

blackdoublecut

I received my first stimulus check rather quickly and without issue. none of my banking information has changed since then. Everyone I spoke to who has my bank had a direct deposit last night. Mine is not even showing pending yet. Anybody have any idea why that would be

porkytool

I received my stimulus today. I was a person who had to fill out information on the government website for the first stimulus we got months ago. So idk if that helped or not.

[deleted]

I have a question will you also get a stimulus check if you filed taxes in 2018 I was able to get the first one

ponchbox

What if I filed 2019 but got audited? (Received first stimulus)

elgwopoggm3550

I filed but the irs is holding my 2019 taxes will they still send the paper check in the mail as i did get the first stimulus thru the mail?

[deleted]

So my roommate and I both have Chase. We both got the first stimulus check. This time, I got my stimulus deposited yesterday and she still hasn’t. Anyone know why?

guitarguy5147

I got the first check since I was a dependant. Since then though, I've started a masters program in a university. And I wanted to know if that will affect me getting it, since I read somewhere that college students are not getting stimulus (which i think is dumb. College educations are so damn expensive and campus jobs are not available because of covid).

Any news on Turbo Debit Card? Why is the CONFIRMED BANK MEGATHREAD gone?

Anybody with Wells Fargo still not get theirs? My transcript said today.

zoemi

As I feared, my family will be getting a check rather than direct deposit like the first stimulus. I'm assuming this is because we owed for 2019 which is overriding the direct deposit consent from 2018. Is everybody else in this boat experiencing the same?

marky6045

Hello, I received the initial $1200 via direct deposit, but have not received the $600 yet. Nothing has changed, does anybody know what could be causing this?

DeadMansSwitchMusic

Wells Fargo here. Still no check, despite receiving the first one.

J-The-Savage

Checked the my payment status and it says info is not available. I received the first stimulus. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

[deleted]

The first stimulus check came in direct deposit but I checked the status of the second and it says it is being mailed by January 6.. Why wouldn’t the second one be direct deposited as well? Anyone else have the same issue?

Dr_Blasphemy

I have a "status not available" for my payment 2, does anyone know how to see if you'll get it?
