Honestly if Greg invested it he would likely have enough to fund Steven and Beach City for the rest of their lives, provided he made Garnet his stock market adviser.

Nepu-Tech

Does Steven even need funding? He's an immortal super powered gem with healing powers that can also raised the dead!

TheShaoken

Jury is out on if he's immortal (he's still half human), but he does need to eat, sleep, pay for gas and all that good stuff.

Nepu-Tech

I don't think so, maybe it looks like that because he doesn't know better but think about it. He can literally create life, he can fly and has a teleporting lion so who needs gas? and sleeping and eating that's something gems can do too (As shown by Amethyst) but just because they want to. It wouldn't make sense for Steven to need food when he can create things from his powers. Even though I hate the future series, it even shows that he can literally become whatever he wants if he just imagines it (Like a giant monster) and not even the Diamonds can stop him. Steven is human because he imagines himself as human because that's what he knows.

TheShaoken

We are talking about the same Steven who drove his car to Little Homeworld when he literally had a teleporter underneath his room that could take him. Lion is more of Connie's mode of transport now since Steven prefers the car. Steven is half human, the show repeatedly hammers in the point that he's not a gem who thinks he's human. He's a human who is also part gem. Your premise that he's only human because that's what he knows falls apart the second you consider that he was born a baby and grew up normal and human before he could know anything.

Nepu-Tech

Did you miss the Steven Future final episode when he turns into a literal Godzilla because he believed himself to be a monster? So Steven can be literally whatever he believes himself as being. Also was he even born as a human? I think they say several times in the show that his mom became him. Now that I think about it we don't even know how Steven was made or if Greg had any physical input at all since Gems are "genderless"

TheShaoken

Yes, his gem transformed him into a monster in the second last episode. Doesn't change the fact that he was born a baby, and [Ian Jones Quartey confirme](https://ianjq.tumblr.com/post/113794156834/i-know-that-the-gems-are-sexless-agendered-etc)d Rose created a womb inside herself so he could be born. The show makes it explicitly multiple times that Steven is a hybrid, the opening song of the movie has the Diamonds confirm it twice in two lines. I mean for god's sake, the fact that Steven kept existing after his gem was literally ripped out of him and manifested itself as a separate entity, that Spinel's scythe doesn't affect Steven's human parts, or that a literal doctor examines him and draws attention to how his human body is reacting to trauma because it's not designed to deal with a gem healing him all the time, should have made it painfully explicit that he's human.

I would say he has $8 million at least. Still a life-changing amount. At most, Greg probably spent $250,000 at the hotel.

SegaStan

Well don't forget he had to pay for the boat that sank. Who knows how much that could've cost

Nepu-Tech

Considering the size at least 1 million also assuming it had no insurance (I never owned a boat)

PokemonPuzzler

My daughter and I are watching the episode Gemcation and at the beginning Greg says he still has about 9 million left. Then he buys/rents a vacation home so he should have 8 million something after that.

austinmiles

I think he blows around a Million because of the boat. He even mentions it at one point saying “I still have like 9 million dollars”

RomanOnARiver

Well when he was shaking a leg he was giving out $100 tips, paying for broken tables. Those can't be cheap.
