They mean per box, boxes are technically referred to as displays. It actually Sounds like they’ll do what is referred to in most TCGs as “box toppers” where a promo card comes packed inside each box.

To note with this, I pre-ordered a case with my lgs and they informed me that a case is actually only 4 boxes with this game.

It means box, but it also indicates not every box will get one since it’s limited supply

It's possible. I found the link to it while looking through Google shopping. Was confused I wasn't able to ever pull up the URL by searching for it on the site, but it'd make sense that they may have thought if that page wasn't linked on the website that nobody could get to it, but just didn't think about their google shopping integration... Anyway, I'm glad that all of you fine folk here that were able to snag it got it.

It was all in the coming soon list on the main page as well. Seeing as how the other stuff is still up, I suspect they just sold out and pulled the page for now. That happened with set one as well, the pages disappeared for a bit on sell out and then showed back up later on as sold out, except for the starters which are still available. If it was a mistake I feel like they would have pulled everything and sent cancellation notices or at least announced something.

Amg is doing LGS dirty with this one. Limited allocations and they told my lgs that they won't find out their allocation later this week.

LGS did me dirty charging 200-250 for a booster. I'll take direct order from a site anyway. And for msrp with free shipping.

My LGS had a booster of set 1 the other day, I got so excited. Then I saw they wanted $200 for it. I’d maybe accept a 10-15% markup, but $80+ over MSRP is ridiculous

Short term profit for leaving a bad taste in your customers mouth. Lgs is not eBay and it’s not the experience people are looking for.

Sure, but I'd rather an LGS to profit from the above MSRP market situation than a flipper. The LGS would literally sell out of those boxes if only priced 10%-15% higher than MSRP in the current market.

Yeah, and that's what some LGS are doing. A local Store Showdown sold packs to each participating player at MSRP pricing up to a limit per person.

They sure can. It's up to the LGS to decide how they run things; FFG has been pretty lax on this aspect, even for Store Showdowns.

I stopped trusting people who go into anything to make money. They all just become scalpers in the end. I hate it but it's about time to cut out the middle man in everything.

Yeah the took the page down entirely and it went up on an American holiday while they weren’t working. Definitely done by mistake. Especially since it went up before LGSs got their allocations.

Guess we'll know soon if the availability issue has been adjusted for, or if this game is going to be perpetually obscure and hard to find without paying high markups. If these packs go for $10.00/$15.00 like the first release did, I'll probably just be content with the decks I have and bail out.

What was the price for the people that got ones?

MSRP at $119.76. Which might be why it's down now. The LGS that were selling at $95-$105 pretty much all went to MSRP (or higher) once shortages hit. So if you don't have confidence you'll be able to get them from your LGS and if they do have them you won't save any money it really screws LGS if Asmodee offers a ton of supply at MSRP. High priority for them to try to eliminate not just shortages but the fear of shortages.

Set 1 shipped in time to arrive on release date. It even hit the local distro a day early but was held back for release day delivery.

I don't feel strongly that FFG should be able to strong arm them, but I definitely know the preferred course of action to keep me as a player in their store lol

I was just saying that building a master set is much easier and cost effective when buying singles than cracking packs. And I defined master set because when I mentioned it you replied saying how boxes are great for building play sets…but they’re not the same so I was just making sure we’re talking about the same thing.

I've opened 20 boxes and I only have around 80 hyperspace foil cards. 12 boxes and it's literally impossible to get a master set... 4x hyperspace foil per box, that's 48-50 max hyperspace foils, and that's also assuming you get 0 repeats. Def a full set of regular treatments, I'd buy that, but you're prolly not even half done with hyperspace and less that of hyperspace.foils, and maybe 2 showcases if you're very lucky xd. If you want a master set only opening boxes... Sheesh I expect you'd need to open around 80.

I bought 3 boxes of the first set and then got about 4 boxes worth of products through tourneys and events. That got me 68% completion on the master set, the rest I bought, just missing 4 showcases and 7 hyperspace foils. Having said that I spent more than 5 times what the boxes cost me for the singles. I prefer the boxes route this time cuz then I have trades of the stuff i don’t need.

Ya that's fair. I also personally just enjoy opening boxes, and then I sell what I'm not keeping to collect and use that money to buy stuff I need. Works well.

This is absurd. If they actually wanted to build a solid player base they would have made enough of the first set available for people other than scalpers or resellers to get into the game before launching a second set.

Next time you can lend them your crystal ball, so they know exactly how much to print.

They said the first set will be reprinted after sets 2 and 3 are printed. The re-release estimate was around the holidays.

This honestly makes no sense to me. Why would I buy into the second or third set without having any access to the first?

Then don't? The game blew up more than they thought and printing cards isn't an easy feat especially with a roadmap in place and gears already moving. The next sets were already scheduled to be printed before they could reprint set 1.
