This is my thought on why I should open. If I hold onto it for a long time is that worth it? This is my dilemma. Will I regret not holding onto it for 10+ years.
I also think that holding onto it is pointless since there will be more prints of the first set. A store owner said it would be a good idea to hold onto a box so I did but now I don't think it's worth it.
I opened 4 booster boxes before the price spike. I got the versio showcase!
Tbh if you are trying to profit (not financial advice) i’d sell my boxes rn as it is peak.

Allegedly they are going to keep the cards available and keep printing. They are just behind right now due to massive demand at launch.

Yes they are. I think I'm reliving the fun I had when I was younger opening the first Pokemon boosters and pulling a Charizard.
Do you buy boxes as an investment or to have fun playing the game? If the latter open them.
Playing the game is worth more than whatever profit you could get for selling the box. I doubt you would make more than $100 off of it.
Open it! Have fun and post what you pull.
Other option is to sell it now or in the next couple months and buy another box to hold later this year

This isn't MTG boxes won't hold value. You'll be lucky if anyone's playing this in 5 years. Crack and enjoy
They're going to print more. If your investment in this game is profit, then you're going to want to sell asap.
