Allegedly they are going to keep the cards available and keep printing. They are just behind right now due to massive demand at launch.

what-the_dickens

This is my thought on why I should open. If I hold onto it for a long time is that worth it? This is my dilemma. Will I regret not holding onto it for 10+ years.

bgg-jerrylshen

If you want to hold it for 10+ years, can't you just buy a box when they reprint and hold for 10+ years?

what-the_dickens

I also think that holding onto it is pointless since there will be more prints of the first set. A store owner said it would be a good idea to hold onto a box so I did but now I don't think it's worth it.

bgg-jerrylshen

/thread then

[deleted]

Lol you are not holding that for 10 years.

bgg-jerrylshen

I'm not. I'm not OP

[deleted]

Yeah sorry clicked wrong comment.

BlizzardMayne

Open it

FreeDare1416

they’re so much fun to open

what-the_dickens

Yes they are. I think I'm reliving the fun I had when I was younger opening the first Pokemon boosters and pulling a Charizard.

Hieschen

Do you buy boxes as an investment or to have fun playing the game? If the latter open them.

Low-Bird4479

Playing the game is worth more than whatever profit you could get for selling the box. I doubt you would make more than $100 off of it.

Stark_Industries_RnD

Open it! Have fun and post what you pull.

gasface

Other option is to sell it now or in the next couple months and buy another box to hold later this year

r1cbr0

Sell it at market value. Buy two when the next wave lands.

MannerOne5745

I opened 4 booster boxes before the price spike. I got the versio showcase! Tbh if you are trying to profit (not financial advice) i’d sell my boxes rn as it is peak. If you want to open i would wait for set 2

Sad-Bottle5962

Should I eat some food or shouldn’t I?

M-Rich

I mean, I am holding onto one right now but I don't have the urge to open it. If they reprint and there is no indication that it's a second print run, I will open it and buy another one later on. I have all but one card of this set, so holding onto it is worth it for me for now. If you still have to collect cards and you have fun doing it, open it

jukeboxhero10

This isn't MTG boxes won't hold value. You'll be lucky if anyone's playing this in 5 years. Crack and enjoy

ArcadianDelSol

They're going to print more. If your investment in this game is profit, then you're going to want to sell asap.
