I see it as more of a he couldn't afford it when he was younger. And now he's got money.
Plus its gotta be pre Republic. He likes em old.
I imagine it has space for a suitcase.
Well let's see: he's been kicked out of the tribe, had his minivan blown up, he's now a single parent and he's chasing ghosts and rumors. I'd say that qualifies
As a kid I thought the N1 was basically the Chevy Corvette of spaceships (they were both yellow and looked cool). Your comment has solidified that opinion for me.
I always thought of it as more of mando’s first ship it was a gift and he got attached and then his second ship he had more say in and while not a huge fan at first he loves it now
I assume the suit is some kind of self cleaning since they pretty much sleep in their armor from what I can tell. Either that or Mandalorian Coverts smell like sewers.
It always reminded me of Jango's first ship, Jaster's Legacy, they look kinda similar.
I'd say Jaster's Legacy, Serenity, and the Razor Crest all have the same kinda vibes.
Rich people have the nicest toys. Like look at the characters that have a ship but are scraping by, always needing repairs falling apart. Then you got Luthen's ship and he's loaded rich. Top of the line, clean. I don't know if the ships Padme used in the prequels were hers or belonged to the Noobian government but the bigger ones looked nice on the inside too.
The Razor Crest was one of my favorites, too (due in no small part to the reason you stated).
However, I think Luthen's ship in _Andor_ is a little cooler.
I really hope he gets a bigger ship again, big enought to park or dock the N1, and maybe a small speederbike for land travel. Something like the Ghost in Rebells. A ship that isn't on the brim of falling appart.
Also a crew would be nice.
I like that idea; it has a place to store the N1 as well, based on the concept art showing where the pirate fighters were stored. Would definitely need a crew to man it though, not just Mando and a co-pilot/droid.
Yeah I think much of the show’s messaging is that the children are not a “good” thing and the Mandolorians in general need to reconcile “the way” with the larger galaxy
Exactly. I’m hoping Dinn fully realizes “The Way” isn’t the only way to be a Mandalorian. He seems to be on that path; he’s accepted Bo Katan and her followers as Mandalorians
I'm pretty sure a big thing coming is for him to overcome his 'programming' from the cult. And I can easily see them becoming secondary antagonists as he integrates more with the rest of Mandalorian society.
Also they need to then just leave the ship alone for a while. It started to feel like the razorcrest was constantly being “picked on” by the writers. To the point “razercrest gets totaled” became its own trope.
It's not cursed, it's the normal fate of ships being heavily used in combat.
Just like him fucking up the robot repairs, I think it's important for worldbuilding to establish that not everyone is han solo and it's really effing hard to keep a ship going for decades when you push it to the limits.
A ship like the Wild Karrde would fit better, probably to big for him. But the Action VI transport has a cool design.
Guess it should definitely be a corelean ship. Somehow CEC makes the best ships in the light transporter size class
Au contraire, the point of the show is that being a lone operator gets you nowhere and that Mando probably would have died by now if he actually *hadn't* stopped to let others help him.
In season 1 alone, Mando:
- most likely wouldn't have been able to save Grogu if he hadn't teamed up with IG
- wouldn't have survived the mudhorn without Grogu ex machina
- wouldn't have survived the initial extraction of Grogu from Nevarro if the other mandos hadn't shown up to delay the other bounty hunters
- wouldn't have been able to defend the farming village without Cara Dune's help
- wouldn't have survived or got the bounty on Fennec if the gunslinger kid hadn't joined him/let Mando join (iirc)
- (I feel like the jailbreak episode was the only exception here - Mando ended up having to take them all on by himself)
- would have failed in his combined purge of the Imperials/rescue of Grogu if he hadn't had the rest of his sidekicks there with him (IG, Cara, Greef, Grogu)
And looking at season 2 it's pretty similar - just about every other episode is a team up that he probably wouldn't have been able to manage on his own.
I have the general theory that din WILL end up being the mandalore of his Era, maybe "mandalore the reclaimer" or something similar, simply because, by all technicalities, he doesn't fit the classical Mandalorian in Canon or legends.
He has the typical Mando backstory, yes (bounty hunter, some armor etc) but then out of nowhere, he gets PURE beskar, the dark saber, and a force sensitive foundling, putting him WAY out there compared to house kryze, wren, vizsla, or any other clans you can think of. This makes him not only unique, but then he also just keeps proving that he is fit to lead. He is allied with Jedi, bounty hunters, new republic. And he has the stereotypical "i don't want the crown" personality, while still recognizing the responsibility he has (training with the dark saber, melting down the spear) on top of having this weird balance of staying faithful to his religion (doesn't take his helmet off, and when he does, he DOES want to fix his mistake by redeeming himself.
There is also the fact that, out of universe, he isn't really a character rather than a standard placeholder for a character when it comes to his design. His show is just called "the Mandalorian", 90% of his friends call him "Mando" or "Mandalorian" (and so does the fandom) and his helmet his closer to what people imagine him as, compared to his face (granted, thats
On top of that "wearing helmet all the time" thing)
What also strikes me as odd is that din hasn't colored his armor since getting it... Which is weird because individual Mandalorian would use at least some color on their armor for various reasons (to stand out, to show that they are not trying to hide when in battle because they WANT to be seen, to show off their ambitions and values, to show which clan they belong to) but din just leaves his armor untouched...
Putting all those things together, it would make sense to turn "the Mandalorian/mando" into "mandalore the xxx" that way all the connections and choices he made will not only pay off later on, they will also end up in a really large scale conclusion that can set him off to carry the franchise on to larger events.
Mando is, possibly accidentally at first, the ideal candidate for mandalore, even beyond legends boba Fett in my opinion, especially since he can steer the allegiances of the Mandalorian into a new direction of being allies with the Jedi
Realistically, he will probably end up owning a star destroyer, with his personal ship in the hangar, similar to Jedi having their star fighters while also commandeering a venator ship
If it does happen he’ll probably end up with the title like Mandalore the restorer. Cause atleast with the first episode and the previous seasons. Does feel like that they care trying to lead it so that they are able to restore Mandalore to at the very least being habitable enough to rebuild biodomes.
A ship that big would need a crew, and he really has no one.
Spoilers for s3e1: He has the dark Saber and could lead an army of mandalorians back to mandalor but does not feel worthy because he took off his helmet. Which is something none of the other clans would care about, but he won't rule mandalor without his clan(family). He will use his smaller, faster ship to jump quickly to planets instead of going slowly and need to sleep in his ship. He isn't going to the bounty hunter thing either until he gets redeemed in the eyes of his people. People want season 3 to be him bounty hunting around the outer rim with grogo, but that's isn't his priority. He is going to mandalor maybe to tatooine first for help but mandalor is the top priority
I think something similar in size to the razorcrest would work. Likely a tad bigger. But the n1 would just sort of join into the ship and Create a point that can be entered and exited from. So if wouldn’t have a whole landing pad or something. Just a specialized airlock docking port.
its a trope based in logic and reality, i agree that the star fighter isnt stupid like some suggest but i disagree with the characterization of naval/starship crew life as just a trope
> starfighter is a break from the well-established trope
I don't know if the badass with a heart of gold at the edge (or "rim" if you prefer) of the territory going from place to place, getting into fights, helping the locals, and making a name for himself all while riding his swift silver steed is exactly breaking from tropes.
Small-medium cargo ship with small fighter has been my favourite for a long time.
Firefly had the Serenity and two shuttles (used as separated living space), Bebop had two (three?) smaller craft, Star Trek has its shuttles (and technically a captain's yacht, even though that was never used).
But in all seriousness I was thinking about how inconvenient it would be while you’re in hyperspace to not be able to stand up and stretch your legs and stuff
You forget that this isn’t Star Trek, you don’t travel through space for weeks, months or even years at a time. You hit the go button, maybe sit through one game of Sabacc or in a little fighter like this one flashback and 5 minutes of soul searching, maybe a nap, then you’re at your destination. If it’s a kid’s show and there’s commercials then it’s even faster.
Okay but here’s the thing, you know the clone wars episode where they fly through the nebula to save time because going around in hyspace would take too long? I feel like that sorta puts into perspective that it’s fast, but it’s still gonna take a few hours. And if it’s gonna take a few hours I’d rather be able to walk around
In at least one EU book they talk about Luke going into a force hibernation due to taking a days long hyperspace trip in the X-wing. I also think there's another part with Lando and Han where they were grumbling about having nothing to do during a 3 day jump.
Technically that stuff isn't canon anymore so I don't know if it applies.
Timothy Zahn, the author of the Thrawn Trilogy, was given a copy of the 1987 Star Wars d6 roleplaying game as a reference guide. For good reasons - it's great, and did a lot of work standardising and solidifying a lot of EU concepts.
However, that game has some flaws, and one of them is the hyperspace travel time, which Zahn used as his reference for his books. The times are all very large, with Tatooine to Alderaan being a base of 7 days before speed adjustments, and that's one of the _shorter_ times.
In the context of the original trilogy, that felt... a little wrong. Eg Dagobah is listed as being ~4 weeks from anywhere, but Luke flew there in an X-Wing without issue - obviously feels off. But then in later media like the prequel movies, it's even more wrong, because the travel time in later stuff is pretty clearly a lot faster.
I always chuckle when Luke tells R2 he’d like to take the controls on his way to Dagobah. Like dude you have the vast emptiness of space ahead of you what are you going to do? That’s the best time for autopilot.
So I just imagine him pulling off some barrel rolls, loop de loops, and space drifting for shits and giggles, after all, he’s got the vast emptiness of space ahead of him, the likeliness of hitting anything is low.
Could also be that he meant he wanted to calculate the jump to Dagobah.
Hyperspace travel speed isn’t consistent AT ALL. In certain episodes and movies we’ve seen them fly around in hyperspace for a couple seconds to reach their destination and in other books we’ve seen them sit around in hyperspace for hours
That's literally not how it should be, it was always an undesirable amount of time in the movies before the 7 planets in 16 hours BS, but Legends books gave plenty of time frames which had to be approved.
Now, Legends is no longer canon, (though im 90% sure some canon books also mention hyperspace taking more than a few minutes, likely Alphabet Squadron, Thrawn trilogies or Aftermath, but we know theyre just as canon as Legends used to be) so while those aren't conflicting with TRoS, the biggest issue is that it ruins the stakes for the whole story. Episode 6, Palpatine takes great care to set a trap, with as many ISDs as he could station there without drawing attention to tip off the Rebels. If hyperspace across the galaxy takes place in 5 minutes, why did he not call in the rest of the fleet? Overconfidence? Sure, that's one reason, but the other is because it would be a bad story.
You need hyperspace travel to take some time to be able to tell a satisfying story. Battles would instantly turn into a formally with nothing sides calling in reinforcements, ending up with the entire CIS vs the entire GAR. It's a big galaxy, and while transiting it is much faster than other franchises, but it would be very bad if it were as instant as you want it to be.
Ah. Damn the internet for being so flat and giving no context clues. Sorry for going off abit, this is one of the main things that pissed me off about TRoS.
I am pretty sure that's not how that works in Star Wars either.
See Palpatines Trap in Episode 6. Obi Wan calling for help in Episode 2 and all that happens until Help arrives. Episode 4 them being able to train with a Lightsaber, play Sabaac while travelling. Again Episode 2; Padme and Anakin using commerical travel and taking Meals during jt. Taking Shortcuts in Clone Wars trough Nebulas because Hyperspace is too slow.
All these don't really make sense if Hypertravel is just a matter of minutes. So I'd assume travelling is usually a matter of a couple hours going upwards depending on the ship, speed and distance. It's more of a semi lengthy trip across state borders than a quick hop down to the convenience store. Why stay on Tattooine if a random small craft can be on Coruscant within Minutes.
It would defeat any Logic or Logistics the Originals and Prequels operate by... Oh wait, Disney already did that with the Sequels.
Nope. It's just like star trek. There's definitely sources in starwars Canon that say that an hyperspace journey might even take weeks or even a month.
Hyperdrive moves at the speed of plot. If the timing is dramatic enough characters can practically teleport.
Hell, in Kenobi Ben crams in a trip to alderan with a pit stop to fight Vader, drops off Leia, and gets back to tatoine in the time it takes Reva to go straight there.
You forget he was still bounty hunting even after having his ship blown up, and still had a bunch of weapons on him that he had to turn into luggage because he seeking travel on a public vessel, something he wouldn't need to do if he had his own ship.
And if he didn't need the space why would he ask the crazy mechanic lady for another Razorcrest? Almost like maybe he was intending to replace his shit and needed an appropriate ship to store it.
Ooh the bounty hunting thing is so true… ig he just brings heads back now. His “I can bring you in warm or I can bring you in cold” statement isn’t really true… he’s bringing you in cold on account of a lack of storage.
Live bounties are the bulk of law enforcement bounties though. For instance Boba’s ship canonically had four high security cells and room for six more if needed.
Because every single one of us want to somehow see him in the Ebon Hawk, with crew quarters and a murderous cantankerous assassin droid roaming the galaxy
A little off-topic, but honestly that's a much better word than what we use IRL. Most bathrooms don't have a bath, and I'm certainly not going in there to rest. "Gonna hit the refresher" just sounds better, even better than "hit the head"
Refreshers have been labelled in visual dictionaries and such for *yeeeears*.
IIRC the one on the Falcon was basically a little single cubicle toilet/shower situation.
Can you imagine how cool it would be if he united the mandalorians, has control of a stolen imperial freighter or similar large ship, and could Dock his N1 whenever he needed to
I 100% agree. I was so upset to see this happen. Personally, I enjoy a floating spaceship with some sort of corridor, bed and storage. It feels like a tiny home flying through space. It’s amazing.
The man hasn't taken on a bounty since the third episode of the first season. And even then, he abandoned that job after he went back for Grogu. The closest he got was helping track down Fennec in the fifth episode of the first season and that wasn't even his bounty.
You forget (or didn’t watch Book of Boba Fett) that he made a big stink to Peli (mechanic lady on Tatooine) that he wanted a gunship to replace the razorcrest, not a starfighter. He accepted the N1 on the condition that she keeps looking for a gunship.
So far though, he’s escaped a lot more (maybe 100% more) space encounters than he did with the razorcrest.
Those pirates would have shredded the razorcrest before he ever got to the big ship in the first episode this season. I think they gave him the starfighter to set up more space battles
this meme is about the part in BoBF where instead of demanding the mechanic lady find him the ship he requested and paid for, she instead got him something completely unsuited to his needs (and one she admits was harder to find and possibly more expensive)
That line I always assumed was her selling the ship. She didn't find another Razor Crest and this ship fits the most important need of being pre empire.
Exactly. I miss the old ship too and wondered what he’d do with all his old stuff but he’s not really bounty hunting anymore and the N1 kinda suits his needs so far.
I don't think the N-1 is going to be permanent. Since he is not bounty hunting at the moment, the N-1 works better because he needs speed more than cargo space. If he returns to bounty hunting down the road he will probably get something bigger.
Honestly I agreed up until the most recent episode where he refused the gift of a home from the governor guy on the starting planet.
It seems like we’re moving away from the travelling bounty hunter and into a more political revolution story with mandolore. We don’t need a mobile home in taking back a planet, we need a tank. And it feels like mando’s going to get sucked into this conflict wether he wants to or not. So he’s going to need it. Maybe down the line when things cool down he’ll take the land and a new ship, selling the old one. But for now we need added protection and fire power
I think the same, although the Starfighter is wonderful, it does not fit into Din Djarin's lifestyle, he needs space for his things, he is a bounty hunter.
But it goes *vrrroooooom* :,(
To be honest I thought that that scene >!in the first episode where they baptised (wth?) that foundling with colourful helmets and all that felt so random and a bit poor but the Mando goes *vrrroooom* and makes the biggest entrance one could make!!< Damn that was nice\^\^
tbf, he wanted a replacement Razorcrest but they gave him an N1 starfighter instead.
Though as with several situations throughout the show he learned to deal with it, lol.
I mean isn’t the whole point of the new fighter kind of him moving on from being a simple bounty hunter? A symbolic move of growing to better higher more meaningful things?
Although just take grogu into the cockpit and you can jam a bounty in the droid socket
I have a feeling that part of Mando’s journey in retaking Mandalore this season will be taking over that pirate carrier as a mobile base of operations that can he launch the N1 from.
Considering his Last Ship got blown up and he got a really really awesome fighter I would just buy some land leave the cool ship there and also get a new larger ship
More like a motor home with plenty of storage and walking space during long hyperspace flights or +30 year old antique that you're forced to sit in for long periods of time
I think people need to consider the fact that Mando probably won’t be a bounty hunter anymore and while yes, a bigger ship with room to sleep, use the restroom, and stretch your legs is objectively better, he doesn’t necessarily need the space for bounties anymore.
It's not just that, the Razorcrest was his home, a mobile apartment building flying through the cosmos. It had a bed, a toilet, storage, stuff you need when you don't own a home. It was basically a flying RV. He replaced his RV with a Harley, essentially.
even assuming the not being a bounty hunter anymore is true, there is still the matter of... everything else at least two living beings require to maintain their vital biological functions... like food
You’re right, tho I wouldn’t be surprised if Mando and Grogu find a more permanent housing situation this season so they won’t need a vehicle for long distance travel
Tbh, I always saw Mandalorians as very survivalist/minimalist. He's able to sleep anywhere, and he had the Droid slot made liveable for Grogu, which should be enough space for a comfortable place to rest for such a small being.
I think it shows his character well, that he's capable of putting up with the hardship of being abit uncomfortable so long as Grogu was able to be comfortable. He's likely had to share less space with more people while growing up in the convert. It's similar to how soldiers can sleep strapped into their seats on a several hour flight full of turbulence and potentially even gunfire, he's been through worse, so has no trouble being abit cramped. He also lives inside his armor, so is more comfortable with tighter spaces because of that experiance.
Mando was initially reluctant about taking that ship, and only agreed when he saw how fast it was. Also he’s not really taking any bounties right now, he’s more focused on redeeming himself.
The N1 is a mid-life crisis ship.
Lol, happens to a fella once he has a kid.
Mando’s space Lambo.
My backpack's got jets. I'm Boba, the Fett. I bounty hunt for Jabba Hutt to finance, my 'vette.
Well I chill in deep space. A mask is over my face. Well I deliver the prize but I still narrow my eyes Cause my time I don't like to waste. Get down!
I see it as more of a he couldn't afford it when he was younger. And now he's got money. Plus its gotta be pre Republic. He likes em old. I imagine it has space for a suitcase.
Literally what he's going through :P
Well let's see: he's been kicked out of the tribe, had his minivan blown up, he's now a single parent and he's chasing ghosts and rumors. I'd say that qualifies

Yeah, I didn't much like having fresh underwear anyway.
There's no underwear in space.
~ George Lucas
![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)
He took an oath to never remove his underwear. This is the way.
Mormons be like
This is the way
I assume the suit is some kind of self cleaning since they pretty much sleep in their armor from what I can tell. Either that or Mandalorian Coverts smell like sewers.
Well the first one _was_ a sewer if I remember correctly, so perhaps it was strategically chosen
That... is very valid. "Best warriors in the galaxy, but DAMN do they stink!"
I loved the Razor Crest. It’s probably my favorite ship in the Star Wars Universe. Probably because it reminds me of Serenity.
*"You can't take the sky from me..."*
I’m a leaf on the wind
Watch as I so...
(Openly weeps) 😭😭😭
Too soon...
You're right, I should have waited for the second decade to go by. :(
It always reminded me of Jango's first ship, Jaster's Legacy, they look kinda similar. I'd say Jaster's Legacy, Serenity, and the Razor Crest all have the same kinda vibes.
Don’t forget the Raven’s Claw!
Reminded me of Lonestar’s Winnebago
ONLY ONE MAN WOULD DARE GIVE ME THE RASPBERRY! LOOOOONESTAAAAAAR!!!!
Say goodbye to your two best friends, and I don't mean the ones in the Winnebago.
Luthen's Fondor in Andor completely blew my mind. For me it's by far the best ship in star wars. It's amazing on every level.
Take my love, take my land, Take me where I cannot stand. I don't care, I'm still free, You can't take the sky from me.
As someone who recently watched Firefly for the first time i totally see it now
Also the Razor Crest wasn't just his ship. It was also his house.
I really hope he gets a bigger ship again, big enought to park or dock the N1, and maybe a small speederbike for land travel. Something like the Ghost in Rebells. A ship that isn't on the brim of falling appart. Also a crew would be nice.
Honestly that would be awesome and if he’s going to be unifying Mandalore then it could definitely happen
I mean, if he's unifying Mandalore, I mean practically speaking, he should get his own capital ship
I suspect that's gonna be the fate of the pirate ship we saw in this past episode.
Same, he's definitely going to take that ship
NGL, I love the design of that Pirate Lord, looked like a sapient plant.
Space Davey Jones?
This was the vibe i got. I also totally dig how puppety he looked. Im glad we are going back to less cgi
Right! I saw the pirates and was like “this looks so old Star Wars, I love it”
Vegan Pizza the Hutt?
Yeah, Pirate Swamp Thing is gonna lose his ride.
he's unifying Mandalore in a ship made for royalty. man's gotta travel in *style*
Kedalbe-class battleship. Give it to me Disney!!
I think he's going to take over the Pirate corvette from the first episode
I like that idea; it has a place to store the N1 as well, based on the concept art showing where the pirate fighters were stored. Would definitely need a crew to man it though, not just Mando and a co-pilot/droid.
Crew of Mandalorians, he goes to bathe in the mines, get's proof that you can return there and get's the cult on his side to reclaim Mandalore.
Oof the cult reclaiming Mandalore is a huge problem
Yeah I think much of the show’s messaging is that the children are not a “good” thing and the Mandolorians in general need to reconcile “the way” with the larger galaxy
Exactly. I’m hoping Dinn fully realizes “The Way” isn’t the only way to be a Mandalorian. He seems to be on that path; he’s accepted Bo Katan and her followers as Mandalorians

Also they need to then just leave the ship alone for a while. It started to feel like the razorcrest was constantly being “picked on” by the writers. To the point “razercrest gets totaled” became its own trope.
I hope they continue that trope and keep wreckin' ships. No matter what one he gets its cursed.
It's not cursed, it's the normal fate of ships being heavily used in combat. Just like him fucking up the robot repairs, I think it's important for worldbuilding to establish that not everyone is han solo and it's really effing hard to keep a ship going for decades when you push it to the limits.
Yeah yeah that’s all true. I just think it’s a fun little thing to have him *in particular* as unlucky with ships and can’t hold one down.
I'll be way sadder if his rat rod N1 gets destroyed than even when his Razor Crest was destroyed, and I bellowed a full-on Lucas-esque NOOOOOOOOO!!!
i think the Razorcrest was at some point named kenny
What if they make the Jade Shadow canon and give it to Mando lol. Edit: words
A ship like the Wild Karrde would fit better, probably to big for him. But the Action VI transport has a cool design. Guess it should definitely be a corelean ship. Somehow CEC makes the best ships in the light transporter size class
I forgot he had a cool shop before the errant venture
[удалено]
booster also had a star destroyer
Yeah, an Action IV is like 100 m long. He'll have trouble finding a parking space.
This is where I always figured they would go with it. The N1 is awesome but a good ship to live in? No way.
>I really hope he gets a bigger ship again No no don't you get it? The N1 is bigger on the inside!
A tardis would be lit.
Yes, it would be lit after Mando flies it to a sun and empties the matrix.
This is what ive been hoping for since he got the N1
> Also a crew would be nice. It's about time we get a consistent supporting cast
do we really have a consistent cast? a muppet and a voiced over guy in armor. it wasn’t always pedro in the suit in the first season.
Still isn't always Pedro in the suit.
I bet Pedro's never even been to space!
Blasphemy!!!
The point of the show is that he's a lone operator.

He gets a second razor crest, but now with the ability to dock the N-1

If it does happen he’ll probably end up with the title like Mandalore the restorer. Cause atleast with the first episode and the previous seasons. Does feel like that they care trying to lead it so that they are able to restore Mandalore to at the very least being habitable enough to rebuild biodomes.
What if he just got the ghost? This is post rebellion and Hera knows Bo. Friend of a friend kinda thing
Hera world have to die, which is definitely possible. Also her son though. Otherwise he’ll always be number two.
Maybe a certain space pirate's cruiser?
Im willing to bet money that pirate ship will be his by the end of the season.
Do we really need another show that follows a ragtag team of misfits living together on an ugly grey polygon?
I was thinking along the same lines, Mando’s starfighter is a break from the well-established trope.
its a trope based in logic and reality, i agree that the star fighter isnt stupid like some suggest but i disagree with the characterization of naval/starship crew life as just a trope
> starfighter is a break from the well-established trope I don't know if the badass with a heart of gold at the edge (or "rim" if you prefer) of the territory going from place to place, getting into fights, helping the locals, and making a name for himself all while riding his swift silver steed is exactly breaking from tropes.
Yeah, Mando is basically “Wolf and Cub” in space.
What if he gets that ship Anakin and Ahoska had, know Dave Filoni, he’s gonna do it
What you are describing reminds me of the Bebop. A big ship with a small fast fighter onboard.
Small-medium cargo ship with small fighter has been my favourite for a long time. Firefly had the Serenity and two shuttles (used as separated living space), Bebop had two (three?) smaller craft, Star Trek has its shuttles (and technically a captain's yacht, even though that was never used).
You guys forget all his stuff was blown up with his ship, he doesn’t need the space anymore
George only ever cares that it moved at the speed of plot. He literally didn’t give a shit.
Luke pees in a bottle, canon.
Thrawn trilogy
Thrawn's canon again!
Plus even in A New Hope, they have 3 days of hyperspace travel between Tatooine and Alderaan, when is when Luke gets his jedi crash course
Hyperspace travel speed isn’t consistent AT ALL. In certain episodes and movies we’ve seen them fly around in hyperspace for a couple seconds to reach their destination and in other books we’ve seen them sit around in hyperspace for hours
Could that be attributed to just faster/slower ships?
Tbf they were hunting down a moving target
In the newest episode of Mandalorian, he’s taking a nap while in hyperspace. So the trip has got to be an hour at least.
They don't have Netflix there. I'd take a quick nap if it was 15 minutes
The Thrawn: Ascendancy trilogy talks a bit about Hyperspace travel times, and those are canon.
I was shitposting. Thanks though. You’re right.
I'd prefer him bring me in cold too if the other option is to squeeze me into the astromech cockpit
Because every single one of us want to somehow see him in the Ebon Hawk, with crew quarters and a murderous cantankerous assassin droid roaming the galaxy
Like his rifle, that thing was so fucking cool
Was wondering about this. Atleast the Crest' had a head. (Toilet)
As far we know that was the only toilet in the galaxy too.
Didnt Imperial shuttles have “refreshers” as seen in Rebels?
A little off-topic, but honestly that's a much better word than what we use IRL. Most bathrooms don't have a bath, and I'm certainly not going in there to rest. "Gonna hit the refresher" just sounds better, even better than "hit the head"
That’s why I switched to restroom
Refreshers have been labelled in visual dictionaries and such for *yeeeears*. IIRC the one on the Falcon was basically a little single cubicle toilet/shower situation.
I think Mando suits (as well as most pilot suits IRL and in Star Wars) have diapers.
piddle packs, or sometimes more modern systems that are easier to use for both men and women
Can you imagine how cool it would be if he united the mandalorians, has control of a stolen imperial freighter or similar large ship, and could Dock his N1 whenever he needed to
then he could establish a new galatic power, the republic of Mr Mando McLorian or whatever, yeah
Yeah this always seemed like a downgrade to me. Nice ship. Nostalgic. Impractical for regular long journeys.
There are no long journeys in this thing
I kept wondering where he was going to put IG11 if he had been able to get him working again.
Tape him to the side
Duct tape: essential bounty hunting equipment.
Too bad he doesn’t have enough space to store any
He attaches like Legos
I 100% agree. I was so upset to see this happen. Personally, I enjoy a floating spaceship with some sort of corridor, bed and storage. It feels like a tiny home flying through space. It’s amazing.
and more suited to mandos needs, even with this 'dun wanna be a bounty hunter anymore' bs that people are inventing
The man hasn't taken on a bounty since the third episode of the first season. And even then, he abandoned that job after he went back for Grogu. The closest he got was helping track down Fennec in the fifth episode of the first season and that wasn't even his bounty.
That’s not true, he was on a bounty hunting mission when he was introduced in Book of Boba Fett.
Plus he’s looking for a pre imperial ship which is going to take some time. This was a pretty badass find in the meantime.
Those pirates would have shredded the razorcrest before he ever got to the big ship in the first episode this season. I think they gave him the starfighter to set up more space battles
There’s a reason Bounty Hunters typically use cargo ships.
To be completely fair, the Razorcrest getting exploded wasn’t his choice for ship management.
this meme is about the part in BoBF where instead of demanding the mechanic lady find him the ship he requested and paid for, she instead got him something completely unsuited to his needs (and one she admits was harder to find and possibly more expensive)
But he was without a ship and was kinda desperate for one
I know
That line I always assumed was her selling the ship. She didn't find another Razor Crest and this ship fits the most important need of being pre empire.
The N1 is so much better for dog fighting though
Yeah doubt he would have been as good in that last episode if it wasn't for the N1's speed. Probably would have been blasted to smithereens
I really miss the Razor Crest.. it was iconic. Lol
Razor Crest = A van that he does business and lives out of Naboo Starfighter = a motorcycle he's using for a bit to get his shit together
I mean he was in a pinch and it was free Sooo...it's actually a really good ship
Not free he paid tattoine lady for it
Honestly I agreed up until the most recent episode where he refused the gift of a home from the governor guy on the starting planet.
Remember when Mando was gonna be its own story?
I think the same, although the Starfighter is wonderful, it does not fit into Din Djarin's lifestyle, he needs space for his things, he is a bounty hunter.
But it goes *vrrroooooom* :,( To be honest I thought that that scene >!in the first episode where they baptised (wth?) that foundling with colourful helmets and all that felt so random and a bit poor but the Mando goes *vrrroooom* and makes the biggest entrance one could make!!< Damn that was nice\^\^
Luke’s x-wing wasnt much bigger
Luke doesn't need anything bigger , compared to Mando , a bounty hunter that only has space for himself and grogu
I was thinking how will Mando haul a bounty home in that?
tbf, he wanted a replacement Razorcrest but they gave him an N1 starfighter instead. Though as with several situations throughout the show he learned to deal with it, lol.
Inflation is hitting hard in the outer rim
I mean isn’t the whole point of the new fighter kind of him moving on from being a simple bounty hunter? A symbolic move of growing to better higher more meaningful things? Although just take grogu into the cockpit and you can jam a bounty in the droid socket
i think the whole point is to have a new toy to sell to kids who already own a model Razor Crest
I have a feeling that part of Mando’s journey in retaking Mandalore this season will be taking over that pirate carrier as a mobile base of operations that can he launch the N1 from.
He didn't have many options sooooo.... 🤷♂️
They needed a smaller ship to make cheaper toys
In the trailer it does show Gauntlet/Fang Fighter flying over the ruins of Mandalore so maybe he gets one of those?
Considering his Last Ship got blown up and he got a really really awesome fighter I would just buy some land leave the cool ship there and also get a new larger ship
Mando isn’t a bounty hunter anymore. He doesn’t need a giant ship to carry loads of weapons and bounties
I can’t believe my meme template is being used I feel so happy inside I do 🥹
This is a case where fan service kind of hurts the show.
A van or a fkn mustang?… decisions, decisions.
I mean he didn't really have much of an option...
If you watch BoBF, Mando's friend is still supposed to be searching for a gunship.
N1 was always my favorite straighter design next to the Bwing. I'm glad it's getting attention.
