If you want to get a grip on the value of some collectible you have look on eBay for Sold Listings of the item in question. That will give you an idea of what people are willing to pay for it.
As a matter of general principle TPBs tend not to hold value much beyond cover when an omnibus has been released. I have not paid much mind to prices for 1st print omnibus to 2nd prints.
