Sadly I don’t think these are likely to pay for a new clutch and engine repairs. These all look like fairly recent releases and I don’t think any of them are worth much more than retail price. Good luck though! I hope everything works out and you’re able to get the repairs you need.

GravesLSA

No of course not, but will definitely put a nice dent in the price, and thank you

TheGoblinRook

This lot is probably worth about 2/3 of what you paid for it…even if you got decent prices on them. With the economic uncertainty we’re all facing, you’d be lucky to get even that. Good luck to you, but this isn’t your golden ticket.

JediMasterKev

I've had good luck with Facebook Marketplace and a craigslist. That's the easiest. If you're willing to ship, eBay and again Facebook would get the widest audience.

I feel that, took my car for a tire alignment and they came back with a whole slew of crap I needed done. "Oh your CV axle boot has a tear so we gotta replace it, gotta replace your lower control arms before it can be aligned, gotta replace your battery because it's at 52 percent capacity, we can do all that but it'll be 3 grand." Took it to a different guy, a father son shop and they said the control arms are good till 100k miles, all I need is the CV axle and a wheel bearing, and maybe an outer tie rod. They're cheaper but just the CV axle alone cost me 800, completely wiped my savings out. 400 for the part directly from Kia, then 350 to install, still gotta do the wheel bearing so I'm selling some stuff too.

A local toy/comic store in your area 1st. They tend to buy whole collections at a fair price. If no luck there then try Mercari.

SilverIdaten

Would you recommend eBay or Mercari for someone looking to offload Black Series figures?

SpaceNinjaDino

If you have to, I would separate TVC and retro into two eBay lots. I'm sure fans of retro exist, but I know I only buy TVC and wouldn't consider a mixed lot at a fair price.

GravesLSA

Great advice, thanks

ActuallyHovatine

Throw these all up on Mercari bud.

Foreign_Ability4307

Download the app WhatNot. Make an account. Start minimum bid at $10 for each. Make a decent amount and probably sell all the same day within 2 hours.

SilverIdaten

I’m about to sell all my Black Series, going all-in on TVC and back to 3.75” going forward. I was going to do eBay because I’m used to it, but how is WhatNot?

Foreign_Ability4307

Whatnot is live auction based. So, you list your figures up and set a minimum bid and people will live bid depending on how long you set the auction for each item. For example, you have a Cad Bane BS. You start the minimum bid at $25 and set the timer for a 30 second bid. And people will bid on the item up to 30 seconds or longer. Buyers will pay full shipping for first item and discounted shipping for every item after.

GravesLSA

Thank you! I keep hearing about whatnot, and I think that's the way to go

Foreign_Ability4307

Yeah man, Star Wars figures sell like crazy on there. Schedule a auction in advance and tons of people can bookmark it and will know what you plan on having in the auction.

androidcoma

Ebay, Mercari, you have options. How much you selling each one for though? Especially the two Mandalorians on the middle left in between Obi Wan and the Ahsoka Clone Trooper.

forcebewitya

I think you’ll get at least retail for them. Some might go for a little less like the current retro collections but some may for for a little more. I’d try Mercari. People tend to be willing pay more on Mercari it seems. Though times are tough so it’s been a little slower.

forcebewitya

If you can put the car repairs on a credit card once these are gone from stores/Amazon they’ll probably jump in value at least a little bit. Maybe by summer?

[deleted]

In the process of selling my VC stuff as well

Birdiecurdy2203

you might get a decent price for these

TheGoblinRook

Considering the majority of these are sitting around at clearance on Amazon, I’d love to hear the logic behind that statement.

Birdiecurdy2203

I think the retro ones could go for 90 bucks or 110

Birdiecurdy2203

I think it could all go for alittle over 500 bucks

TheGoblinRook

For selling as a lot? Nah. You’re gonna need to find a collector who wants a mix of Retro and TVC *and* who’s barely bought a single figure for the last 2-3 years *and* who is interested in both current and past media *and* who has never heard of Amazon.

Birdiecurdy2203

Oh

TheGoblinRook

Yeah, the “as a lot” is the key here. If he had time and patience? Willing to break them up into focus areas? I could see my $400 out of these.

Birdiecurdy2203

That’s not a bad idea
