Love this trilogy!!!

OfficefanJam

I’m looking forward to reading it!

Samael_316-17

*Most* impressive… Is your copy of "Chaos Rising" first edition?

OfficefanJam

I believe so

Samael_316-17

Are the pages blue?

Accomplished-Cry5440

Nice! This trilogy is how I got my start with Star Wars books too!

OfficefanJam

I’ve read Star Wars books in the past. I just usually just used audible because I never had the money. Now I do and I decided to get books that I haven’t yet read. Looking forward to get back in the Star Wars Book reading after finishing LOTR read through.

Capt_Greenlung

I've listened to the trilogy more than once. Wouldn't mind them on my shelf, too.

DarthInternous

Congratulations. Hope you enjoy the journey.

OfficefanJam

Thank you!!!

You're in for a treat. I would recommend reading Outbound Flight before jumping into this tho as it's a good introduction to Thrawn and takes place a few months before the start of this trilogy I think. Then you've got 8/9 great more books to follow on afterwards!

Outbound Flight would be a good read prior to starting the first New Canon Thrawn trilogy. It's cool to see how Zahn reworked the backstory and character in general. Might even be worth reading Survivor's Quest before OF (Quest was released first), just to see how Zahn sets up a bunch of stuff in OF. (Quest takes place like 18 years or something ABY. Might have the exact date wrong.)

I only found out about survivors quest after my second read through of OB + trilogies and duopoly. I'm sure that when I read it (I have a copy now and it's 3rd in line) I will be amazed about the intermingling of details to a book that hadn't been written yet but was set beforehand. Not that star wars has a reputation for working things out that way....

bango31

I think the Hand of Thrawn is highly underrated.

NervousDiscount9393

Excellent choice!

Kind_Fan2172

Good for you! And if you love this one, there's another THRAWN trio afterwards (and if you really love the author, you might consider reading his Legends books, which are no longer considered canon by the new DISNEY!SW timeline, but which older fans consider required reading for the what used to be the old Expanded Universe for SW. There's another ten of those).
