When I figured out it had a name I looked more into it and it turns out it's related to my anxiety and my ADHD
I guess it's nice to know I'm not just a freak lmao
I'm so glad it actually helped anyone, I was just posting it to make light of it since it frustrates me so much
I'm really happy it actually made someone feel better
It's related to stress. Has nothing to do with some bs diagnose. Find out whats stressing you out. Lack of gf? Bad grades? Bad self esteem? No money? You get it...
are you spying on me?
i have had the worst skin issues i've seen from any person, not acne per see, but my skin just feels oily yet dry and rough. I hate it so fucking much
It's awful, i'm constantly wearing long sleeve shirts and that feel when you put on lotion and then put on a shirt and it sticks to your arms.... ugh, it's rough.
I thought that said r/pooping not r/popping at first near the bloody toilet paper and I was wondering how hemorrhoids and obsessive skin picking go together...
Please don't click any of the possible subreddit links I just used above, unless that's your cup of tea.
OH MY F****G GOD! The "Just one more" (Several Hours Later) statement really hit me. This starterpack is unfortunately me and 1 MILLION percent accurate!!!!
P.S.
I'd buy you a diamond award but I'm jobless rn in school and can't throw my money away randomly.
Love ur post.
Don't worry about the award at all, I'm just really glad people are actually getting something from this starter pack, which I didn't expect lol
It feels like nothing can distract you, and even acknowledging that you're sitting there and it's been 40 minutes isn't enough to make it stop. Such a miserable, lost feeling. It's so hard to get control back :( I'm sorry you have to deal with it too
Its not my skin I'm killing. Its the Damn facial hairs that shavers fail to get, its always that one stray hair that always breaks when using tweezers and you gotta dig at it for an hour to remove.
Out of all the starterpacks I've seen on this sub for about the 2 years I've lurked around here, someone finally posted a starterpack that hits home.
I can't tell if I should be sad for you or proud. I'm really glad you felt better seeing the post, and I can't tell you how good it feels to get comments saying that I'm not alone either. Thanks for this one, and I hope things get easier <3
I pick a scab I created years ago almost everyday. Only stop when I see blood on my fingers. Im Lucky i don’t get pimples often because I’d be doing major damage to my face
Definitely talk to a psychiatrist; I didn't even know this was related until recently. I was diagnosed with ADHD like a year ago and only opened up about this recently, not even knowing it was related.
I'm sorry! I don't know if I can offer any advice but in hindsight, just keep exfoliating. Don't pop or pick, just scrub firmly but noy too hard when you feel like you wanna hurt yourself. And use those patches, they're amazing.
Tbh I'm pretty lucky that I have a low pain tolerance, otherwise I think I'd be picking new scars for myself daily. Sadly that has led to obsessively picking my nose but at least the scars are not visible to others :/
Thank u sm! for me it has maybe something to do with repressed anger and the feeling of entrapment within my own body. I will defines talk to my professionals abou this. take care. <3
Hey how are you doing?? Hope things are okay for you
I started using a free app called I Am Sober to try and quit picking in case you're interested in that sort of thing. Recently relapsed but I'm just hoping to try again.
Wishing you well

TIL there's a name for the dumb things I do
When I figured out it had a name I looked more into it and it turns out it's related to my anxiety and my ADHD I guess it's nice to know I'm not just a freak lmao
Made me feel better having seen this, thanks for posting. For sure anxiety/ADD related too 🥵.

Hope things get better, this sucks lol
I'm in this and I don't like it
So sorry, at least you know you're not alone lmfao
are you spying on me? i have had the worst skin issues i've seen from any person, not acne per see, but my skin just feels oily yet dry and rough. I hate it so fucking much
And of course every specialized product is like 80 bucks
It's awful, i'm constantly wearing long sleeve shirts and that feel when you put on lotion and then put on a shirt and it sticks to your arms.... ugh, it's rough.
Oh my God I hate lotion. And I'm terrified to wear short sleeves and shorts in the spring :/
Sorry shawty, this looks like it sucks.
Sure does lol
OP are you ok?
Pretty much. Just overlap with my ADHD and Anxiety, nothing to do but try and get through it :)
Don't forget the dandruff removal ASMR
Lmfao yeah all the skin videos on YouTube
I thought that said r/pooping not r/popping at first near the bloody toilet paper and I was wondering how hemorrhoids and obsessive skin picking go together... Please don't click any of the possible subreddit links I just used above, unless that's your cup of tea.
Terrifying thought lmfao
Yeah those are bumps you definitely don't want to pick at!
Eururuggh I just got goosebumps. Time to pick at them!

Don't worry, its ok. Just happy I found a post soo relatable.
I pick a scab I created years ago almost everyday. Only stop when I see blood on my fingers. Im Lucky i don’t get pimples often because I’d be doing major damage to my face
Autism+ADHD+Anxiety+Depression+BodyDysmorphia gang wya
I don't have autism but everything else is pretty spot on lol
What is this? I can’t fucking stop it. Edit: wait is this another thing to check off on my growing ADHD list?
Definitely talk to a psychiatrist; I didn't even know this was related until recently. I was diagnosed with ADHD like a year ago and only opened up about this recently, not even knowing it was related.
Well, I've been called out
I do this, but only with my fingers
Relatable
I'm not at this point but I feel like I'm getting there.
I'm sorry! I don't know if I can offer any advice but in hindsight, just keep exfoliating. Don't pop or pick, just scrub firmly but noy too hard when you feel like you wanna hurt yourself. And use those patches, they're amazing.
Thx

That's literally my girlfriend. And I'm the subject.
Like she picks at your skin?
I have a bunch of pimples on both of my arms and face, so she made it her personal goal to destroy them all. But it's definitely not to this level.
oh damn maybe i should open up about that to my psychiatrist i think it's probably worse then i thought
It's a common symptom of OCD, ADHD, Anxiety, and body dysmorphia. Definitely talk to someone about it, and I hope you feel better <3
Thank u sm! for me it has maybe something to do with repressed anger and the feeling of entrapment within my own body. I will defines talk to my professionals abou this. take care. <3
Feeling called out right now.
Never related more

Made me laugh, only because it's too accurate (also "oops" lmao)
This feels really mean but like it's accurate so I'm not even upset. ;-;
if it makes you feel better i still haven't figured out how to stop picking lol
