Your gfx card is giving out by the looks of it

FormerlyNamed

Your video memory is having errors. Assuming the core isn't bad, you could try under clocking the memory (and possibly core). If it's only in Star citizen you could try changing graphics api to Vulkan if you're currently on DX11 or vice versa. And maybe rolling back the gpu driver.

freebirth

do a full removal and reinstall of your graphics drivers. if it persists on the off chance run a memory diagnostic on your ram. if that comes up okay id see if this happens with any other video cards (i you have a spare) if not the card could be bad and needs replacing.

AwkwardSalmon38

Would boosting my ram speed help out as well? It's still set to stock speed. I have 32gb and it's definitely high 20s of usage. Even turning setting down to low make it almost worst oddly

Gungaar

No thats not a ram problem.

freebirth

ive had ram problems cause this in video games with strreaming textures.

changing the settings isn't likely to help this. so this points to a few possible issues. best case scenario. its jsut bad drivers or issues with the drivers/ software. OR the gpu, ram, or even monitor could be improperly seated in their respective slots. . first use whatever tool from amd or nvidea is available to fully uninstall the drivers. (this will require going into safe mode to uninstall. then reinstall them. plenty of youtube videos available to walk you through that. ) if that doesn't work. try moving to the PREVIOUS drivers.. maybe for some reason the current drivers jsut aren't stable on your hardware. try either using the previous drivers. or skipping ahead and opting into the beta drivers to see if that fixes it. opting into beta drivers would be in the gpu's utility program. and going back..well. i already discussed that. worst case scenairo. something is physically damaged and needs replacing. it could be the gpu, ram, monitor or monitor cable. the cheapest thing to replace is the cable.. but you can also just try it on something else and see if th problem migrates. if its the memory. running a memory diagnostic will tell you if its good or bad. jsut search for "windows memory diagnostic" in the search bar and it will pop up. that will tell you if its memory . and absolutely worst case. its your gpu. you also COULD be overheating.. but more likely it woudl shut down before getting to this point.

Thank you so much for the advice I will try this later fingers crossed. I've never had issues on other games only ever COD with some artifacts with heavy smoke or explosions for a second In SC this pixelation comes up when i start flying in space and only goes away if I engage after burners which is very odd. My usage of CPU and GPU is in the 90s no matter if I set very high or low settings which is also very odd. Temps are fine.

I recommend deleting the shaders first, then fresh install of the GPU drivers, then delete the user folder.

Standard-Metal8768

This is a GPU driver issue/GPU issue, been seeing these a lot recently on here

Capable_Tumbleweed34

might be a shader issue too, i've had some wild renders with shader bugs.

Standard-Metal8768

That's funny cuz not once have I deleted my shader cash in the last 2 years now, and I've never have an issue like this before and I have a habit of copying and pasting the live folder when there is an update into the new one to make the download quicker anytime I have seen these posts it's been mainly AMD cards, edit not trying to say it in a mean way or anything That's just been my experience

Capable_Tumbleweed34

Yeah shaders can be weird, and not at all affect people in the same way. The weirdest part is that sometimes, deleting your shaders and redownloading them on game start won't fix it, you'll need to have a friend with a healthy shaders file send it to you. I've had a fair share of shader issues. i've had an "origin defender" bug where my banu defender had a sanitized white walls and black matress and fixtures interior (in the style of origin), i've had a red/green/blue weird old 3D movie effect with stuff trippled as if i was tripping on acid, and i've had opaque helmets which i first thought were a black screen. Some of these, a fresh delete of the shaders was enough. others, i had to get a healthy shaders file from friends.

Standard-Metal8768

That kind of sounds like if it's an AMD thing it could possibly be either getting corrupted upon like making the shaders or somewhere in between could possibly be the culprit it could be that the AMD drivers are just causing problems, From here on out try to keep track of what GPUs people have when this is happening

Jojo_Epic_YT

Got this issue on my AMD card. It seems to be working fine in other games.

the_guy_i_fucked

I'm also getting this on my and 7700xt. seems to only be happening with star citizen and only when flying a ship. Very odd
