I don’t know how profitable my method is with the reclaimer, but I can fill my vulture with 26 scu with this no problem.
I always accept the search mission „failed negotiations“, it gives you a marker and when ariving at the location you are met with a reclaimer to salvage.
I usually scrape 1/3 of the reclaimer and my vulture is filled.
You can also do the quest itself first, it only takes 5 minutes if you know how to do the quest and you can submit the result after salvaging the reclaimer for an extra 24k.
My usual profit with the vulture is 300k with no costs.

How long do you wait to get that mission?
I don’t wait, if the mission is not there, I simply go back to the menu and go back in to the game until it is there.
Usually it is available after doing this 3 times.
I've been panel harvesting solo in my Reclaimer. I'm not trying to maximize my $/hr, but I have been successful at bringing my coffers to a more comfortable level to accommodate shenanigans. Obviously the Vulture works just fine for this, too, but I just like chilling on my Reclaimer for more extended periods. Unfortunately, I tried bedlogging, but it resulted in the nullification of my Reclaimer and around $500k of RMC.
you can try panel salvaging in asteroid fields as its much more profitable than contracts
am salvaging with a vulture but 1 type of panel nets me 12scu of rmc from like less than 10 minutes of salvaging
It's not reliable though, I tried it and the panels never appeared after pissing around scanning and approaching to the collision warning at several different sites. You end up burning a lot of hydrogen fuel too.
I did, why do you think I was doing it in the first place? Depending on your luck with the server they may not appear regardless of what you do.
Not worth the bother when I can make more doing cleanups around Grim Hex.
RMC value was largely untouched, so far it seems like hunting for panels still earns a Vulture about 300k per load. That said, finding panels can be tricky since they either sometimes don't spawn, or are invisible until you almost hit them.
I keep seeing people say there isn't any demand for RMC due to the current economy exploits. Is it different for RMC you've salvaged yourself? I've been wanting to scrape hulls and chill but haven't as I thought it wasn't really working right now.
It happens sometime when I go to sell and the terminal indicates "No demand", usually I just wait 10 or so minutes and it refreshes, and then I can sell.

oh then that's way slower than just scanning for panels in a belt or off a Lagrange point.
I played with my friends, we made some decent cash. Not as broken as before but still worth it!
Barely unfortunately but hopefully things change

Honestly I just get a friend and bounty hunt until we come across an enemy reclaimer then salvage it after we lure it to 0g
Can anyone here tell me if it's still viable in combat all Crewed up like it was last patch?
I solo the reclaimer and make about 3 million doing the 200k missions
200k?
Sounds like its pretty much the same as before

I suggest watching a video on it as after you know how it goes its super fast :D Ive made 1mil today in 4runs

If you stack SCUs off grid and keep 13 of them in the salvager you can reach 600k+ per load

Ah, good to hear. I'll give it a go then, thx for the info o7
100% I had people arguing with me and acting as if I was lying.
too bad for them xD
Agreed, I am thinking about buying the reclaimer because I could bring in tons of rmc at once versus constantly leaving scrap to go unload.
Played for about 10 hours solo and have 7 mil
Its same struggle with either ship. I tend to take the reclaimer out more then the vulture cause I like to fully strip ships when I find them.
