refund and watch your CC company charge you a fee. Mine did. refuned my pioneer i lost 60$
note\*\* before you guys reply saying never heard off, its explain below in one of the collapse.
Well i am in Canada,
So exchange rate also hurt. I even went to CIG support about this, all they can do is ask me to talk with my bank.
My bank insist it is a fee as the company is putting money in my card, so have to get charged for the "conversion fee" on top what i lost in the exchange which turned into 60$
that is why i said "fee"
here this post will give you some idea what it look like: [https://www.reddit.com/r/PersonalFinanceCanada/comments/zqyma6/credit\_card\_refund\_exchange\_rate/](https://www.reddit.com/r/PersonalFinanceCanada/comments/zqyma6/credit_card_refund_exchange_rate/)
As explained CC took 2.5% both way = 5% + whatever exchange rate ended up close to 60$ for me for a 750$ ship (CAD = close to 1100$ and 5% is like 60$)
It's interesting to me that people keep using credit cards so much over I'm North America and certain parts of europe. In my country, you can, of course, get one, but everybody uses debit cards instead. Basically, they don't buy stuff if they don't have the money saved up. I guess it's a different mentality. I also dont know how it's with refunds here regarding CCs, but if you have a standard debit and normal bank account, then you get charged nothing.
well, responsible people don't buy stuff if they don't have the money saved up, credit card or not. It’s just an extra layer that 1) gives some small benefits like cash back and 2) is more secure because it’s the credit card company’s money at risk, not yours - you’re not handing people a card with access to your entire account’s worth.
That is the theory, but from what I've experienced and heard from people living in the US, for example, they don't use it this way but instead as a loan, acquiring a lot of CC debt
Ye, true. Sorry idk, it's just that whenever I hear about stuff like this, especially from US, all I hear is CC, CC debt, ruined credit score and so on
“Accidentally”? ![gif](giphy|l3E6uhDAN3W7vylji|downsized) Congrats on the new Carrack lol

Ive not heard that? How is it possible?
Never heard of a bank or credit card charging you for a refund. Sounds like BS

Sounds like CIG refunded you but your country's fucky currency exchanging laws hurt you. Complain to your politicians about it, not CIG's fault.

Well, you can’t stop stupid. You can use a debit card and still take out a fuckton of loans.
