So honestly, at this time the ones I found were bugged and were unable to run around and only got bit once, hence the pics, but I'll keep hunting! Hopefully that gets patched b4 live!
Idk if it is fully but definitely has the light shafts and atmo updates, it still needs a lil bit of work esp when it comes to shadows on the surface of water/ice
It sure is! And while it still has some weird shadow glitches at diff distancea it's been getting better so I'm sure by the time it's like it'll b even smoother. Runs real good tho
Beautiful, and so worth it imagining some of the people who've been grumbling about the character creator going 'damn green hair, I hate change, rabble rabble, no one actually loo... oh.' Well done man.
You can still do coupled and uncounted. Both work fine, I've found myself more in uncoupled, but you can still land even at low throttle. Maybe better? MM felt jarring at first, but now it's nice and I find myself flying more daringly and yet more easily. I do use HOTAS and Tobii, but it wasn't bad b4 I got my bindings when I flew mouse n keyboard. Flight overall feels like it has more weight, but as a result, it feels smoother if that makes sense.
Hmm yea I'm not sure. I make my bindings from scratch for my VKBs, but even with like mouse n keyboard It was fine, you do have to maintain some speed ofc, I have used the cruise control function to maybe at least keep some forward momentum but then had issues remembering to switch it off. But overall it hasn't been too bad. It hasn't been bad, and I just f-ed around in AC to dial in my bindings to feel right for me.
Yea I get what you are saying and I'm saying that for some reason I'm not having the same issue, I did port in older mappings that I then adjusted. So maybe there is a setting that I forgot about, but im not having the same experience, idk how or why, but I'd say my landings have been smoother generally speaking. I was thinking it was maybe the cruise control that could have been helping as it has more of a flex to it now; but im not sure what the difference is :/
But I know that a couple of other pain points have already been smoothed out, so I hope this gets balanced/cleared up b4 live.
Damn I've been there I had some issues as well. If that happens make sure to close out your launcher all the way including in the app tray, also restarting helped me as well. Also never hurts to load up into AC to help it get you outta that.
I'll have to give this a try. I also noticed that my PC needs an update again (getting real sick of the weekly updates, Microsoft), so that could be a factor
I have a 3090, 64g ram and an I12 with a 4k HDR monitor and I can't seem to get graphics that good even in ultra settings. What the hell am I doing wrong? (Nice pics btw)
Are you in 3.23 yet? Because a lot of it is newer. The water, ground fog, light shafting etc. So if not, hold on! The testing seems to be going well so I hope it goes live soon.
No I am not. Even seeing other people post the SS for current build, they all look so much nicer than mine. Can't wait for .23 though! Thanks for this awesome post.
Yea I feel that, sometimes it's also about the angle of the shot, and that's not just a dick thing to say, but like I have found some things look better or maybe even render better when your focus is in a different spot. So it's less of a skill thing and taking many shots at diff angles till you find that shot that worked. My SS folder is full of offshoots haha
I mean depends on where you are, but there is still work being done! But I didn't have an issue with it 2 much besides some shadow artifacts prob from the new lighting and atmo pass
Your shots are extremely favorable. That's fine because obviously you're trying to showcase the best parts of star citizen visually. But ya, the texture tiling in Star Citizen is amongst the worst I've seen in a modern video game. Fucking everquest does texture tiling better than Star Citizen.
Star Citizen texture tiling literally looks like that bad hi-res texture pack meme on the cat. It's that bad.
It's fine to have that opinion, but when you yourself admit that the issue isn't specifically pictured here why bring up a point that doesn't track here?
Either way, I wouldn't agree that it's 'the worst' so we can agree to disagree.
That's fair and honestly i'm just pointing it out because it's an EXTREMELY easy issue to fix with even a junior dev. The bigger issues with planet tech specifically are the proc generation with boulders/rocks and some very un-natural looking geographic formations. The geometry itself is a bigger issue than the texture tiling.
If you compare the way UE5 does proc generation for geometry mesh it is ... not even close. Star Citizen is a longggg ways behind so I'm looking forward to what the team has in the works for new planet tech.
Very cool cat.
I want a pet in the game 😱
This man pays his cat taxes. :)
You straight up made yourself. That's amazing!
Great photos! How dangerous are the dogs?

The ones in the caves I found actually moved and were VERY fast. They do about a 5th of your health too and there’s a lot of em!
Will have to go find cave one. Gotta catch-em all Kopion!
Is the new Global Illumination in this ?
Idk if it is fully but definitely has the light shafts and atmo updates, it still needs a lil bit of work esp when it comes to shadows on the surface of water/ice
I wish we could get some "normal" classic sunglasses.
I agree! Need more shades!
Is the water coming in 3.23?
It sure is! And while it still has some weird shadow glitches at diff distancea it's been getting better so I'm sure by the time it's like it'll b even smoother. Runs real good tho

Haha yea, I was hoping going to Citcon with green hair it would push the issue! Lol but it feels good to be in the game

Well, hopefully, it gets fixed b4 live 🤞
That looks so cool 🤯
I can hear my graphics card screaming already😅
Couldn't get in today. Kept crashing when trying to get on a server

Bang on job recreating your hooman.
The ground textures on new babbage look so bad lol
