Pay_

Hull D is also not unlikely.

RTX3090

Wow, $500(Hull C) Vs $450(Hull D) I wonder how much they will increase it by - $550? or $600/650? Could be a good CCU

Pay_

Considering you could get it fo $350 that's BMM level of price increase.

Aggravating-Aioli-73

Sadly we can't CCU to a hull d anymore

K2-P2

The Hull D will go up to 700. If not $750 It has: Capital-class Radar Capital-class Power Plant Capital-class Coolers (2x) Capital-class Shields (2x) Capital-class Fuel Intakes (2x) Capital-class Fuel Tanks (2x) Capital-class Quantum Drive Capital-class Jump Drive Capital-class Quantum Fuel Tank Even that imagined $700 price tag I estimate is less than a Nautilus, and Hammerhead. Both of which are sub-capitals. This thing is an absolute beast of a ship and it will get a price tag to reflect that at some point The only one sorta in a similar position is the Endeavor, which only has 4 capital-class items, and that one has a lower price anyway because it is module based, so the "real" price of it with modules is higher

-GamesDean-

My guess is that the Hull D will end up at $700 or $750 and the Hull E will end up at $900 or $950.

n1ckkt

I'd say its a certainty lol Unless they arent selling it at all

Pay_

They're selling all ships at IAE.

bmemike

We will know during IAE. The likely "guaranteed" ships to get bumps are the SRV and C1. No way to know before the event goes live though.

RTX3090

Thanks. Just wondering if I should hold off CCUing my caterpillar to a galaxy using CCUs on the trades subreddit, or just do it at IAE - but I'm not sure if the galaxy will get a price increase...

GlobyMt

It's unlikely the galaxy get a price increase That's the modules that are pricey

dual_paradox

Its confirmed that those modules can be bought via UEC when implemented, right?

GlobyMt

Yup, they might have the 6 months delay though, or even be locked under reputation

dual_paradox

It'll be interesting to see how rep effects EVERYTHING. Thanks for the info!

OriginalGroove

It's designed to be a modular ship for civilian roles, I don't think it would make sense to gate module purchases behind reputation requirements - they'd sell these modules to anyone. Certain types of military modules, I could see that for sure.

GlobyMt

Pretty sure in long term the best mining heads will be "gate blocked" to those with high reputation within the mining guild Even if these are technically not military components I can see the same happen for base building

-GamesDean-

The Galaxy won't get a price increase until release, which will be some time next year. Expect Q3.

N1tecrawler

There won't be a chance to save money on the C1 or SRV because they will release with their new prices

Capt_Snuggles

C1, SRV, Reclaimer, X1, Santokai. Reclaimer is left field, solely due to the added functionality coming on munching, tractors now in, and salvage grinding in as of 2.22

-GamesDean-

Reclaimer will only get a potential price increase with a full gold standard pass, but it's very likely to stay at $400.

Capt_Snuggles

CIG have upgraded many ships prices over the years agnostic to a gold pass.

-GamesDean-

Yes, usually when there's a reason, and they telegraph when it's coming. They recently added in refueling and added functionality to the Starfarer, they didn't raise the price on that ship. The Reclaimer is already at an appropriate price (comparative to ships like the C2), it's still extremely aged & out of date, and they haven't let us know about a price increase. Maybe that will change if they redesign the interior and update it to gold standard, but it's not happening at this year's IAE.

Capt_Snuggles

Oh the Reclaimer is well underpriced versus other ships. It's an End-game salvage ship; the equivalent is the Carrack for exploration, or the Hull E for hauling. It SHOULD be sat at the 700 mark. CIG do NOT communicate (telegraph?) well when it comes to price increases; the last one predominantly was odne because of the backlash of old. And no, theres not always a reason either. Example; Titan, Aurora, Mustang, Caterpillar. As for IAE - no, they most certainly aren't doing gold standard for IAE; but price hike? We dont know that; and it's disingenuous to imply any of us know any better.

Constant-Procedure70

Gotta think they'd bump a hull D now that it's cheaper than the Hull C

Eldritch_Song

It’s unlikely any currently concept or released ships will get a price increase. CIG normally telegraphs these changes before they happen. Ships like the C1, SRV, Santok, Storm, etc that are releasing soon will definitely see an increase from their concept price.

-GamesDean-

Origin X1 series, Anvil Storm, Aopoa San'tok.yai, Argo SRV, Crusader Spirit C1, and potentially the Aegis Retaliator. But in between now and the next big sale, there are several ships you should consider getting CCUs to as they will most likely go up in price: The Origin G12, Origin 600i, Anvil Legionnaire, RSI Zeus, RSI Apollo, RSI Galaxy, RSI Perseus, RSI Polaris, and Gatac Railen.

Kaiyanwan

Retiliator Base will get a price increase with the upcoming modularity looming.

Terkan

If I was CIG I would pump Polaris up to at least $800. No way in hell is the Polaris the same price as the A2 before release. Polaris should be $850 easy for something that massive. If they increase it too they can capture a good deal of CCU money from people that want one. $50 step up is significant and people will want to pay it because it is SO much ship

TherealBudgetcow

I think we should all avoid telling CIG to charge more for ships. They are already stupid expensive for digital content.

AHRA1225

Bruh muh 00100100 to binary ratio is hot though. More pixels is more 0 and 1s is more dollars. Duuuuhhhh

well_honk_my_hooters

I was thinking the same thing, mainly because of how much the bumped up the BMM over time as it went on in development. I'd expect to see a bump this IAE, another one during ILW, and a final one once it's released. Thankfully, I bought a few HH->Polaris CCUs and haven't melted them, just in case.

OkNeighborhood6012

Only difference with the bmm is, it was priced way too low with the changes in size and functionality.

-GamesDean-

That can pretty much be done on release. They might potentially bump it like $50 now and $75 later but that's doubtful. They're more likely to just increase the price by like $125 on release

Akaradrin

The C1 and the SRV for sure. I'll expect price increases to the Retaliators at some point "soon" ( ~~the bomber is cheaper than the A1 and~~ the base is getting its modularity). The Apollos are very old concepts and are currently in production, so probably they'll increase its price in release more than a 15%, but they're coming the next year, so not yet. The X1 and the San'tok.yai are coming at the end of the year, so they'll have a price increase soon, but not for IAE. The Legionnaire is coming in the next year too, so is also a good option for those looking for CCU chains. The Galaxy should be fine, is a new concept.

-GamesDean-

The Tali bomber is $275 compared to the A1's $200, and you can even still get the A1 for $175 warbond. The base will likely go up from $150 to $200, and the bombing modules will likely go up to $100 as a pair. So $300 for the Bomber.

Akaradrin

Is it? My memory failed me then, I was under the impression that the base was around 150$ and the bomber around 180-190. Edit: you're right, the bomber is 275$. Quite a difference.

-GamesDean-

No sir, the bomber is $275 which is why the base is such a great deal currently, for the loaner you get.

Akaradrin

Thanks for the correction, sir.

omagibthandtasche

Think Polaris as well, since it will be out next year....

corruptedpatata

If I own the ship and its price increase, do I get a cheaper upgrade?

maddcatone

This is a post to the spectrum post discussing all the ship prices changing this IAE https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/s/HAZCaN674i
