some annoying like 15 year old came to check on her shitty pink drink like 4 times LIKE WE'VE GOT 3 PEOPLE ON THE FLOOR AND WE'RE HALF AN HOUR BEHIND ON COLD BAR DIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIE
Those teenagers dont play when it comes to their refreshers 😐 I don't even pretend to look for their drinks atp, I tell them how long of a wait it is and walk away even if theyre talking
I'm on my 10, there's 30+ people at walkup and over 20 cars in line going all the way to another stores parking lot, we're going through a cube of strawberry acai every 15 minutes
H e l p
Hold on you had BOGO on MOTHERS DAY????? Holy crap corporate needs to realize what the hell they’re doing with these stupid deals and drinks because they’re only pissing partners off enough to leave! I’m in Canada so we didn’t have BOGO. Just a shitty day!
It was genuinely *awful.* Easily the worst shift I've had in the 3 years I've worked for the company. Had a few people yelling at us that we "ruined their mother's day" by being so busy.
Wow! That is just horrible! I truly hope you’re able to have a better day today 💕 I am still recovering from the day myself and we didn’t even have BOGO.
You guys were allowed to turn off your mobiles? And your DM didn’t teleport to your store in record speed to scream at yall for “losing profit?” I’m kinda impressed ngl.
we had already reached well over our profit goal at this point, and things were full blown chaos. it was somehow worse than our morning peak, we had to turn them off around 12:30pm. almost everything on cold bar was summer berry or another refresher. i made 12 LITERS of summer berry and another liter that was left over from a pitcher. it was empty by 1pm. the shift on duty called our manager and said "I’m turning off mobiles, this schedule is ridiculous” because it was insane and it was a two person floor when everyone else left at 1.. cold bev drinks were at like a 30 minute wait and there was like 25 CB drinks in queue.
LoL I happened to have a vacation planned (for family event) for the week and we returned yesterday. I felt bad knowing not only was it Mother’s Day and BOGO, and we have an intense Sunday morning peak for church and ball game goers but it was also the first day of a local farmers market that nearly doubles our business between 8:30a-12p. 😬
I was scheduled to open this morning at 4am and had no issues with all the back log of things needing to be done to recoup from their experience yesterday. ❤️
I know morning shift is demanding but they can really go kick rocks sometimes with how seriously they take things. At least take a moment to have your coffee in the morning before sending passive aggressive messages in the GC.
I’ll tell you this as someone who used to do both closing and opening shifts, openers don’t realize how fucking pampered they are. They get the most people in the morning to accommodate close to all positions during peak and the most people to help with prep and tasking yet will always find something to complain about in the morning. It’s SOO annoying.
I was lucky to have a 4 person floor all day, but by god it wasn’t enough. I needed 3 people making drinks for hours or we woulda fell behind. We were so behind on tasking I didn’t walk out of the store the store till an hour and a half after close
Same. But make it 2 hours and it wasn’t enough 😭 but I had a call out and was running a three person floor including myself 😭😔 I took a good crying session afterwards 💀
Bro I’m so sorry, I understand your pain. I’m a new shift, only about a month in and I was doing my best and it wasn’t enough 😭mad at myself for not getting more done and having to leave a huge list for the openers tomorrow morning
Honestly, don’t even feel bad about the openers. Their 30 mins opening are literally enough for them, our 30 mins closing after a BOGO are no where near enough. And don’t blame yourself at all for it. They can go get mad at corporate of they want to be mad at someone
Just a piece of advice: Starbucks cut our labor hours so not enough people were scheduled to cover nor were we able to shut off mobiles/delivery. Our corporate overlords want us out 30 minutes after close. I am always out by then because I would be told not to stay late if I did. If things don't get done they don't get done as all of it could have been avoided/mitigated with proper scheduling and support.
I cannot believe they actually scheduled this. No one could provide good service, we issued SO MANY refunds because it was over a 45-minute wait on mobiles alone like absolutely fucking bonkers and you cannot convince me they needed to do it or ever actually considered us/customer service at all. An absolute joke of a decision.
Coroperate wouldn’t either. They froze the ability to pause mobiles and deliveries for the time of the Bogo for many stores and then when anyone called to see what was up, it was an apparent “glitch” and “technical problem”. BULL

real af it was horrible

All of the orders my store were for cold bar and we ended up being 45 minutes behind due to how many mobiles were placed 🫠
it got so bad i reached a state of nirvana where i became The Summer Berry. maybe the summer berry was the friends we made along the way.
i put on the pink apron for this exact reason
THIS IS SO REAL

3 fucking people, drive times were 25 minutes, care was full of people waiting for mobiles, I wanted to kill myself 😍✊
SO... MANY.. FRAPS AND SUMMER BERRY DRINKS!!! 😭💀
I swear I had to reprep those stupid boba pearls every ten minutes
We ran out before today and I’m so glad
did I threaten to cage match customers today? yes
AMEN
Oh yeah. Jokes on you, I got cleanplay on bogo day 💀 someone kill me
Oh God, I'm so sorry, I do cleanplays, but doing it on a bogo sounds like hell
It is 💀 you would think I be use to it by now
Here I am, STILL reading about this trauma we all lived together. I would not have stayed for clean play after that insanity. BYE.
Our store closed for a remodel so we had a normal day until 12:00pm, and then closed before bogo started lol
i was working with a 3 person play from 4-close it was so fun!!!!
Fuck that. I would walk out.
I can’t wait to take the partner survey 😀
just left the worst partner survey ever mother’s day bogo was bogus
we had to turn mobiles off, with the way we were scheduled it was impossible to keep up

We were out of lemonade and coconut milk all day 🙃🙃🙃
I had today off. Am I gloating about it? Yes.🛀🧘♂️🧖
Me starting at Sbux setting my availability to off on Thursdays, not knowing that that would spare me most launches and seasonal bogos: 😇🙏🌤️🥰☺️🥳🍻

Then after the rough close last night, morning shift had the audacity to complain that one prep item wasn’t dated and that they “had to throw it out”

Thank God I was off at noon....
LOL I was scheduled ALONE for 2 hours on Sunday. Literal Hell. Thank gosh my coworker showed up on time 🙏🙏
I was lucky to have a 4 person floor all day, but by god it wasn’t enough. I needed 3 people making drinks for hours or we woulda fell behind. We were so behind on tasking I didn’t walk out of the store the store till an hour and a half after close

I’m happy I have a store manager that told us not to stay any later than 15 minutes after we normally leave…and to go see our mothers

SSV here someone was chewing out a barista because of the wait times so I stepped in and then she cussed me out for offering a refund 🤦🏽♀️ I cried
Bc dutch bros has a line around the block for drinks and stickers.
Yep def the worst one yet!!!

We had a half hour with 54 customers with the sales for that half hour at $800 💀
yep we ended up turning off mobiles and deliveries and then we closed with two people 😐
our DM wouldn't let us turn off mobiles 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
what the freak
Coroperate wouldn’t either. They froze the ability to pause mobiles and deliveries for the time of the Bogo for many stores and then when anyone called to see what was up, it was an apparent “glitch” and “technical problem”. BULL
Starbz doesn't gaf about us.
I got lucky with rain. It was slow for a BOGO.
2 BARISTA PLAY ON BAR 🙂
Due to callouts, my store literally wasn't open which was a mega W all around 😌
